He stood up, brushed the dust off his clothes, but it was too late to run. Arthur and the others surrounded him, looking menacing and determined to force him into submission; their faces didn't look too good.
The orc was not afraid. He stood up and calmly said...
"So what? You're already surrounded by our tribe, and you're all going to die here. Do you think I'm afraid?"
The orc's smile was somewhat ferocious.
"You?"
Arthur narrowed his eyes. He took a good look at the other man. He was plain-looking, with a nonchalant attitude. The star ring on his arm only had one star, and he didn't seem to have any great skills.
"Are wandering orcs this low-level now? Previously, the lowest level for a wandering orc was two-star rings, and you only have one."
The orc sneered.
"I'm not a stray beast! I'm an orc from the Crescent Moon tribe who trespassed into our territory and dared to try and capture people? Just wait to die!"
Arthur wasn't in a hurry to waste time with him. Even if they wanted to lure him away, Carlos wasn't someone to be trifled with.
"Why did you lure me here? Tell me."
The orc's expression was unnatural. Who lured him here? They clearly wanted to run away because he was too strong.
They didn't actually mean any harm. A group of people had suddenly barged into their territory, and they were just doing their routine check. They were overjoyed to find a large number of females and got a little closer.
As a result, Arthur ran after him and saw that the star ring on his arm was a retrograde ring. Who would dare to mess with him?
But the argument still lies with the orcs. They came from who-knows-where, wandering around randomly and then acting like they have a right? He hasn't gone back; his people will bring a large number of them to rescue him. He shouldn't be afraid.
"You want to disperse and crush us? What, are you scared? If you're scared, then leave quickly and don't invade the Crescent Moon Tribe's territory again, and I might let it go."
It was obvious to everyone that the orc was barely holding on; his legs were trembling.
Faced with Arthur's overwhelming pressure, no orc could stand upright. Even those standing next to Arthur felt the immense oppressive force, making it difficult to breathe.
They wouldn't send such weak orcs for a sneak attack, would they? There are at least ten thousand of them. Could they be here to gather intelligence and report back?
Arthur gave him an ultimatum: tell the truth or he would be killed. Arthur's face gradually became ferocious.
"I'll ask you one more time, why did you lure me here? If you don't tell the truth, you really will die."
The orc was genuinely frightened by his antics and began to tremble. Arthur grabbed the orc's arm and pulled him close with brute force.
"Will you tell me or not?"
The orcs Arthur brought took his hand and dragged him along.
"Just tell us you want to die, don't you? You think we're joking with you?"
"Judging by your age, you shouldn't be very old. It's such a pity. How many people are on your side? Are you after our food?"
"Could a tribe on the border of the Forgotten Continent be a good tribe? They're probably made up of wandering beasts. Let's just kill them all."
The orc was dragged along, struggling and roaring.
"Let me go! Don't touch me! Our clan leader won't let you get away with this! You're all dead if you offend me! The clan leader is my brother!"
"If you had known I was killed, you would have sought revenge."
Arthur did not answer, but expressed his attitude through his actions.
"Oh, no wonder you're so self-righteous. Don't blame me for being ruthless; I've been polite enough. In the past, you wouldn't have even had a chance to talk to me."
Arthur scoffed and kicked him.
"Hey~"
The orc was kicked over and lay in the mud groaning in pain, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth; he looked badly injured.
Arthur crouched down, grabbed the other man, pinned him down, and prepared to deliver the final blow.
Just then, a row of orcs jumped out from the tall tree. Arthur already knew they were coming, so he wasn't too surprised to see them.
I thought that if I killed him, those people with him would just stand by and do nothing.
They clearly outnumbered them, a dozen or so in total, but the orcs following Arthur weren't afraid. Who could compare to the Reverse Star Ring orcs? It was just a dozen or so, not hundreds.
…
"There's been no movement. Arthur still hasn't returned. Carlos, go check on him. I'm worried."
Carlos kept holding Guo Xiaoxiao and patting her back, trying to lull her to sleep, but Guo Xiaoxiao became even more awake. Who can sleep when they have something on their mind? He couldn't help but worry about Arthur's safety.
Upon hearing this, Carlos decided to go check it out; they were about to fall into a trap. This area was usually quiet with orcs, so they might be in trouble.
"I'll go!"
He handed Guo Xiaoxiao to Cang Jue, then walked over, and Cang Jue took over.
"Xiaoxiao, it's alright, don't worry. Carlos has gone there; he knows the Forgotten Continent and will bring Arthur back soon."
Let's hope so.
Because of her pregnancy, Guo Xiaoxiao's hormones were really unbalanced, making her constantly suspicious and easily alarmed by the slightest disturbance.
Worrying too much is just anxiety. They can't see Arthur, and Carlos has left. What if he dies out there? They're overthinking it.
Randy: "There's still some water left in the gourd, drink it."
Randy brought the large gourd to Guo Xiaoxiao's lips, and Guo Xiaoxiao didn't stand on ceremony, taking a sip. The cold water calmed her down through her esophagus.
…
When Carlos found Arthur, Arthur had already taken care of everything; the dozen or so men were all lying on the ground, showing no particular skill.
Carlos glanced at the crowd sprawled on the ground with disdain. They were all rather rugged-looking, with most bearing a single star ring on the back of their hands; very few had two.
Since the large-scale burning of the wandering orcs, are the newly recruited orcs so weak? They've even recruited one-star orcs.
