Chapter 59: Reappearance of the Spirit
The curtains opened automatically and the sun came in.
The girl's face was covered with a layer of gentle light, and her distinct eyelashes trembled slightly.
When He Jing opened his eyes, he met two pairs of big water-blue eyes.
"!!!" She widened her eyes and looked at Baihu, asking tentatively: "Gu Zheng?"
Baihu tilted his head, said nothing, and took the initiative to come forward and rub He Jing's head.
“???” He Jing was stunned and didn’t move, trying to understand the scene in front of him with his confused head.
"Are you...Gu Zheng's spirit?"
The white tiger nodded and swung its tail happily.
"Wow~ So you are my spirit body?"
He Jing turned his head, and the forest cat also came over and rubbed against him.
He Jing opened his arms and held the two furry creatures in his arms, then he opened his hands and rubbed them hard!
Woohoo~ It's so furry and comfortable~o(*////▽////*)q
He Jing dragged the two furry creatures onto the bed, stroking the white tiger's belly with his left hand and rubbing the forest cat's neck with his right hand.
The white tiger wrapped its tail around He Jing's wrist and rubbed it from time to time.
The three cute little ones played on the bed for a while, all making comfortable humming sounds.
There was a knock on the door, and Gu Zheng's voice came: "Awake?"
"Yeah! I'm coming~" He Jing quickly got up and opened the door for Gu Zheng.
Gu Zheng glanced over and met Baihu's eyes, which were filled with guilt and pride.
"Bai Sen is bothering you."
"His name is Bai Sen. Don't bother me. He's very well behaved and cute~"
He Jing asked Gu Zheng to come in and ran to the bathroom to wash up.
Gu Zheng sat down on the sofa, and Baihu stood guard at the bathroom door, pretending not to see him.
The forest cat came over and rubbed against his legs.
Gu Zheng's hand fell on its ear and pinched it lightly, and then a big white tail swayed and wrapped around his wrist.
Then the forest cat jumped and landed on Gu Zheng's legs, grabbing his shirt and rubbing his neck with its head.
Gu Zheng did not stop it and let it do what it wanted.
He Jing opened the door and his heart jumped into his throat when he saw this scene!
"Cat!" He exclaimed, rushed over and picked up the kitten.
"Um... sorry, I didn't know it was so clingy!"
"It's okay, what's the name?"
He Jing held her in his arms and rubbed her, "Well, Qiuqiu, autumn is a new beginning."
Gu Zheng smiled and raised his hand to nod the little cat's head: "Qiuqiu."
"Meow~" the kitten called out in a low voice, looking very satisfied.
Bai Sen came over, rubbed He Jing's legs, and meowed as well.
"Bai Sen?"
"Meow~"
He Jing raised the corner of his mouth, smiled, and reached out to rub the tiger's head.
After playing for a while, the two of them took the cat and the tiger downstairs to have breakfast.
Xu Bo came forward, his mechanical eyes transformed into glowing star eyes, "Is this the young lady's spirit body? Such a cute cat~ Can Xu Bo touch it?!"ω
"Of course, its name is Qiuqiu."
"Oh~ What a nice name~ Qiuqiu~" Uncle Xu said as he carefully stretched out his mechanical arm and rubbed the kitten's head.
The kitten looked at the robot in front of it, met his starry eyes, and raised its paw to touch it.
Uncle Xu quickly bent down to cooperate, and was as happy as if he had become a grandfather.
He Jing followed Gu Zheng to the dining table and asked, "Do they need to eat?"
"Need not."
He Jing nodded and took the bread handed to him by Gu Zheng.
Qiuqiu followed Xu Bo to play in the living room, and Baisen followed behind Qiuqiu.
He Jing looked at it and said with emotion: "Bai Sen really likes Qiu Qiu."
Gu Zheng paused with his chopsticks and said calmly, "Well, Qiuqiu is cuter."
He Jing chuckled foolishly.
It was not yet ten o'clock when we finished breakfast. The Sunshine Greenhouse was just the right size for two people to stand in. If we added a cat and a tiger, it would be very crowded.
So He Jing asked Xu Bo to take out the table and went to the garden in the yard.
Qiuqiu rushed over from a distance and ran around excitedly among the flowers.
Bai Sen was too big and was afraid of damaging the flowers and plants, so he was wagging his tail anxiously outside the fence.
Qiuqiu found that it didn't follow, so it played in the flowers for a while and then went to lie on the swing.
The white tiger followed happily, using its two front legs to help the kitten push the swing.
He Jing happily watched them interacting and found it quite entertaining.
Gu Zheng picked up an orange and handed it to her. He Jing took it and broke off half of it. "It's quite sweet."
He Jing finished eating the orange, wiped his hands, took out his tablet and started watching the class.
Today is the last class. There is no new text in this class. It talks about some interstellar common sense.
Gu Zheng handed over an apple. He Jing tilted his head and caught it with his mouth, his eyes fixed on the screen with great interest.
“Federal law requires guardians and temporary guardians to provide support to their wards and not mistreat them.
Federal law prohibits the transformation of beast forms and the summoning of spirits in public. (The Federal Army follows military law.)
…
Federal law prohibits forced marriage against the will of legal citizens..."
The simple and easy-to-understand regulations allowed Hejing to obtain some information directly.
Next is the spirit body module:
"Spiritual power is determined by genes and bloodline. At the age of 16, spiritual power begins to awaken and the spiritual sea is built. Spiritual power is divided into 3S, 2S, S, A, B, C, and D levels...
After the transformation is complete, the spiritual sea is fixed and takes shape. In daily life and combat, there are three forms: humanoid, beastoid, and beastoid spirit. According to research by the Central Research Institute, the beastoid spirit will establish a spiritual connection with the main body, allowing communication within the brain, and the beastoid spirit's five senses can transmit back to the main body to a certain extent..."
He Jing was completely bewildered, so when he was washing up in the morning, his ears suddenly felt itchy because... the general was petting a cat! (⊙o⊙)
Then...wouldn't it be right if she rubbed Baihu's belly in the morning? ! !
He Jing's face flushed. Gu Zheng handed him a glass of water and asked softly, "What's wrong? Is it too sunny? Ask Uncle Xu to put up the umbrella."
"No..." He Jing stammered.
Gu Zheng glanced at the screen and understood. He said calmly: "Don't think too much. The higher the level of mental power, the stronger the independence of the mental body will be."
"You and I are both level 3s. Our spiritual bodies are inherently independent, but we are different from them."
He Jing's mind was confused as he followed his thoughts, "Huh?"
"They are 3s because they can only reach 3s, and you and I are 3s because the highest rating of the Federation is only 3s."
He Jing was stunned. Is it so powerful? !
"So our spiritual experiences are more independent." Gu Zheng recalled the tingling sensation on his stomach that morning. His expression showed no change. He said calmly, "We can think of them as independent individuals."
He Jing nodded and touched his ear unconsciously. It seemed so. He just felt a little itchy in the morning, and there was no obvious sensation afterwards.
Uncle Xu brought over a parasol and set it up in no time. "It's all my fault for not thinking carefully. The young lady's face is getting red from the sun."
He Jing's temperature, which had just dropped, rose back up again, and even his ears were blindingly red.
Uncle Xu was about to speak, but was stopped by Gu Zheng with a look.
Qiuqiu, who was not far away, seemed to sense something and looked over with red ears.
Meow?
