Chapter 491 Unexpected Disaster 9

Downstairs, Gu Jin was in the car, and the butler was standing outside.

The butler opened the car door as soon as he saw Ahri get out.

Ah Li originally intended to drive herself, but seeing the butler's actions, she didn't hesitate any longer and got into the car.

Gu Jin nodded to Ah Li and then looked out the car window.

The butler got into the car, and it drove away.

This time, the divorce certificate was obtained smoothly. I went directly to the office, signed the divorce agreement, and was able to receive the divorce certificate.

Ali put the divorce certificate into her bag, and Gu Jin was pushed out by the housekeeper.

When getting into the car, Gu Jin suddenly stood up, sat down in the car, and sat next to Ali.

Ahri raised an eyebrow and stopped pretending to be lame.

Gu Jin sat in the back and slowly looked at Ali. He found that Ali was not surprised at all, as if it was none of her business whether he was lame or not.

"Ah Li".

Gu Jin spoke up, and even held Ah Li's hand.

Ah Li looked at the two clasped hands, then at Gu Jin.

Gu Jin placed Ah Li's hand on his face and said, "I'm sorry for lying to you before. I thought that if I approached you under a different identity, I might see a different you."

Ah Li touched the uneven spots on Gu Jin's face and heard him continue, "I'm sorry, I am Gu Jin, and also Gu Huai. Yueyue doesn't have an older uncle, only a younger uncle."

A mask of unknown material was slowly peeled off from Ali's fingertips, and Gu Jin looked at Ali very seriously.

Her gaze was like a deep, tranquil lake, devoid of turbulent waves, reflecting only his silhouette and his slightly sorrowful expression.

Because she never took it to heart, she could remain calm no matter how he acted in front of her.

Ah Li removed the mask from Gu Jin's face and examined it carefully in her hand.

"Very real."

"Um."

Gu Jin's voice was somewhat muffled.

Actually, at first, when Yueyue called him "little uncle" and her "little aunt," he didn't notice anything amiss. He could tell at a glance that this person didn't really intend to hide their identity.

Ah Li sighed and slowly folded up the mask. It was soft and thin. She said, "I'm not angry. I thought you would act with me for the rest of your life. I was even thinking that when I got back, I would take the divorce certificate to you and tell you that I was divorced and that I could date you now."

Gu Jin could hardly believe that Ah Li had said those words. Just as he was about to speak, Ah Li raised her hand, the tip of her index finger landing on his lips. She was very close to him, close enough that their breaths mingled, and an unspoken subtle atmosphere seemed to fill the air.

Seeing this, the butler pressed a button, and a panel slowly rose up from the back seat.

Ali's hand slowly slid down and placed on Gu Jin's chest. She said, "The previous marriage certificate wasn't good-looking, and it wasn't what you liked. We'll take a nicer one next time."

"Um."

Gu Jin nodded emphatically, and then slightly raised his hand to pull Ah Li into his arms. Gu Jin asked Ah Li, "When did you recognize me?"

Ali's fingertips seemed to reach towards the hem of Gu Jin's clothes. She said, "I recognized you as soon as you appeared, Mr. Gu. I saw your photo before you hired me."

"Then why don't you expose me?"

"I see you're having a lot of fun with your role-playing, and I don't want to spoil your enjoyment."

Ah Li's hand finally reached into Gu Jin's waist as she wished. Ah Li even raised her head and silently said, "Let me touch it."

Gu Jin lowered his head and kissed Ah Li. Now that Ah Li had already penetrated him, he couldn't be too passive.

Gu Jin's affection for Ali developed over time; he liked her gentleness and the feeling of home she gave him.

Every day when he returned home, both Yueyue and she would look at him immediately. Yueyue, in particular, would cheer and shout, "Uncle, you're back!"

She would quietly set out the bowls and chopsticks, and then say to him, "Dinner's ready."

This feeling was so wonderful that it gave them the illusion that he was needed by them, that he was their family.

When the two of them stood together in front of Yueyue, Gu Jin was holding hands with Ali.

Yueyue was unaware that Gu Jin had already confronted Ah Li. She asked softly, "Auntie, are you and Uncle together now?"

Ahri said, "Well, I've divorced your eldest uncle and now I've decided to be with your youngest uncle. He also said he'll deliver food to support me."

"That's great!"

Yueyue shouted happily. She had been worried that Ali would leave her after divorcing Gu Jin, but now Ali was still with Gu Jin, who was still her aunt.

Gu Jin bent down and picked up Yueyue. He glanced at Ali, but didn't explain to Yueyue. Instead, he said, "Yueyue, aren't you happy now?"

"Yes, I'm happy!"

Yueyue hugged Gu Jin's neck and noticed that Ali had gone to the bathroom. She whispered to Gu Jin, "Uncle, when are you going to tell Aunt the truth?"

Gu Jin looked thoughtful and said, "I'm not going to tell the truth anymore. I want to lie to her for the rest of my life."

Yueyue, acting like a little adult, tugged at Gu Jin's ear and said unhappily, "Uncle, what you're doing is wrong. It's so unfair to Auntie."

"Then who will Yueyue help?"

Ignoring the ear that was being pulled, Gu Jin looked at Yueyue intently.

"Help my aunt!"

Just then, Ali came out of the bathroom, patted Yueyue's head, and said, "Uncle was just joking with you."

Yueyue stopped pulling Gu Jin's ear; she angrily wanted to get down and wouldn't let Gu Jin hug her anymore.

Gu Jin put Yueyue down on the ground, watched Yueyue hold Ah Li's hand, and then remained silent.

Ah Li looked at Gu Jin and said, "Would you like to go and see the paintings Yueyue has drawn?"

Yueyue didn't say it, but she expressed it through her drawings.

In the painting, her uncle has a long nose.

Now, Yueyue's paintings are laid out one by one. Ali points to the little uncle in the painting and says, "Doesn't it look like you when you lied before?"

The little figures in the painting are barely recognizable unless you are told.

Gu Jin sat down next to Ali and flipped through the drawings Yueyue had made earlier.

Yueyue leaned against Ali and asked happily, "Did Auntie understand it from the beginning?"

Ah Li smiled. How could she not know? Yueyue was still young and didn't know how to hide her emotions. At that time, she seemed hesitant to speak, as if she wanted to say something but didn't. In the end, she turned around and went to draw. After she finished drawing, she showed it to Ah Li. In her expectant eyes, she hoped that Ah Li would notice and ask her.

Ah Li didn't ask, because Yueyue and Gu Jincai were family, the closest of relatives. If she asked, Yueyue would tell, but Yueyue would also feel sorry for her uncle.

Therefore, Ah Li pretended not to know or understand, and never mentioned Gu Jin or Gu Huai to Yue Yue, and also kept the proper distance from Gu Jin.

Some children are too sensible, which makes them very sensitive; they can think of many things.

In Ali's world, children should be carefree, eating and sleeping, doing whatever they like.

Now, things are out in the open.

Yueyue ate an extra bowl of rice that night, and after finishing, she eagerly asked Ali to go for a walk with her.
