They watched her as if she were a spectacle.
“Yes, you can eat it,” Qin Tiantian replied. “It’s a type of celery, but it’s not as juicy as regular celery.”
Zhao Chunyu thought for a moment and suggested, "Then let's pick more."
Chen Rong frowned and said, "I don't like eating this, it's too salty."
Fang Yuyan glanced at her and said, "If you don't want to eat, then don't. We can't force it into your mouth."
Chen Rong took a deep breath.
She silently murmured, "Fang Yuyan helped her, helped her, helped her."
She breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Then you can go pick them!"
I won't pick it if I don't want to eat it.
"Let's go! We'll look elsewhere." Zhao Chunyu waved his hand and led a group of people away.
Yunling and the others also picked all the ones they could.
One person carried a large stack of items and walked back.
On the way, Qin Tiantian spotted a large patch of dandelions and said, "You can steep these in water and drink the water. It cleanses the intestines and helps with bowel movements, which is good for your health."
Then pull it out!
After a lot of tidying up, until her hands were full, Qin Tiantian used the hem of her clothes to hold the bags and said, "Next time we go out, we should carry a basket, otherwise it's a waste."
"Alright," Qin Chuan said. "There are plenty of these things on the ground. If you want to pick them, you can come back another day."
Qin Tiantian: "Okay! Let's come together another day and pick more."
She looked at Yunling and said, "Third Sister-in-law, drink more tea then. It's getting cold, so it's not suitable to drink chrysanthemum tea."
Yunling couldn't help but chuckle and said, "Then I'll thank you in advance, little sister."
Back home, Qin Tiantian went to prepare the water celery.
Yunling was hungry, so she went back to her room and opened a can of fruit.
I gave some to Qin Chuan, and then gave him the rest of the water.
"You drink it!" Qin Chuan pushed him away.
Yunling shook her head, looking unwilling, and said, "It's too sweet, too cloying, I don't like it."
Qin Chuan raised an eyebrow.
This was the first time he had ever heard anyone say that the water in the canned food was too sweet.
He looked at Yunling suspiciously and tentatively said, "Let's each have half."
Yunling was both amused and exasperated. She leaned against him, listening to his heartbeat, and said, "Why would I lie to you about something so small? I really don't like it."
Qin Chuan slowly finished drinking, and seeing that no one was in the yard, he washed the canning jar clean, filled it halfway with water, and put the wildflowers that Yun Ling had received that day into the canning jar.
Yunling smiled and said, "It looks quite nice."
It added a touch of brightness to the room.
"If you like, I'll pick more for you. There's no shortage of wildflowers," Qin Chuan said.
Yunling nodded: "Okay!"
After resting for a while, Qin Chuan went to chop firewood, while Yun Ling went to the kitchen to help cook.
Liu Yun was also there, and as usual, he didn't give Yun Ling a friendly look when he saw her.
Yunling ignored her, stood aside handing over the items and chatting with Qin Tiantian.
Liu Yun was unhappy.
She felt isolated.
The act of adding firewood was exceptionally loud.
Zhang Guihua, who had just reached the kitchen door, heard it. As soon as she came in, she saw Liu Yun's resentful face and said fiercely, "If you don't want to work, then get out of here."
Liu Yun shrank back like a quail.
If she doesn't work, this wicked mother-in-law won't give her any food.
Zhang Guihua continued, "They're really like dogs that need a beating. They can't learn from Xiuxiu. The older they get, the less capable they become."
Wang Xiuxiu smiled.
I got praised!
happy!
Liu Yun glanced at Wang Xiuxiu. With such a frail body, she couldn't even give birth to a boy. What was there to praise?
Unlike her, there's also Rui Rui.
Wang Xiuxiu noticed her sister-in-law's gaze but didn't care and continued with her own business.
Many hands make light work!
The meal was ready in no time.
I made a big bowl of cold water celery salad with garlic, chili peppers, salt, and vinegar, but no oil.
It tastes pretty good.
After dinner, Qin Tiantian took her three older brothers to pick chestnuts.
Yunling didn't want to go; she was too tired. After resting for a while, she went to the brigade office.
"I heard you and Xiao Qin went out alone this morning," Cai Shaoyun said with a smile.
Yunling: "Tiantian also went with us, to the Moon Spring in the next brigade."
Cai Shaoyun nodded and said, "Every year around the time of the Lunar New Year, everyone in our team goes there. It's warm and cozy, and taking a bath there is especially refreshing."
She sighed, "If only it were in our brigade, I would go there every month."
Yunling agreed.
With people gossiping around, Cai Shaoyun wasn't bored. He said with great interest, "The Hu family's daughter has a new boyfriend, a young educated youth from the next brigade. Old Mrs. Hu and Chunyan don't approve of him and even went to make a scene. I heard they beat up the young educated youth, saying he seduced her daughter."
Yunling opened her eyes wide and said, "Really?"
Cai Shaoyun nodded and said, "I just went to the Hu family to mediate what happened. We should reason with each other. How can we beat someone up at the drop of a hat? But I think Hanxiu's boyfriend is going to break up with her again this time."
She sighed and said, "But I can understand. It's not that educated youth are bad, but you will eventually have to go back to the city and marry male educated youth. When that happens, you can just pack up and leave, and the person who married him will be in trouble. If a man has a conscience, he will take you to the city, but most men don't."
However, marrying an educated youth is different; the child is flesh of your own flesh.
Most mothers will find it hard to part with their children.
At this point, she asked with some curiosity, "When do you and Qin Chuan plan to have children? You've been married for almost a year now."
“It’s not that exaggerated,” Yunling said. “Having children is a matter of fate. If you don’t want a child, you can have one.”
