Chapter 515 Second Uncle's Previous Speculations

The matter with MOS Technology has come to an end. If nothing unexpected happens, it should be possible to negotiate a deal, but the details will still need to be discussed several times.

So Xu Nanxing can rest assured for the time being.

What Xu Nanxing is concerned about now is the affairs of his second uncle's family. His second uncle's family is not in Malaysia as his grandfather mentioned, but has come to the United States. It seems that they have lived in the United States for quite some time.

Xu Nanxing didn't know the reason, and he didn't know where his uncle was now.

Unfortunately, she cannot recognize the other party immediately and cannot ask the other party in person.

However, Xu Nanxing still checked the situation in Malaysia on the Internet.

She was shocked to find that after the "May 13 Incident" in the 1960s, the Chinese in Southeast Asia had a very difficult life!

The local Chinese were severely discriminated against by the indigenous people, and many violent attacks occurred.

At that time, our motherland was still experiencing its own difficulties and had just begun the Cultural Revolution which lasted for ten years!

The entire society of our motherland was in great chaos at that time, and it was simply unable to take care of the overseas Chinese compatriots!

Xu Nanxing guessed that it was during this period that his second uncle and his family had to choose to leave Malaysia and come to live in the United States.

After all, the United States is a country of immigrants, and its external propaganda is to embrace people of different skin colors, nationalities, and countries who immigrate to the United States.

When it comes to tolerance of immigrants, the contrast is obvious!

Therefore, for Chinese people living in Malaysia, when their motherland is still in a state of chaos, of course their first choice is to immigrate to the United States!

This should be the truth behind why my second uncle is not in Malaysia but in the United States!

Xu Nanxing could only sigh that no matter whether Chinese people in China or abroad, they are not living well!

And, most importantly, our motherland is poor and weak, so anyone dares to shit on your head!

Chinese people abroad are also bullied!

If it were in modern times, when our motherland was prosperous and strong, which country would dare to bully the Chinese like this?

Just wait for China’s sanctions against you!

Some people may say that these Chinese are foreigners, not Chinese, and we cannot control them, nor do we need to.

Anyway, they are all foreigners, not from our country!

However, these so-called overseas Chinese will work hard for their motherland when it is in trouble!

Take World War II as an example. When the Anti-Japanese War, which concerned the life and death of the country and the nation, broke out, the vast number of overseas Chinese took quick action and actively donated money and materials to the motherland that was deeply involved in the war.

By the end of 1940, these Chinese and overseas Chinese had formed 2,794 "anti-Japanese and national salvation groups" overseas.

Under the leadership of various "national salvation groups" and patriotic overseas Chinese, overseas Chinese actively assisted the motherland's war of resistance through monthly donations, special donations, cash, charity sales, family remittances and subscriptions to national salvation bonds.

After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the then Nationalist Government issued a total of 22 types of bonds, such as national salvation bonds, military supply bonds, gold-dollar bonds, national defense bonds, and national construction savings bonds, and overseas Chinese actively purchased each type of bond.

Among them, overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia contributed the most donations at that time!

It is reported that overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia at that time pledged donations of 4 million yuan per month.

During the eight years of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia subscribed to various bonds issued by the National Government, totaling 1.1 billion national currency, which exceeded one-third of the total amount of bonds issued during the war. Moreover, the National Government did not repay these bonds after the war, which was actually tantamount to donations.

Moreover, from 1937 to 1946, the donations from overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia totaled 1.3 billion yuan, which directly covered nearly half of the country's military expenditure at the time.

In addition to financial support, overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia also donated scarce wartime supplies including medicines, vehicles, clothing, aircraft, firearms, etc. to the country, greatly alleviating the country's urgent need for military and daily necessities at the time.

Even though these Chinese are living abroad and are considered foreigners, their hearts are always concerned about their motherland.
