Jian Ning quickly agreed. She would be happy even if she received ten, let alone thirty three-tailed phoenix sunflowers. She took out a shovel from her spatial storage, carefully dug them up, roots and all, and planted them in her space.
If these flowers survive, Huang Fugui will have plenty to eat.
After everything was done, I saw the leopard still smacking its lips.
She simply led Huang Fugui back into her spatial dimension. She was quite tired from all the work and needed to rest. After grilling the meat tomorrow, she should leave as soon as possible and couldn't stay here any longer.
The two of them vanished in a flash. The leopard raised its eyes in confusion, its nose twitching as it looked around.
The wild ducks were getting anxious. Why did this person run off without saying goodbye?
Leaving that duck alive would only feed the leopard, wouldn't it? It cowered and retreated step by step. Taking advantage of the leopard's inattention, it quickly flew out of the forest and disappeared into the distance.
Jian Ning had already finished her shower and was comfortably lying in bed, having completely forgotten about the wild duck. Back in her space, her spiritual energy was flowing normally again.
The venison I just ate was full of spiritual energy, perfect for starting my cultivation. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them again, it was already noon the next day.
Emerging from the space, I saw two recently deceased sika deer lying on the ground. A leopard was pacing anxiously nearby.
Upon seeing Jian Ning appear, it let out two soft "woof woof woof" sounds, seemingly urging her to hurry up and get to work. It was hungry.
"Don't rush me, I'll get right to it, but we need to make this clear beforehand: I have to leave after I'm done with these two deer." Jian Ning said, taking out a dagger and starting to skin the sika deer.
The leopard must have understood what she said. It stopped in place and watched Jian Ning's movements, seemingly lost in thought.
More than an hour later, Jian Ning finished grilling the meat, and the three of them shared it. Then she waved casually at the leopard.
"I'm leaving now. Hope we meet again someday." With that, he led Huang Fugui and turned to walk out of the woods.
"Awoo!" Unexpectedly, the leopard suddenly roared to the sky, leaped in front of Jian Ning, and blocked her way.
"No, didn't we already agree on this? How can you go back on your word? If you insist on not letting me leave, then don't blame me for being impolite!"
As Jian Ning spoke, she had already clenched a large handful of offensive talismans in her hand.
"Meow, meow." The leopard saw that Jian Ning looked unwell and quickly meowed twice.
"Master, it says it wants to go with you. It can carry you wherever you want to go, as long as you cook three meals a day for it." Huang Fugui quickly jumped onto Jian Ning's shoulder and translated in her ear.
"What a great thing!" Jian Ning glanced at the leopard in front of her, feeling quite pleased. This could be considered a spirit beast, right? Three meals of roasted meat a day? She could handle that perfectly well.
“Okay, I agree. Let’s go.” Jian Ning put away the talisman in her hand.
The leopard immediately lay down, waiting for Jian Ning to ride on its back. It then turned and barked twice, and immediately its underlings responded. This was likely an order to keep a close watch on its treasures.
Huang Fugui jumped onto the leopard's back. With such a fine mount, only a fool would run away on their own.
“Fugui, let’s go south this time. We’ll collect everything in the outer areas, and then we’ll go to the central area.”
“Yes, I feel that the spiritual energy is strongest in the south, and it’s very likely that the spiritual vein is in that direction.” Huang Fugui straightened up and glanced south.
"Big Flower, let's go quickly."
Jian Ning gave the leopard a simple and easy-to-remember name, which pleased it greatly. It stood up and galloped southwards. It was incredibly fast; Jian Ning had to hold on tightly to its neck to keep from falling.
The further south you go, the colder the air gets. The area is vast, and the climate is surprisingly different here. The leopard ran south for several hours. When it finally stopped, all it could see were glaciers.
Jian Ning had already taken out a down jacket from her spatial storage and put it on. She also put a lot of hand warmers on her body so that she wouldn't feel so cold. Without her spiritual energy, she was no different from an ordinary person.
"Fugui, where is the dragon vein? You need to find it quickly. I can't stand it if this takes too long. How about I go back to my space and wait there, and let me know when you find it?"
"Alright, Master, you can go back first. I'll go in once I find it."
Huang Fugui felt sorry for Jian Ning when he saw that her lips were white from the cold.
The little paw waved, urging her to hurry back to the space.
Then, together with the leopard, they walked into the glacier. Their fur was absolutely windproof and cold-resistant, so this little bit of cold air was nothing to them.
Jian Ning returned to her space and quickly made herself a hot coffee.
After drinking it, I felt much better. After a while, I figured it was about time, so I came out of the space. In the distance, I saw the golden leopard carrying Huang Fugui, running back at top speed.
“Master, I’ve found it. There’s a valley under the glacier over there. Even in this cold weather, flowers are blooming. It must be the place where the dragon vein converges.”
"Okay, thank you for your trouble. Take me there." Jian Ning quickly climbed onto the leopard's back, and after running south for a while, they arrived at the place Huang Fugui had mentioned.
The terrain here is flat, resembling a basin. Yet, in this place covered with glaciers, wildflowers bloom in abundance, creating a beautiful tapestry of colors.
The basin is surrounded by undulating mountain-like shapes, culminating in a large bulge.
Jian Ning didn't even need to ask; she knew that was definitely the place where the dragon vein converged. The spiritual energy there had already become so concentrated that it was a white solid, visible to the naked eye.
"Let's go collect some spiritual energy." Other types of air can't be brought into the space, but this is different.
Jian Ning took out a large bathtub from her space and pointed to the protruding part with her finger. Da Hua immediately understood what she meant and gracefully strolled over there.
Upon reaching the vicinity, Jian Ning dismounted from the large flower, picked up the bathtub, and scooped up the rich spiritual energy, obtaining more than half a tub of milky white liquid.
He quickly poured the contents into the space. After pouring three or four basins, he slipped into the space.
Upon entering, I noticed that the spiritual energy in the air was much denser, and the three-tailed phoenix sunflowers that had been transplanted yesterday looked much more vibrant.
It seemed her method was working. Jian Ning was even happier now.
He took out a large bathtub and started working like crazy.
She didn't care about the cold anymore. Such a good opportunity was rare and precious. She was really going to strike it rich this time.
