"He stayed in the county town," Sheng Qian paused, then asked, "Has anything happened at the Long family's place?"
Zhao Niangen hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.
Sheng Qian frowned; it seemed something had happened when she left.
"Let's talk about it after we've moved all this stuff."
