Zhang Guihua: "She's pretty, literate, and knows how to charm people. What boy wouldn't like her?"
Qin Baoguo lit a cigarette, took a puff, and said, "If my son were to follow her around like that and not live a proper life, I would break his legs."
Zhang Guihua scoffed and said confidently, "My sons aren't that stupid. The eldest is honest and simple, the second won't even do his own chores, let alone help the female educated youth, and the youngest is smarter than his two older brothers and is even less likely to be fooled."
Her three sons are all people who are unwilling to suffer losses, but her youngest daughter has been spoiled since childhood and has a somewhat soft personality. She will have to be careful when looking for a husband in the future.
Upon hearing this, Qin Yan blinked, pouted, and whispered, "My dad isn't lazy at all. Last night he was talking in his sleep and said that working is so tiring, but he wants to keep going."
Yunling patted her head and said, "Your father isn't lazy."
In every child's eyes, their own parents are the best, and they cannot tolerate others looking down on them.
At least she's much more diligent than her. The original owner of this body was in poor health, and since she transmigrated, her health hasn't improved much; she occasionally feels dizzy and weak.
Seeing that her second sister-in-law had finished bathing, Yunling said to the two children, "It's getting late, go back to sleep!"
As she spoke, Qin Yan yawned. Qin Tao put away the cat's cradle rope, took her sister's hand, and said, "Third Aunt, let's go back to our room to sleep."
Yunling stood up and nodded, watching the two of them walk back to Qin Tiantian's room.
Then she went to the kitchen to get water and started washing up. It was the middle of summer, and the men in the Qin family usually washed with cold water, but she dared not, as her health was already poor.
Seeing that no one was in the yard, Qin Baoguo sat down next to his wife and muttered, "That kid, he shirks his responsibilities when he's working, making things much easier for us than for us. And at night he even talks in his sleep about how tiring it is to work."
He wouldn't have believed it at all if his granddaughter hadn't said it.
Zhang Guihua put away the sewn shoe soles, stood up and said, "It's still better than his previous hard work."
In recent years, they have been keeping a close eye on him, and the second son can no longer slack off like before, leaving the farm work to his older brother and his wife.
Qin Baoguo said, "You spoiled him too much in the past. I'll take care of him from now on. The second son is like an ox in the team, only moving when provoked."
Zhang Guihua nodded indifferently. "A son is no longer under his mother's control when he grows up. Now that he's married and has children, he doesn't need her, his mother, to manage him anymore. So she won't be disliked and won't have to please either side."

When Yunling came out after taking a bath, there was no one left in the courtyard. It was getting dark, and the moonlight shone on the whole earth. Taking advantage of the hazy moonlight, she washed the clothes she had changed out of and hung them on the clothesline in the courtyard.
Back in the room, Qin Chuan was sitting by the window reading a book. Yun Ling glanced at him curiously, but didn't recognize him. She said to him, "Go take a shower!"
Qin Chuan nodded, closed the book, put it in the cabinet, and took a clean set of clothes to the yard.
He returned before Yunling had even finished drying her hair. He was very quiet, but he still answered every question she asked.
"Why is Zhao Wu from next door back at this time?"
Qin Chuan's voice was low and deep, "Soon, he comes back at the end of almost every month."
Yunling blinked and said, "Do you think he might find out that his wife and brother are having an affair?"
Qin Chuan paused for a moment and said, "He trusts his wife and brother very much, and even if he finds out, he won't make a big fuss about it."
Yunling thought for a moment and said, "That's true. After all, having a green hat on one's head doesn't sound good. Besides, the two of them have two children. Rumors will harm the children."
She clicked her tongue and said, "Do you think I should secretly tell him?"
Qin Chuan raised an eyebrow: "You'd be so kind?" Or are you just looking for a spectacle?
Yunling said in a serious tone, "I just don't like people who betray their marriages."
Qin Chuan looked at Yun Ling suspiciously. During this period, his biggest impression of his wife was that she was too curious. Wherever there was excitement, she would be there.
She chuckled and said, "I just think Zhao Wen is disgusting. He spends his brother's money and sleeps with his brother's woman."
It's just disgusting.
Qin Chuan pondered for a moment and said, "We can write him a letter, disguise ourselves, and have a child deliver it to him."
Yunling nodded decisively: "Okay."
After discussing it and chatting for a while, the two went to sleep.
The next morning, Yunling was awakened by the chirping of birds outside her window. She opened the window and saw two brightly colored birds chirping in the tree by the door.
Seeing her open the window and flutter her little wings away, Yunling had only been lying down for a short while when the chirping started again outside, with occasional cicada calls.
So annoying!
Yunling glanced at the time; it was 5:30 a.m. Qin Chuan was still fast asleep beside her. After hesitating for a moment, she got out of bed, changed into a light blue shirt and black pants, and, to follow local customs, tied her hair into two braids. She then took a washbasin to the yard to wash up.
Wang Xiuxiu had just finished washing her face in the courtyard. When she saw Yunling, she smiled and asked, "Sister-in-law, you're up so early today?"
Yunling said in a hoarse voice, "The birds in the tree are too noisy, they keep chirping, and I can't sleep, so I wake up."
“This is the place in the mountains. There are lots of birds, all year round, chirping away non-stop. You’ll get used to it.” Wang Xiuxiu tied her hair up and said, “Sister-in-law, I’m going to cook now.”
"Then you go ahead and get busy, sister-in-law," Yunling said.
Yunling was a little hungry. She rubbed her rumbling stomach, picked a tender cucumber from the ground, washed it, and took a bite. It was full of cucumber flavor.
He finished the cucumber in a few bites, broke the remaining cucumber into three pieces, and tossed them to the three old hens he raised at home.
