Chapter 34: I Don't Understand What People Say (2/2)

"Just cut some mugwort and fumigate it." Kang Mingyuan glanced at Chu Maoshen and Liu Ruoling who were rushing over here, and answered casually, thinking that she was really sensitive.

"You're right. Go up the mountain and cut some mugwort every day. Otherwise, I'll be bitten by mosquitoes." Qiao Mo said exaggeratedly. In fact, she hung a mosquito repellent sachet at the head of the bed, and there was not even a mosquito in the room.

"If you don't need to go up, we can go with you and chop some firewood." Kang Mingyuan looked at the sky. It should rain tomorrow. I hope the rain won't be too heavy.

"Okay, it's getting late, let's go back." Qiao Mo didn't want to talk to Chu Maoshen and the others, so he took another route back.

"Do you hate them?" Kang Mingyuan looked at Chu Maoshen and the others and asked.

"I wouldn't say I hate them, I just find them annoying and don't want to bother with them." Qiao Mo told the truth.

"It's annoying. It seems like he doesn't understand what people say and just keeps talking to himself." Kang Mingyuan chuckled and nodded.

"It seems like I have committed a huge crime by not agreeing to team up with them. Humph, who are they? Why should others serve them?" Qiao Mo snorted coldly.

"You're right. I don't know where their sense of superiority comes from." Kang Mingyuan echoed.

"They think they are great just because they have a little money at home. I really admire them."

"Reality will teach them how to be human beings. Shao Lidong has rejected them again. They should give up."

"We are not blind. Who would be willing to carry two bags?" Qiao Mo said with a sneer.

"They don't know how to behave and don't have the physical strength. They will suffer in the future." Kang Mingyuan didn't think highly of them at all.

After returning to the educated youth site, Qiao Mo fetched water and went to the bathroom behind the toilet to take a shower. Shao Lidong and his team were quite particular. They separated the toilet into men's and women's rooms, and also built two small rooms in the back as bathrooms. This made it much more convenient to go to the toilet or take a shower.

With two strong laborers, Kang Mingyuan and Han Yimo, there was no need to save water and firewood. She would boil a large pot of water after dinner every day. In addition to leaving some for Kang Mingyuan and the others, she could also carry two buckets of water for washing her hair and taking a bath.

After taking a shower, her whole body felt refreshed. Before it got completely dark, she hurried to the river to wash clothes. Summer clothes were thin and soft, with nothing but sweat stains. She just had to rub them with soap a few times and then wash them clean.

She came back and hung the clothes on the bamboo pole in front of the door. There were more mosquitoes after the rain, and she didn't dare to stay outside to enjoy the cool air, so she went back to the house to read. Two hours later, she blew out the lights and sat on the bed to practice "The Secret of Herbs and Trees".

After midnight, she stopped practicing and entered the wooden bracelet space. She first looked at the black soil behind the bungalow and found that the sweet potato vines she had planted had survived, and the wheat, corn, and pumpkin had all sprouted. Although only their heads had emerged, the dots of green gave her infinite hope.

Delighted, she planted all the carrot and spinach seeds she had. She returned to the cabin and saw in the kitchen that the potatoes had sprouted. She took them out, cut them open, smeared the wounds with wood ash, and planted them in the ground. At this point, she had planted all the seeds in her hand and all she had to do was wait for the harvest.

The land was planted and she didn't feel like reading. It was still early and she was not sleepy at all. She didn't want to lie down in bed and flip over pancakes, so she went to the paddy field. She went behind the bungalow and looked at the land she was going to use as the paddy field. She took out a hoe and dug the soil to build a ridge. The paddy field must be lower than other places. Thinking that she would have to dig out a lot of soil, she returned to the bungalow and found dozens of large flower pots inside and filled the pots with the dug soil.
