Chapter 53 Returning to Town

Sheng Qian was sent away.

Standing at a distance, Sheng Qian glanced back at the house.

She gave a cold, aloof smile.

There will definitely be other opportunities in the future.

Standing on the high ground, Hua Bin frowned as he watched the figure disappear into the darkness.

"Brother Bin, are we just going to let this woman go like that? Won't she complain to the Long family?" someone asked worriedly.

Hua Bin smiled coldly and said disdainfully, "We'll also see if she has the ability to persuade the Long family to stand up for a country girl like her."

"If the Long family member doesn't wake up, the Long family will definitely still need her."

“If the Long family’s member doesn’t wake up, then she’s even less useful. Whether she wakes up or not, she’s nothing to the Long family,” Hua Bin coldly narrowed his eyes. “So, there’s no need to worry that this wild girl has any ability to hurt people.”

Hua Bin only ordered someone to keep an eye on Sheng Qian, and did nothing else to Sheng Qian.

The next day, Sheng Qian remembered Sheng Guanhua and went to that noodle stall again, but she didn't run into them.

They must have gone back a long time ago.

Sheng Guanhua's health was already fine, so there was no need for him to go to the hospital and waste money.

Sheng Li and Luo Minjuan were worried and insisted on having Sheng Guanhua examined.

Sheng Qian could understand.

After breakfast, Sheng Qian went to find Zhang Shunlin.

What brings you here?

Zhang Shunlin opened the door and glanced behind her several times.

Sheng Qian said, "It's just me. Can you walk? If you can, come with me to the processing plant."

"A processing plant?" Zhang Shunlin was taken aback. "You found a place to make that thing on the blueprint?"

Let's go.

Sheng Qian didn't enter the rented room; she turned around and left.

Zhang Shunlin walked behind Sheng Qian with a slight limp.

“I’ll give you a ride,” Sheng Qian said, pulling out her bicycle and gesturing for him to sit on the back.

Zhang Shunlin silently suppressed the embarrassment welling up inside him, "I'll ride it."

There was something wrong with him having a girl give him a ride.

Sheng Qian patted the seat, "Don't be so coy like a woman, get on."

Zhang Shunlin's face flushed slightly. "I think I'll keep walking."

"Don't delay things," Sheng Qian frowned.

Zhang Shunlin said, somewhat speechless, "Can't you, a woman, be a little more mindful of your image?"

Sheng Qian followed his gaze and looked around, noticing that many strange looks were being cast at them.

Left with no other choice, Sheng Qian pushed her bicycle and said, "Let's not ride anymore, let's walk."

Zhang Shunlin breathed a sigh of relief; he was really afraid that Sheng Qian would suddenly force him to sit on her.

"Next time something like this happens, don't react so suddenly."

"What?"

Zhang Shunlin's voice was low, and Sheng Qian's attention was focused on her surroundings, so she didn't hear him clearly.

Suppressing his embarrassment, Zhang Shunlin raised his voice slightly and said, "Next time you act or speak, can you please think about the differences between men and women?"

Sheng Qian looked him up and down and said, "Although you are quite handsome, you are not my type."

Zhang Shunlin's lips twitched. "You're a married woman. You should keep your distance from other men in the future to avoid misunderstandings."

Sheng Qian glanced at him again, making Zhang Shunlin feel extremely uncomfortable.

"Understood," he replied. Even in later generations, let alone in this era, there would still be plenty of gossip.

There are quite a few people who have been hurt by rumors and cyberbullying.

Processing plant.

Sheng Qian led Zhang Shunlin inside and met Ju Baifeng.

Ju Baifeng was taken aback when he saw Zhang Shunlin.

Zhang Shunlin had obviously met Ju Baifeng before, and his expression froze for a moment.

Seeing their expressions, Sheng Qian said, "It seems you've already met before."

Zhang Shunlin felt somewhat embarrassed.

Ju Baifeng, being a seasoned veteran, showed no embarrassment or discomfort whatsoever, and warmly shook hands with Zhang Shunlin.

"I'm so sorry about last time, I didn't know those things you took were real..." Actually, she suspected that Zhang Shunlin had stolen the blueprints from somewhere, so she refused Zhang Shunlin at the time.

Since even such a big boss acted as if nothing had happened, Zhang Shunlin could only act as if nothing had happened either.

He could only think to himself, "No wonder he's a big boss; he can control his emotions so well."

Unlike him, he didn't have that kind of experience.

"Boss Ju, the main reason I brought him here this time is to say goodbye. I have some things to take care of at home, so I won't stay here for too long."

Sheng Qian brought Zhang Shunlin over so that he could stand in for her and negotiate with Ju Baifeng and the others.

"Me?" Zhang Shunlin pointed to himself, somewhat surprised.

Sheng Qian didn't say anything when she arrived.

"You know my family situation, so for now, you'll have to handle the negotiations with Boss Ju and the others here. If anything happens, you can call that number to find me anytime."

Zhang Shunlin knew that Sheng Qian was going back to see the unconscious person from the Long family.

In fact, in the few days since Sheng Qian came out, she has been very irresponsible towards her unconscious husband.

“Alright, I’ll stay here,” Zhang Shunlin nodded understandingly.

Sheng Qian then said to Ju Baifeng, "I'll be leaving tomorrow, so I'll leave things here to you."

Seeing that she had left someone there, Ju Baifeng didn't say anything more.

It seems that Sheng Qian still has some important things to do.

Sheng Qian didn't see Grandma Ju today, and she didn't ask about it.

Grandma Ju suddenly received a call from Chen Yunzhong, who mentioned some of the research she had been longing to do. She had already met with Chen Yunzhong in the city.

What they talked about afterwards remains unknown.

Sheng Qian met with Zhang Shunlin and Ju Baifeng, and then patrolled with them. When she returned with Zhang Shunlin that evening, he couldn't help but ask, "How did you manage to do that? And why didn't those people contact you again?"
