After receiving the seeds, Xiang Wanwan prepared to plant them immediately.
According to her previous plan, she set aside the rightmost part of the yard to grow vegetables.
She looked at the hardened ground and sighed deeply.
This piece of land is so big, just digging it out will exhaust her.

Xiang Wanwan first went next door to find Sister Wang and asked her if she had any hoes or anything like that, and told her that she wanted to grow vegetables.

As if sensing her confusion, Aunt Wang whispered in her ear, "Her name is Sun Guihua. She was the one who gave me directions the day I arrived. She's such a nice person."
"His husband's name is Li Jun, and I think he's some kind of official."

Xiang Wanwan looked at the woman in the courtyard and, like Wang Sao, greeted her, "Hello, Sister Sun!"
"Oh, come in quickly! Come in quickly!"
"This must be Chief Lu's wife. She looks like an angel. Standing in this courtyard, I feel like my whole courtyard has brightened up."
Sister Wang enthusiastically grabbed her hand and chimed in, "You bet I dare say Wanwan is absolutely the prettiest girl on this island."
"That's right!"
The two of them started chatting away on their own.
Looking at the two of them, Xiang Wanwan couldn't help but smile.
No wonder these two can get along; they have similar personalities and are both straightforward.
Xiang Wanwan didn't forget her important business and quickly interrupted the two, "Sister Sun, do you have a hoe at home? I'd like to plant some vegetables in the yard."
Upon hearing this, Sister Wang finally realized what she had come for.

Sun Guihua smiled at her and nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes! I didn't expect that someone with such delicate skin like you could grow vegetables!"

Wang's wife didn't forget to add a few words of praise for her.
The two men got their hoes and went back to the yard to start working.
Xiang Wanwan first marked out the size of the area where she would plant vegetables, and then began to turn over the soil along the lines.
Wang's wife helped her clear away the weeds.
The place didn't look very big, but because the soil was so compacted, the two of them took turns turning the soil and worked for a whole afternoon.
