Chapter 313 Eaten

"Xiao Ning, this place is very strange. Just now when I walked to the stairs, a strange suction force pulled all three of us into a place."

It seems to be an isolated space, and it's impossible to send messages out. It's like being trapped in a formation.

But the surroundings were very soft, feeling like the body of an animal. Xiao Lingfeng's voice was intermittent, sounding very distant.

"Trapped in a formation? That's impossible."

Jian Ning didn't believe there were other cultivators in this world. But it was hard to say.

Their landing on this rooftop was purely accidental. It's unlikely anyone deliberately set up an ambush here; it means they've stumbled upon something by mistake.

"I just felt that, and when I got here, I couldn't open the space, and I dropped the flashlight when I came in."

Wait a minute. I punched this wall, and it actually retracted. And the smell here is rather unpleasant.

Listening to Xiao Lingfeng's description, Jian Ning felt as if he had fallen into the belly of some animal. She shone her flashlight around and indeed found crawling marks on the ground.

"Don't move around. I suspect you're inside something. I'm going to find it now." Jian Ning said, releasing Huang Fugui from the immortal abode.

"Fugui, quickly smell Xiao Lingfeng's scent and see where he is."

"There's a really strong, fishy smell here. Are there snakes?"

As Huang Fugui spoke, he covered his nose with his little hand. He had just been grilling fish with Da Bai, but before he could even get a bite, his owner called him out.

"Is it a snake? You'd better find it quickly."

Jian Ning wasn't worried about Xiao Lingfeng. After all, he was a cultivator with good physical fitness. If the two of them took too long, things might get complicated.

But how come there's a huge snake in this building? Because it was dark, I couldn't tell which city this was, although there were quite a few tall buildings.

"Master, come with me." Huang Fugui sniffed, and in a flash, he transformed back into his original form from a child.

She ran quickly towards the elevator. Jian Ning followed closely, only to find that the door had been forcibly broken open when they arrived.

There was a rather large hole. Looking down from above, the elevator shaft was pitch black, without a single ray of light.

"Right down there. And there's more than one snake."

Huang Fugui turned to look at Jian Ning and said.

I didn't dare jump in rashly. Although it could fly, I still had to value my life. What if I got bitten by the python?

"Get out of the way, I'll force it out." Jian Ning waved her hand, and a huge fireball was thrown directly into the hole.

Following the firelight, you can see a fleeting green light below, which should be the eye of the giant python.

Instead of blocking the cave entrance, Jian Ning threw down two more fireballs and then quickly hid in the shadows to the side.

"Xiao Ning, be careful! Why did you move so suddenly? I can't even stand up straight." Xiao Lingfeng's urgent voice came over.

"Honey, it's okay. Fugui said there are snakes down there. You're probably inside one of them. I'll kill it in a bit, and then you'll be able to get out. Just hang in there a little longer."

"Is it a snake? I have a dagger in my boot. I'll pry it open from here and take a look."

When Xiao Lingfeng heard Jian Ning say it was a snake, he knew what was going on.

While speaking, he grabbed a protruding piece of flesh to steady himself, then lifted his foot and pulled a dagger out of his boot. It was a specially made military dagger, extremely sharp.

With Xiao Lingfeng's exceptional martial arts skills, he barely used any force, yet the dagger pierced deeply into the passage beside him, and then slashed it with force.

He heard no noise outside, but the place where he was standing suddenly began to convulse violently.

If Xiao Lingfeng hadn't been holding a dagger that was still stuck in the cave wall, he would have had nowhere to get a foothold.

Old Wang and Liu Gang had long since rolled around in a ball.

Hiding in the shadows, Jian Ning heard a loud bang. The dilapidated elevator door was suddenly smashed open, and then a huge python suddenly darted out and rolled around on the ground.

Behind it, another snake, slightly smaller in size but much fatter than the first, appeared to be pregnant.

Jian Ning immediately noticed that the snake on the ground had three abnormally bulging lumps on its belly, which must be the location of Xiao Lingfeng and the other two. She took out the Ruoshui Sword and struck the head of the giant python rolling on the ground.

The python was completely unprepared, preoccupied with its stomach ache. By the time it sensed danger, it was too late; Jian Ning's swordsmanship was incredibly fast.

With just one sword strike, the python's head flew off, rolling a considerable distance until it reached a corner of the wall before slowly coming to a stop.

The other snake didn't even have time to react before its companion was dead. It stared blankly at the headless python's corpse on the ground for two seconds.

With a quick turn of its large head, it found Jian Ning's direction, raised its head, opened its mouth, revealing sharp teeth, and hissed. Its body tensed up as well.

He adopted an attack stance.

"Come on, do you think I'm afraid of you?!"

Jian Ning simply stepped out from the shadows. After killing the giant python, the Ruoshui Sword had automatically flown back and was now in Jian Ning's hand, constantly emitting a cold light.

When Jian Ning approached with a flashlight, the bright light made it difficult for the python to open its eyes.

Knowing that this human was extremely dangerous, it hesitated for a moment, then turned and ran, abandoning its companion to death. That's why snakes are called cold-blooded animals; in a critical moment, they really do only look after themselves.

"Once you're here, don't leave." Jian Ning saw through its intention, and the Ruoshui Sword flew out in a flash.

No matter how the snake ran, its head was cut off in one swift motion.

Jian Ning strode over to the first python. Xiao Lingfeng had already cut open its belly with a dagger and crawled out, its body and face covered in sticky gastric juices, and it reeked of a strong, fishy stench.

Jian Ning covered her nose and used a dust removal spell on him, which made the smell in the air a little better.

"Don't worry about me, save them first." Xiao Lingfeng didn't care about his own condition.

Picking up the dagger, they continued to cut open the python's belly. Jian Ning went to help, and soon they carried out Old Wang and Liu Gang. Both of them were unconscious.

"Find a room to stay in, it's too cold here." Jian Ning checked Wang Lao's breathing with her finger; it was quite steady. He had just been frightened, but nothing serious.

"Okay, I'll go open the door." Xiao Lingfeng put Liu Gang down, walked over and took out a thin wire from his spatial storage, and quickly opened the lock on the door.

I pushed open the door and went inside. The room was a complete mess and had an unpleasant smell, but thankfully there were still beds and other necessities.
