The girl had been abducted, and Carlos and the others hurriedly began searching. Arthur had found a rather remote cave in the back mountains, and in his anger, he had taken Guo Xiaoxiao to the desolate wilderness.
Guo Xiaoxiao is unconscious now; we'll talk properly when she wakes up.

"You have the nerve to say that? I told you to go out with Arthur, but you just sat there without saying a word."
Randy was in a bind.
"Stop arguing! Hurry up and find someone. Arthur took Xiaoxiao away for months and hasn't come back. What should we do?"
This reminded them that Arthur was capable of such a thing. Xiaoxiao was terrified of him; if Arthur took her out to scare her, she might agree to anything.
Mickelson: "Alright, let's hurry up and find someone."
Cang Jue: "How are we supposed to find him? There's a huge forest. He must have hidden him somewhere. We could have relied on Randy, but he's not working anymore."

Mickelson: "Are we just going to wait here? When is Carlos coming over with the novel?"
Cang Jue smiled and said, "He took the little snake and went straight to find Xiaoxiao. He doesn't have time for us. Hurry up and look for her; don't count on him."
Randy sniffed it carefully again.
"Follow me, there's a scent coming from where the tissue broke; look around there."
He led the others to the place with the strongest smell, a pile of dead wood. He lay down on it and sniffed for a while, then found a thin rope in the gaps between the dead wood.
"It's this one. I remember Xiaoxiao had a rope like this on her; she usually used it to tie her hair."
"It's probably here, hurry up and find it."
They searched high and low for a long time but couldn't find it, and the deeper they searched, the more the scent dissipated.
Carlos, with the little snake, easily located Guo Xiaoxiao's position. The two of them bumped into each other, meeting in the same spot.
"You still haven't found it?"
Thinking back to my childhood, I greeted the familiar Cang Jue and led them to a cave. Plants obscured the view inside, but I was certain Arthur and Guo Xiaoxiao were inside.
The plants outside were just blades of grass that were disturbing Randy's scent. Randy grabbed the grass and ripped it off, revealing the cave. The cave was empty; Arthur and Guo Xiaoxiao were sleeping together.
"Xiaoxiao, Xiaoxiao"
Carlos called out anxiously, but Guo Xiaoxiao remained silent. "Arthur, I heard footsteps outside a while ago, but I deliberately ignored them."
Because they went through so much trouble to find it, and it turned out so quickly.
"Stop making noise, Xiaoxiao is going to sleep."
Carlos, seeing that Guo Xiaoxiao wasn't moving, wanted to come in, but Arthur stopped him.
"She's not awake, don't touch her."
"We won't touch her, but we can at least stand at the door and shout, right?"

Arthur lowered his head and remained silent. He truly loved her, even more than himself, but this time she had acted too intensely. He didn't want to lose her, didn't want their hearts to drift further and further apart.

Arthur's softened attitude surprised them all.
Carlos thought Arthur would be tougher, then he noticed a faint red mark on Arthur's face—a clear imprint, probably from a female's slap.
He looked at Arthur: "Arthur, did you get hit?"
Arthur touched his cheek and said, "I got hit twice."
Arthur didn't want to talk about it anymore, and Carlos didn't ask again, just looking at him with a puzzled expression.
"Got beaten up?" Cang Jue wanted to laugh, but he held it in. "Hmph, serves you right for being so arrogant. The females are angry with you now, aren't they?"
Carlos suddenly asked him, "Arthur, did you promise Xiaoxiao anything else?"
The two may have reached some kind of agreement; Carlos believes that Arthur compromised only after being manipulated by Guo Xiaoxiao.
Arthur remained silent for a long time.

Everything depended on Xiaoxiao's reaction after she woke up. The others fell silent and tacitly remained outside the cave entrance, refraining from entering.
When Guo Xiaoxiao woke up, it was already evening. The beastmen who heard the noise at the cave entrance gathered around and asked her what was wrong.
"Xiaoxiao is awake!"
Are you hungry? Want some meat?
"How about we go back to Beast City first?"
She saw several people surrounding her and was quite touched; everyone was there when she woke up.
What are you all doing here?
I remember she and Arthur were in a cave, and she got angry using the Heart of the Lion and slapped him twice.
Arthur didn't speak, so Carlos explained for him.
"We were worried when you disappeared, so we came."
Guo Xiaoxiao forced a smile. It was just a lingering effect, nothing serious. She was a little unwell when she woke up, but otherwise there were no other abnormalities. She was used to the hangover feeling.
"Thank you all, I'm fine. I was just feeling unwell, but I'm okay now."
Carlos kissed her forehead to comfort her.
"Alright, let's go back first. You haven't eaten any meat yet."
Carlos made the suggestion, and the others agreed. Arthur stood silently to the side, looking sullen.
