Chapter 14: Naming Controversy
When Wu Ya, who arrived a little late, heard this, his heart finally settled down and he breathed a long sigh of relief.
She was really scared just now. She thought the cubs had encountered some accident, but she didn't expect that they just changed their human form.
Xia Yueke, who was held in Wu Ya's arms, was already stunned with astonishment. The little fox cub's round eyes were wide open, as if he had seen the most incredible thing in the world.
She shook her head in disbelief, then quickly wiped her eyes with her furry little paws, and looked again. Hey, she was not seeing things!
There were really two cubs the size of children lying on the ground.
Xia Yueke blinked her eyes and looked carefully again and again, confirming that they were the thin eyebrows and the thick tail.
This change was too magical. She never thought that the brother she usually played with would become like this in the blink of an eye.
Xia Yueke's big round eyes rolled around, and his mind was as fast as lightning.
She looked at her brothers who had turned into human forms on the ground and on the bed. Even if their tails and ears were still there, what did it matter?
In her eyes, it was a magical and exciting change.
Her little heart was beating "thump thump" non-stop, and it felt like a happy little deer was jumping in her heart.
She thought to herself, "My brothers have transformed into human form. Does that mean I can transform soon too?"
When she thought of this, her furry little tail seemed to be equipped with a small electric motor, wagging happily from side to side in Wuya's arms.
Just as Xia Yueke was excited and expectantly waiting for her transformation, Chu Qingchen turned around.
With a gentle smile, he reached out and gently touched her little head.
"Little female, do you think you're about to transform? Why are you so happy all of a sudden?"
Chu Qingchen smiled and joked.
Xia Yueke seemed to understand and nodded impatiently, shaking her little head up and down like a chick pecking at rice.
This shocked Chu Qingchen greatly. His eyes widened instantly and his hands froze in mid-air unconsciously. He was so surprised that he almost used too much force, as if he wanted to twist Xia Yueke's head off.
His face was full of disbelief:
"No way? His little cub is so smart now? He can understand what he says? This is really strange."
Chu Qingchen took the little female cub from Wu Ya's arms and said softly:
"Don't worry, you'll be transforming soon too. However, female cubs transform more slowly, usually two or three months later than male cubs. You'll have to wait patiently!"
Xia Yueke's eyes were full of disgust, and she stretched out her claws and gently scratched the furry head.
Is two or three months too long?
She really wanted to transform right now, she wanted to talk, she wanted to explore this new place!
Chu Qingchen chuckled at Xia Yueke's reaction, "Our little female cub doesn't have a name yet? Do you want the father to give you one?"
Xia Yueke was wondering in his heart, huh, what good name can this orc come up with?
She didn't want to be ruined by a weird name.
So, she shook her fox head like a rattle, as if she was going to shake it off, just to quickly stop Chu Qingchen's terrible idea.
Chu Qingchen was about to open his mouth and show off his "earth-shattering and soul-stirring" high-level naming skills, but when he saw Xia Yueke's face full of disgust, he couldn't help but shout:
"Hey, little cub, why do you despise your father so much? I'm really good at naming things!"
Wu Ya almost laughed to death watching these two funny guys interacting with each other.
After making sure the cubs were safe, Chu Qingchen was no longer in a hurry to rename Xia Yueke. He reached out and rubbed Xia Yueke's furry little head, saying:
"Since you don't trust the father beast so much, then when you transform and can speak, you can take it yourself!"
Xia Yueke's little head moved little by little like a chick pecking at rice, which clearly meant that she agreed.
Chu Qingchen curled his lips and sighed pretentiously:
"Alas, the cub hasn't even been weaned yet, but it already has its own ideas and won't listen to its father!"
In the animal world, some animals are particularly smart when they are young, so Chu Qingchen was not so surprised.
Otherwise, I would have been really scared by Xia Yueke's infinite cleverness.
Wu Yaze quickly carried the two cubs on the ground back to the bed. Fortunately, the bed was big enough for the three little cubs to lie on, and they fit perfectly, as if they were tailor-made for them.
Chu Qingchen didn't dare leave Xia Yueke here. This little guy had a lot of tricks up his sleeve! He picked up Xia Yueke and put her on Wu Ya's bed.
Why? He had seen with his own eyes how Xia Yue "bullied" the three brothers.
If no one was watching, Xia Yue would definitely cause a big fuss.
Take when she was a child, for example. It was fine, but when she grew up a little, she would sleep on her brothers at night, and those brothers basically became her mattresses.
Xia Yueke cried out in her heart that it was unfair. Could she be blamed for this?
After Wu Ya left, it was so cold at night. If she hadn't squeezed into the innermost part and used those brothers as warm blankets, she would have been frozen into a popsicle.
After Wuya carried the two cubs to the bed, she gently placed them in the center of the bed.
She first carefully placed their little hands, and then she carefully tidied the hair of the little male cub next to her.
Wu Ya pulled over the soft, cloud-like animal skin blanket from the end of the bed. This blanket was carefully selected and made by her, and it had exquisite patterns on it.
She gently unfolded the blanket and slowly covered the cubs with it, tucking the corners in tightly so that only three cute little faces were exposed.
Chu Qingchen walked over, his steps very light, for fear of waking up the little guys.
He looked at the cubs on the bed, the corners of his mouth unconsciously raised, his eyes full of doting.
He took out a small wooden sculpture from a cabinet beside him, which he had spent a lot of time and effort to make in his spare time.
The texture on the wood carving is clearly visible, and every detail is handled just right. The shape is that of a running little animal.
He gently placed the wooden sculpture next to his pillow and whispered, "Little ones, consider this a gift from your father. When you wake up and see it, you will definitely like it."
Xia Yuke was not idle on Wu Ya's bed either. She scratched the bed with her little claws, leaving shallow marks on the animal skin.
She seemed to be carrying out a major mission to find the most comfortable position on the bed.
Suddenly, she smelled a familiar fragrance, it was the scent of osmanthus that Wu Ya often placed beside the bed to help her sleep.
