Chapter 134 Distinguishing

The other man, seeing his boss suffer such a heavy loss in a single encounter, looked at Jian Ning in disbelief.

She's clearly a weak woman, how could she be so powerful? This time she's met her match.

He involuntarily took two steps back. He wasn't a born thug; he was afraid of people like this too.

Do you still want me to stay?

Jian Ning lifted her foot and stomped on the tall, thin man's left leg again. Only after hearing the crisp sound of bones breaking did she nod in satisfaction.

"We wouldn't dare, big sister, please have mercy on us!" The tall, thin man, who knew when to back down, endured the pain in his legs and quickly begged for mercy.

"Who are you calling 'big sister'?" Jian Ning glared at him, then pressed down harder on her foot. She was so young; how could she possibly be his older sister?

"Little sister, little sister, it's my fault, can you lift your leg up? It hurts so much!" The tall, thin man cried out, probably realizing his bones were probably dislocated. He quickly changed his tune.

That's more like it. Jian Ning lifted her foot and slowly walked towards the long-faced man.

Just scratching his face isn't enough; he needs to be bedridden for at least a year. And the other one won't escape either; they're all birds of a feather, not a single one is good.

"Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer!"

Long-faced man covered his still-bleeding face and kept backing away on the ground. As Jian Ning got closer and closer, he ignored the pain in his face, got up and ran away.

Seeing the long-faced man run away, before Jian Ning could even make a move, Huang Fugui became unwilling.

It's an honor for you that my master is willing to come and teach you a lesson. How dare you run away? I'll scratch your face until it's bruised and battered.

It darted forward in a flash, leaping onto the long-faced man's shoulder and slashing his face twice more.

"Ah! ~~~~~~~~~~" Those two scratches were really hard. You could see the bones in her face.

Jian Ning followed closely behind, a flash of cold light, and the long-faced man's lower body was bleeding profusely. Then she stomped on his legs twice more.

The crisp sound of bones breaking, accompanied by the long-faced man's scream, startled the other man so much that he fell to his knees with a thud.

He slapped his face with both hands in turn.

She pleaded repeatedly, "I was wrong, please forgive me, I'll never do it again. You can take all the fish, I'll pick them up and take them home for you."

"You think I'll forgive you just because you begged for forgiveness after you've done something wrong?"

I'm not some saint who saves all living beings. I won't kill you this time, but if I see you bullying people again, I'll castrate you all.

"Yes, we definitely won't dare to do it again. We'll all be good people from now on," the man cried, tears and snot streaming down his face, wetting the ground.

Jian Ning frowned, finding him too dirty. She simply kicked him and walked away.

However, this kick was much lighter than the previous two; it only caused a bone fracture, and although the person suffered some pain, the leg was not broken.

The man waited until Jian Ning was far away before he dared to drag himself up on one leg to rescue her.

Jian Ning took the fish and went straight to find Xiao Lingfeng. His location was easy to pinpoint; she just needed to ask a passerby where to get water.

When they arrived, Xiao Lingfeng was indeed in the house behind the water source.

"Why are you here?" Jian Ning asked the soldier on guard to inform him, and Xiao Lingfeng quickly ran out.

"Let me show you this fish. I think I have a way of distinguishing which ones are edible and which ones are not."

"How can we tell? Come on, I'll take you to find Fu Mengfan, and we'll talk about it together so he can hear it too."

"You wouldn't believe it, but he's almost gone bald from worrying about those two strange fish that washed ashore." Xiao Lingfeng wasn't joking.

“Okay, let’s go. Are you sure you can leave here?” Jian Ning was worried that he would be delayed in his work.

"I'll say I'll be right back. Wait for me a moment."

Xiao Lingfeng quickly ran back, and returned in less than a minute. He led Jian Ning to the third floor, to a room marked "Infirmary."

Upon inspection, it turned out to be a suite. There was no one outside, only a desk and two chairs, and the door to the inner room was tightly closed.

"Sit down and wait a moment, I'll go see what he's doing." Xiao Lingfeng asked Jian Ning to sit down in a chair, then went to knock on the door. After a while, Fu Mengfan finally came out wearing a white coat.

Her hair was very messy, clearly indicating that she hadn't slept all night.

He looked extremely tired, took off his glasses and wiped them: "Is there something urgent?"

"Jian Ning brought over a few more fish, saying she can tell which ones are harmless to humans. Haven't you figured it out yet?"

"No, I'm not a professional researcher. I can only say that I detected two unknown elements in the fish's body that affected its development."

My guess is that it was most likely caused by a nuclear leak; the mutations in marine life didn't happen overnight.

"A nuclear leak? In the island nation?" Xiao Lingfeng immediately understood what he meant and frowned.

"Yes, I can't think of anywhere else but there."

Which fish are fine? Let me check. The equipment isn't complete; it's really a headache.

Fu Mengfan only noticed Jian Ning sitting in the chair when he got to this point. He walked over, shook hands with her, and greeted her: "Hello, I heard from Xiao Lingfeng that you were the first to notice the abnormality of this fish. That's a great achievement."

"It was just a coincidence. As for my contribution, Dr. Fu, take a look. I found that these kinds of fish are very likely not contaminated, but I can't quite put my finger on why."

Perhaps they have antibodies, or they swim relatively fast. I'm not sure of the specific reason.

"Oh, why did you make this discovery? Can you tell me the specific reasons?" Fu Mengfan was very interested.

"There's no particular reason. My cat loves to eat fish, but there are so many different kinds of fish on the ground..."

It only eats these kinds of fish. When I put a fish with two heads in front of it, it shoved it away, looking quite disgusted.

"Oh, this cat? It's so intelligent! Can we give it another try?"

Although it was somewhat mystical, Fu Mengfan didn't say he didn't believe it. Instead, he looked down at Huang Fugui on the ground and wondered what breed of cat it was. He had never heard of cats with horns on their heads before.

"Come on, Huang Fugui, pick out all the fish you like to eat, and leave the ones you can't eat where they are." After Jian Ning finished speaking, she took the bag of fish that Xiao Lingfeng was carrying and poured the fish onto the ground.

Huang Fugui blinked its big eyes at her and meowed.

She walked over with graceful, light cat-like steps. She picked out the fish that didn't have a blackish tinge and set them aside, placing them in a separate pile.

"Can it really understand what you're saying?" Fu Mengfan stared wide-eyed in shock.

"Of course, there shouldn't be any problems. In my opinion, this variety should be fine."

You definitely can't eat anything else, Dr. Fu, please get it checked as soon as possible.

If there are no problems, the soldiers will have food too, and besides, it's so hot; those fish will rot quickly if they're not eaten. Wouldn't that be a waste?
