Chapter 601 The Head Maid and the Frail Young Master (9)

"Big brother, the clothes."

Wang Zhilu draped a coat over Wang Zhixian and tried to help him over.

But Wang Zhixian was fine; he didn't need any help at all. After getting off the bed, he walked to Ali's side in a few steps and put his hand on Ali's shoulder. He looked at Mr. Xiao with some unease.

Mr. Xiao raised an eyebrow; he didn't seem weak at all during those few steps.

In the past, when he fell ill, he would have to lie in bed for several days.

Mr. Xiao withdrew his hand from Ah Li's wrist and asked, "What did you two do last night?"

Wang Zhixian's expression was somewhat unpleasant, not because of her illness, but because she found it difficult to talk about. "Do I have to tell the truth about all of this?"

Mr. Xiao said with a serious expression, "Yes, you must tell the truth."

Ah Li stood up and helped Wang Zhixian sit down, and Wang Zhilu also sat down beside her.

Wang Zhixian held Ah Li's hand and slowly said that he drank ginseng tea last night and then got together with Ah Li.

After Wang Zhixian finished speaking, the room became very quiet.

Ah Li also noticed Xinghua standing outside the door with a cup of tea in her hand, looking in her direction as if silently asking if she could bring it in.

Ahri nodded slightly.

Xinghua and Chunhua then came in to serve tea and pastries, and then left again.

After taking a sip of his tea, Mr. Xiao asked, "Is that all?"

Wang Zhixian gritted her teeth and said very quickly, "I got dizzy afterwards."

"Oh, what happens after you faint?"

When Mr. Xiao first saw Wang Zhixian looking somewhat embarrassed, he asked her with a smile in his eyes.

"I'm so confused, do you think I'd ever find out?"

Wang Zhixian was furious.

Wang Zhilu didn't find it funny. He slowly looked at Ali. If this person had hurt his elder brother, he couldn't let him live.

Wang Zhixian immediately glared at Wang Zhilu, his older brother. He knew what Wang Zhilu was up to and gave him a warning look. He dared to do that!

Wang Zhilu withdrew his gaze, his eyes becoming kind and approachable. He even gave Wang Zhixian a harmless smile. See, he looks like a good person; fighting and killing are not good.

Ah Li responded softly, "Even after the young master fainted, he was still quite energetic."

I said, "Where is the spirit?"

Wang Zhixian squeezed Ah Li's hand, his eyes flashing with fervor as he looked at Ah Li. So, he's not incapable!

Mr. Xiao pondered after hearing this. As a doctor, these words were merely the diagnostic methods he needed to use when treating patients.

"Let's continue taking the medicine."

Mr. Xiao also said, "No tonics for nourishing the body are allowed, but other things are fine."

Wang Zhixian had originally wanted Wang Zhilu to get him some nourishing food, but upon hearing this, he told Ali to go out first.

After Ah Li left, Wang Zhixian asked, "Then, can that thing still be..."

This question is extremely important to him.

"Young Master, let me ask you, how did you feel when you did that?"

This time, Wang Zhixian said with a smile, "Pleasant, joyful, comfortable."

Mr. Xiao said in a serious tone, "For people who have been ill for a long time, maintaining a good mood, joy and happiness can be considered a good medicine. Since you have already felt that comfort from the inside out, you should cherish this improvement and continue to persevere."

Upon hearing this, Wang Zhixian's face instantly broke into a bright smile.

However, noticing the teasing looks from Mr. Xiao and Wang Zhilu, he coughed lightly and wiped the smile off his face.

Outside the window, the sky had cleared up for once, and sunlight was shining through the clouds.

Winter is coming to an end.

Mr. Xiao and Wang Zhilu sat for a while before leaving, as they wanted to go for a stroll nearby.

When Ali came in, Wang Zhixian waved to her. When she got closer, he pulled her onto his lap and sat her down. He whispered in her ear, "Were you still able to move on your own back then?"

Ahri didn't answer him. Instead, she leaned on his shoulder and asked, "Wouldn't that be bad for your health?"

"No, Mr. Xiao said no, and even told me the more the better."

"really?"

"Um."

Wang Zhixian noticed Ah Li's relieved expression. He hugged her tightly. He was very happy. His illness would not affect her. On the contrary, the two of them would get better and better together.

Wang Zhixian even had people move all of Ali's belongings into his house.

At night, the hot water bottle wasn't used much anymore, but the small kitchen was used to boil water more often.

Everything else remained the same for the people in Wang Zhixian's courtyard. The only change was that Wang Zhilu had taken the laurel wreath.

Wang Zhilu thought: It would be best to keep a spirit that can disappear into thin air under his watchful eye.

The next day, the laurel was gone.

Rumors circulated in the manor that the second young master had killed someone, while others said that Yuegui had run away because she didn't want to be with the second young master.

When Wang Zhilu came to Wang Zhixian's courtyard again, Wang Zhixian specifically asked him, "Did you really deal with that person?"

Wang Zhilu sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Brother, you know me. I'm soft-hearted and won't lay a hand on a weak woman."

"Where is she?"

"It disappeared, but this remained."

A bracelet appeared in Wang Zhilu's hand, and he said, "It looks like a bracelet, but it's not quite a bracelet, and you can't break it."

Wang Zhixian reached out to take a look, but Wang Zhilu immediately withdrew his hand, preventing Wang Zhixian from taking it, and said, "This thing is extremely evil, and it will flash red light at night."

Ahri wasn't curious at all and continued to quietly brew her tea. Yuegui had been eliminated after failing her mission, but her system space remained.

The next second, the bracelet in Wang Zhilu's hand suddenly emitted a blinding red light.

Wang Zhixian immediately lunged towards Ah Li, shielding Ah Li with his own body.
