Chapter 5: First Encounter with Warcraft

The first lesson of survival

As the warmth of the morning light swept across the valley, Lin Feng woke up from his simple but warm wooden bed. He had spent his first night in Servais' camp, and on this day, a new challenge awaited him - a head-on confrontation with a real monster.

During a brief chat after breakfast, Servais mentioned the mushroom swamp near the camp. It was a hotbed of magical beast activity and a perfect place for Lin Feng's first real-world combat experience. After completing theoretical studies of magic and swordsmanship, Servais decided it was time for Lin Feng to experience actual combat.

"You have mastered the basics of swordsmanship and magic. Now you need to learn how to apply them in actual combat." Servais's deep voice sounded particularly serious in the morning air.

Lin Feng nodded, knowing this was the necessary training to become a powerful warrior. He circulated the magical energy within his body and felt he was in peak condition. Picking up his forged dagger, Lin Feng followed Servais out of the camp.

During the journey, Servais warned Lin Feng: "Don't be careless in front of monsters. What you need to do is not only to use your skills, but more importantly, understand their habits."

Soon, they reached the edge of the mushroom swamp, where a suffocating fog loomed before them. Lin Feng sensed a vague threat and cautiously unleashed his magical senses, attempting to detect the danger lurking within the fog.

Servais signaled Lin Feng to stop. "Don't rush in. Try to feel the changes around you first." He whispered instructions.

Lin Feng closed his eyes, concentrating on his heartbeat and breathing. Gradually, the sounds in the mushroom swamp began to become clearer. The rustling of footsteps allowed him to determine the approximate location of the monster.

Suddenly, a strong sense of danger struck him. He opened his eyes and saw a massive beast looming in the fog not far ahead. It was a swamp wolf. Its body was covered in fur riddled with deadly thorns, its emerald eyes flashing with greed and savagery, and it let out a low, ferocious growl.

Servais didn't attack. He took a few steps back and said to Lin Feng, "This is your battle. Show your skills!"

Lin Feng took a deep breath, calming himself. He knew that cowardice would only make him a prey to the monsters. He needed to rely on wisdom and strength to defeat his opponents. The swamp wolf seemed to sense the impending battle and crouched, ready to launch a fatal attack at any moment.

Lin Feng quickly assessed the situation and first cast a basic protective spell, creating a transparent shield around his body. As soon as he finished, the Swamp Wolf pounced on him like an arrow.

The light shield shook, withstanding the first wave of attacks from the monsters. But Lin Feng knew that was only the beginning. He leaped aside, avoiding the swamp wolf's fangs.

Then, he combined his swordsmanship with magic, filling the blade with a blue glow. Every swing of the sword was accompanied by magic, serving both as an attack and a defense. Despite the swamp wolf's fierce attacks, Lin Feng remained steady, his magic and swordsmanship working in perfect harmony.

After continuous turns and counterattacks, the swamp wolf's physical strength gradually decreased and the poison weakened. Finally, a scorching magic sword energy directly hit its vitals.

The swamp wolf roared in pain and fell to the ground. Lin Feng went forward to check on it. He didn't kill it, but he made sure it couldn't attack again.

Servis came over, slightly satisfied with Lin Feng's performance. "It seems that you are prepared. Now you should understand that in this world, strength is the most important thing."

Lin Feng nodded, the aftermath of the previous battle still lingering in his mind. Today's lesson had profoundly taught him the importance of survival.

On the way back to the camp, Lin Feng's mood was difficult to calm down. After experiencing real combat, he realized more clearly the cruelty and beauty of this world. Here, life and death are just a thought away.

Servis didn't interrupt Lin Feng's thoughts. He knew that Lin Feng was experiencing the necessary growth and that the road ahead was still long. But today, Lin Feng had taken an important step. Lin Feng, in turn, secretly vowed that he must become stronger in order to create his own legend in this new world rife with dangers. Chapter 5: First Encounter with Warcraft: The First Lesson of Survival

The morning sun once again shone on the Servis camp. Lin Feng awoke to a new day, knowing that today would be a crucial day in his alien survival journey. With the system's help, he would face real monsters for the first time and learn how to survive in this dangerous new world.

Servais took him out of the camp, through a lush woodland, and came to a relatively open place, which Servais called the "Trial Field". The monsters there would be the touchstone of Lin Feng's combat effectiveness.

All the combat skills and magical theories that had been systematically learned would be put to the test today. Lin Feng finished regulating his breathing, tightly gripping the newly crafted magic sword in his hand, and staring at the dense grass ahead.

Suddenly, a slight movement came from the brush. Lin Feng was immediately alert, his gaze fixed on the spot like a sharp arrow. A moment later, a huge black shadow leaped out of the brush, revealing its true form—a giant bear, covered in thick black magic armor, its scarlet eyes gleaming with murderous intent.

Lin Feng didn't hesitate. The magical power he had carefully cultivated surged within him. He swung the magic sword in his hand with lightning speed, facing the wind, and the tip of the sword danced with blue flames. The giant bear revealed its ferocious face, its magic armor like sharp armor, guarding and defending, revealing its savagery and fearlessness.

This was a true test. Servais watched silently from afar, unable to offer any assistance. Lin Feng had to rely on everything he had learned to face the demonic bear. The silent forest seemed to hold its breath, awaiting the winner.
