Chapter 389: Entering the Crescent Moon Tribe, Considering Stealing Their Food

"As the clan leader, I am obligated to lead you well, but since you are disappointing, I truly cannot continue to govern. You shall elect another clan leader."

When Alva announced his intention to quit, everyone in the tribe tried to dissuade him, even forgetting Arthur's talk of stealing their things.

Alva is capable; his abilities and intelligence are both quite average.

Upon discovering a parasite, they strongly urged everyone to move away from their current location and try their luck on the Forgotten Continent.

At the time, most of the apes didn't take it seriously, thinking he had gone too far, but they couldn't resist his threats and inducements.

Ultimately, it was a great migration, and as it turned out, he was right.

The outside world was in complete chaos, but they had settled down at the border and had enough to eat and drink, so they had nothing to worry about.

"Alva cannot abandon us. We are one people, and we are willing to obey your orders."

How could you just abandon us like that?

"Alva, don't abandon us!"

"..."

"Stop arguing, all of you!"

Alva's ears hurt from their noise, so he yelled.

"I'll handle everything."

Seeing this, Guo Xiaoxiao whispered in Carlos's ear

"There's no need to fight over their food. They seem like honest people and aren't intentionally following us."

"Their house is in the tree. Even if they don't give it to you, who's going to climb up the tree to fight? Only Cang Jue and his group can easily do so, but the forest is too dense, making it difficult to maneuver."

One of the orcs, who was bound hand and foot, became unhappy and said to Guo Xiaoxiao...

"You little female, you're being unreasonable! Just because you're pretty doesn't mean you can spout nonsense! We only investigated because you trespassed on our territory; we weren't following you."

Guo Xiaoxiao was completely bewildered by the yelling. Arthur had told her that they were the ones being followed, so how did it become trespassing?

Arthur cleared his throat twice.

"None of that matters. Enough with the nonsense, just give me a word: hand it over or not."

Alva: "No means no! Why should we give it to you? Everyone climb the trees, prepare for battle!"

"They really dare to challenge them," Guo Xiaoxiao muttered quietly.

"Climbing the tree won't help. We'll set it on fire, burn the forest down, and we'll lose our homes. Just shut up. I'm trying to persuade you."

Then Guo Xiaoxiao said to Arthur and the others

"Open robbery is unacceptable. We'll stay here tonight. With the tribe here, at least we'll be safe. We'll head to the caves tomorrow. I've looked around; there are plenty of wild animals to feed us."

It's a bit unreasonable to rob others when food is plentiful. Guo Xiaoxiao has tried her best to think like an orc, but since she has power, it's best not to act recklessly.

When Alva heard that Guo Xiaoxiao was going to set fire to the forest, he was stunned. "This is outrageous!" he thought, and spoke without conviction.

"You, you dare... I... I..."
