Chapter 32 Red Squirrel Grey Squirrel
The kitten looked tearfully into the tiger's eyes.
The tree was very thick, and at least the lower two-thirds could bear Gu Zheng's weight. He assessed it and quickly climbed up the tree.
In just a few steps, he arrived in front of He Jing. Gao Songyang instantly became obedient and curled up in the kitten's hands, pretending to be dead.
"Gao Songyang."
"Huh?" Cathead asked in confusion.
"Captain...." The little squirrel didn't even dare to raise his head.
"So your name is Gao Songyang. Come on, it quite suits you." He Jing felt embarrassed to pinch her anymore and let go and put it aside.
Gao Songyang stood there obediently.
"Are we going down?" Gu Zheng looked at He Jing.
"Uh-huh!"
He Jing is now quite big and is not suitable to be carried around.
Gu Zheng lay on his back, "Come up."
Gao Songyang observed secretly, grabbing his hands excitedly, his eyes full of gossip.
The kitten climbed up tremblingly, holding on tightly.
"If you're afraid, close your eyes."
He Jing nodded and buried his face in the tiger's back.
In an instant, the wind whistled past my ears.
Landed.
"Okay, afraid of heights?"
"A little bit..." He Jing slid off the tiger's back like a weak shrimp.
"Gao Songyang."
"Here!" The red squirrel ran over and immediately stopped to salute.
Gu Zheng looked at him silently. Gao Songyang was happy. "I'm sorry, little friend. I shouldn't have led you to climb so high."
As he said this, he took out a piece of candy from somewhere and handed it to her.
"There's nothing here. I'll give you something fun after we get out. How about that? Don't be angry anymore."
He Jing felt a little embarrassed by the sudden and earnest apology. "I'm not angry. I was just climbing up and didn't pay attention."
"Hey, then you're not angry anymore." He stuffed the candy into the kitten's hand and said, "You can't bring up the past now that you've taken my candy!"
He Jing pinched it and took a look at it. It tasted like something he had never tasted before.
Seeing the kitten regained its spirits, Gu Zheng asked, "Do you want to stay here tonight, or go on a walk?"
"Are we almost at the Qingmai River ahead?"
"Well, we can cross the river tonight at low tide."
"Does the river also recede?"
"This river is connected to the sea, and it recedes less than the sea."
He Jing nodded and smashed the lychee-flavored candy: "Shall we go over there now?"
Gu Zheng nodded and turned his gaze to the little squirrel that had been silent on the side.
"And you?"
"I'll go with you!" Gao Songyang said without hesitation, "I want to go and take a look at the pine forest across the way."
"Okay, okay!" He Jing was a little happy. This little squirrel could be rubbed at will! As he said that, he pounced on it!
Gao Songyang's hair stood on end! He always felt that the captain's eyes were like a knife.
What to do?! Hide or not?
Suddenly, the cat was so bold and quick that it pulled the tiger's tail towards it. The cat caught the squirrel firmly and it ran away.
He Jing blinked his big eyes and looked at the owner of the tail, "I..."
"It's okay, let's go, it's getting dark."
He Jing quickly let go of his hand, got up and walked forward.
"Let's go!"
Gu Zheng looked at Tail silently. It seemed that there was still warmth from the place where he was hugged.
She doesn't seem to like my tail.
Why doesn't she...rua?
The tip of his tail twitched irritably.
"By the way, what's the name of Gao Songyang's little squirrel?" He Jing looked around as he walked, wondering where he had gone.
"Yes, a member of the first unit."
"Wow! How old is he then?"
"...?" Tiger gritted his teeth, "22 years old."
"Oh! He's about my age then... Is he that young enough to be under your control?"
"Special talents, information gathering."
He Jing was surprised. He didn't expect that the seemingly lively and unreliable little squirrel was so powerful.
"Where did he go? Shouldn't we wait for him?"
"I'll catch up on my own."
He Jing felt that Gu Zheng seemed a little depressed today, which was strange.
Is the matter not resolved yet?
Thinking about it, he asked directly. Gu Zheng didn't expect his emotions to be so obvious. He pursed his lips and said, "No."
He Jing looked at the person in front of him and it seemed that he was fine again. It was strange. Was this feeling wrong?
Gao Songyang was shivering in the corner, feeling the captain's unpleasant aura piercing him.
The little squirrel ran around like a ball of fire, full of energy, and every pine needle it brought seemed to come alive and full of vitality.
He Jing's paws were itching as he watched, but he endured it out of consideration for the tiger beside him.
"Go ahead." Gu Zheng said, "He has a childish temper and isn't as steady as his brother. I'm afraid he might hurt you."
"Captain!" Gao Songyang popped up from nowhere. "I know what's going on! Besides, my brother isn't steady at all, he's just a little old-fashioned!"
The little squirrel continued to chatter: "And he left me behind as soon as I got here, saying he wanted to train me and make me self-reliant!"
Gu Zheng thought of Gao Songyang's ambiguous gaze after he appeared, and Gao Wenbo should not be as rational as he appeared.
"Go play." Gu Zheng patted the kitten's head lightly. He Jing happily tilted his head and rubbed it in his hand twice.
When the two children got together, the whole forest became lively, with meows and squeaking echoing in the woods, and laughter coming from time to time.
Sure enough, young people are so energetic when they are together.
There was a sound of landing behind him on the right, and a gray squirrel twice the size of the one just now walked up and said in a steady voice, "Captain."
"Um."
"My brother was inconsiderate and scared my sister-in-law."
“…”
Gu Zheng stopped and turned to look at the gray squirrel with a serious expression.
"?" Gao Wenbo looked questioningly.
"..." Gu Zheng retracted his gaze, "She is still young."
"really."
"..." Gu Zheng felt heartbroken when he saw the serious-looking man.
The two of them didn't say anything else and walked away in silence.
There was a quarrel coming from the front, and Gao Songyang and He Jing caught a bird.
Gao Songyang exaggeratedly imitated the bird's movements and made strange noises.
The bird pretending to be dead on the ground turned over angrily and chased after him to peck at him!
The squirrel jumped back and forth between the branches like a juggler, making the little bird dizzy and angry.
He Jing was also very happy, as if he was watching a show.
She ran to Gu Zheng, laughing so hard she couldn't breathe, "Look! Gao Songyang quickly...Huh?"
He Jing felt as if something flashed by, and looked at the motionless tree beside him in confusion.
He Jing leaned close to Gu Zheng's ear and motioned him to lower his head: "Did something just float by?"
Gu Zheng also cooperated and moved close to the kitten's ear. The kitten's ears were pink and tender, and its clever fur trembled.
Tiger was stunned for a moment, and before He Jing could ask, he said, "His brother."
He Jing's eyes lit up, indicating that he knew!
Gao Songyang called He Jing from a distance, and the two ran to chase butterflies again.
When we arrived at the river, it was already dark. The orange sunset in the distance, the mountains on the other side of the river, and a few stars were reflected in the river.
He Jing suddenly remembered that he hadn’t found dinner yet! He was just thinking about having fun!
what to do?
She turned around to look for Gu Zheng and saw a tiger dragging a sheep out of the dark woods.
