Xiao Si ran from Li Shuwan's arms to Ke'er, hugged Ke'er, and rubbed his little face against Ke'er's face. "Sister, you have to be careful. The mouse brother talked about is very cunning. Brother will give you candy, you just put it in a good place. If the mouse comes to bite you, give it the candy and run home quickly. Do you understand?" After saying that, he grabbed a few candies and gave them to Ke'er.
Ke'er came to the sweet potato field with her family's love and worry. Before she even got close to the field, she heard "Chirp, chirp, the round potatoes in this field are delicious and sweet." "Eating them can also give you strength." "Yes, we all love to eat them. Bite them quickly and take them away." Ke'er was confused. "Hu Bao, can I understand the language of animals?" Hu Bao was also confused in the space. "I don't know about this. Maybe it's the superpower given to you by the Tiger Heart."
Just as Ke'er was about to say a few words to Tiger Bao, she heard the mouse say:
"Oh, I'm getting my daughter married tomorrow, and I can't let the rat people laugh at me. I have to make sure they have enough to eat, so..."
"So, you come and steal my sweet potatoes." Ke'er said.
The mouse was not surprised at all when he heard Ke'er talking. He said calmly, "How can this be called stealing? We look for food in the wild. We will move home wherever there is food. We will choose to move to where the food is good." After saying that, he spread out his two paws.
"Okay, tomorrow I'll spread medicine all over this place, and anyone who comes looking for food will be killed by the medicine." Ke'er said as she pretended to put her hand into her bag.
"Alas, humans are always self-righteous, thinking that the world belongs to them. They are too domineering. Humph, let's go. Now try your best to carry away the round potato. Act now." After saying this, the mouse actually stood up and backed away like humans, holding a sweet potato twice as big as itself in its two front legs, and walked away with a zigzag step. It even glanced at Ke'er as it passed by her legs.
I saw a dozen mice taking away the sweet potatoes that were about to break their legs in all kinds of strange ways: one mouse was lying on the ground holding a huge sweet potato, and another mouse was dragging it by its tail; a small mouse was rolling a big sweet potato with its forelimbs; and some were dragging vines with five or six sweet potatoes hanging on the vines. They would stop after every step but would not let go. They were greedy mice; and some mice used a red willow branch to string three or four sweet potatoes into the shape of a candied haws, dragging and pushing them as they went...
From the beginning to the end, the mice completely ignored Ke'er and remained unhurried. What happened to the mice being afraid of humans? What happened to the mice being highly alert?
Even after they had gone far away, Ke'er still stood there in a daze.
