Chapter 201 The Loom

There's a follow-up to the snail rice noodle incident.

The next day, a neighbor of Shen Miao's passed by the door and asked Shen Miao curiously, "Did you smell something last night? It smelled like a dead pig rotting somewhere."

Shen Miao was extremely embarrassed and could only laugh and say, "Well, we didn't smell anything."

"Tsk, I went out and searched for ages, but I found nothing. Isn't that strange?" The bird-beastman looked frustrated.

Shen Miao wanted to cover her face, "It is quite strange."

After exchanging a few pleasantries, she quickly made an excuse to leave, but she thought to herself that she could never make snail rice noodles again, otherwise people would misunderstand and think that some animal had died somewhere.

...

"Shen Miao, you've arrived."

Shen Miao walked into a large wooden house. The house was newly built and contained several looms that were very novel to this world.

The loom was also invented by Shenmiao.

The reason was that she discovered a large field of hemp, but the people there did not know how to make clothes from hemp, and they did not even know about weaving.

Shen Miao then made up her mind, got the loom out, and took the time to select some orcs from the tribe and teach them how to weave every day.

They have already woven some cloth, which looks very crude, but it is a pleasant surprise for the orcs.

So when they saw Shen Miao coming, they were all very enthusiastic.

All of this was brought to them by Shen Miao, and they were extremely grateful.

"You're here so early. Hmm, let me see, there are a few more new sisters-in-law here today." Shen Miao glanced around and said with a smile.

The new female beast said somewhat shyly, "Chen Miao, I... I also want to learn how to weave. Can you teach me?"

"Of course, but there are not enough looms to go around, so the newcomers will have to learn from the veteran beastmen for now."

"It's alright, it's alright, we'll just take a look first."

Shen Miao was very satisfied to see that the newcomers were very honest. She inspected a piece of cloth woven by an orc. Although it looked a bit rough, it was already quite good.

With a little more practice, I should be able to make clothes directly from cloth.

"Fantastic!" Shen Miao praised without reservation.

Although she has a wealth of theoretical knowledge, in practice she may not be as good as these beastmen.

Therefore, Shen Miao greatly admired these orcs who could learn so easily.

She glanced at the already crowded wooden hut and said to the beastmen, "From now on, the number of people is fixed. We don't need anyone here for the time being. Please don't introduce any more people, otherwise there won't be enough room to move around inside."

“Okay.” All the beastmen agreed.

Shen Miao nodded, gave some instructions to the orcs, and then prepared to leave.

This weaving workshop hasn't been built for very long. At first, Shen Miao devoted herself entirely to it, but later she also had her own things to do, so she would take some time each day to come and check on it.

Just as she was about to leave the workshop, she saw Shuanghua charging towards her menacingly.

Since they parted ways on the dueling platform, Shen Miao hadn't seen Shuang Hua for a long time. However, Shuang Hua was not honest, and she often heard Shuang Hua talking badly about her among some female beasts.

The claims that she was the one who relentlessly pursued Qingchen, tormenting a perfectly good beastman into that state, and that she was very mean to the baby, are all old grievances brought up from the past.

Some orcs in the tribe echoed her, but most ignored her. Especially after the weaving workshop was built, everyone knew that Shen Miao was capable, and no one dared to speak ill of her anymore.

Fearing that she might offend Shen Miao and not be able to wear comfortable clothes.

This time, when the tribe was selecting orcs for weaving training, Frostflower was not chosen. This was not because Shenmiao did it on purpose, but because Frostflower simply did not come when the selection was being conducted.

Shen Miao couldn't very well go to her house and ask her to teach her how to weave; that was absolutely impossible.

Just then, Shuanghua rushed over angrily. Shenmiao tried to pretend she didn't see her and tried to avoid her, but Shuanghua pushed her aside and rushed straight into the workshop.

Shen Miao sensed something was wrong and tried to tell someone to close the door, but it was too late.

As soon as Frostflower entered, she kicked over a loom. The beastmen were heartbroken when they saw it. This was a valuable tool for weaving cloth. Destroying one meant one less loom. How could Frostflower be so bold!

Some orcs went to help up the loom, while others tried to stop Frostflower. Frostflower, with a strength she didn't know she possessed, pushed them all away, one in each hand.

"Don't stop me, I'm going to destroy everything here today!"

The orcs shouted, "Are you crazy? What does this have to do with you? What right do you have to destroy it?"

“I’m going to destroy them; they’re an eyesore to me.”

Frostflower grabbed another piece of cloth and tore it to shreds in no time, much to the heartbreak of the orc who had woven it. Holding the shredded cloth, he glared angrily at Frostflower, shouting, "Give me back my cloth!"

Shen Miao shouted, "Quickly hold her down, don't let her destroy anything inside."

Several orcs quickly subdued Frostflower.

Even though Shuanghua couldn't move her hands and feet, she kept cursing, blaming Shenmiao for not teaching her how to weave and for excluding her. She said that if she couldn't learn, she would make sure no one could learn.

These words enraged the orcs.

An older female animal retorted, "Whether someone is willing to teach you or not is their own business. If they want to teach, they can; if they don't want to, they don't. What obligation does she have to teach you?"

"Then you can forget about learning. I'll come and cause trouble every day from now on, and none of you will be able to weave cloth," Shuanghua said arrogantly.

The beastmen suppressed their anger and wanted to beat her up, but Frostflower said, "If you dare to hit me, I will tell the chieftain that you are bullying people, that you are all Shenmiao's lackeys, and that you are ganging up on me."

He had barely finished speaking when he received a slap across the face.

Shuanghua stared blankly at Chen Miao in disbelief, then went berserk, "You hit me, you hit me again, you bitch, what right do you have to hit me?"

"You made a scene in my workshop, you destroyed the loom, you ruined everyone's hard work, what, isn't that enough?" Shen Miao said coldly.

Frostflower was still somewhat intimidated by her and couldn't speak for a moment.

The orcs clapped and cheered.

"He deserves a beating. I've never seen such an annoying person," an orc muttered.

Frost Flower struggled frantically, "Let me go! Don't think I don't know you're deliberately bullying me. Even if I die today, I will seek justice!"

"Let her go!" Shen Miao shouted. "Come on, you come to seek justice, I'm right here."

The orcs released Frostflower, and the old female beast warned her directly, "You'd better stop causing trouble. The tribe values these looms highly. If you destroy them, you'll become a sinner of the tribe and be kicked out."

Frostflower was startled; her eyes reddened, and tears streamed down her face.
