Chapter 39 Rejected for Keeping Snakes

Inside the house, the four children burst into laughter upon hearing the scream.

"Still laughing? Look at you all, you're all filthy like mud monkeys. Anyone who knew you would have gone fishing, but anyone who didn't would think you'd been rolling around in the mud." Shen Miao said sternly, starting to settle accounts.

The children weren't so afraid of her anymore. They suppressed their laughter slightly and said, "Mommy, give us a bath."

It smells so good after a shower, it feels so comfortable.

"You're all wonderful. Wash yourselves, set out the wooden basins, and take off your animal skins. I'll pour you water." After giving the instructions, Shen Miao came out carrying a pot of water.

This basin is very large, big enough for two babies to fit in at the same time. Shen Miao took it from the supermarket. Since it was made of wood, she made up a story that she found it on the mountain. The babies didn't suspect anything. However, after getting the basin, they really enjoyed taking baths.

Shen Miao let them play by themselves. Anyway, the temperature was quite high, and the little ones wouldn't catch a cold even if they took off all their clothes.

The children's cheerful laughter reached Qingchen's ears clearly. He looked towards the door, and a faint smile unconsciously appeared on his lips.

Shen Miao, who was in the kitchen, also raised the corners of her mouth. She was processing the fish that the children had brought back. After all, it was the result of the children's hard work, so she couldn't take it lightly.

But the fish was too small; it didn't make much of a meal whether boiled or fried.

In the end, Shen Miao decided to deep-fry them and make dried fish for the kids to eat as snacks.

As it turns out, the dried fish was very popular. Not only did the kids love it, but even Qingchen liked it. Shen Miao hadn't expected that this casually fried snack would become such a hit at home.
