Chapter 12 Didn’t Get on the Train (2/2)

Wang Li looked upset!

"If you don't want to leave, stay. Don't be so rude. It seems like I am harming you by bringing you along."

"Those who want to leave, pack your belongings and use your own money to sew clothes, right?"

After saying this, he walked out first, and the others followed him.

Everyone carried a big bag they had sewn themselves, one in front and another on their arm. No matter whether they were rich or poor, they didn't want to lose anything. Zhao Sanniu carried two quilts, and Han Ya insisted on carrying Wang Li's quilt and mat, which was actually a piece of oilcloth sewn under the mattress, and a small iron pot with handles hung on her waist in front. Wang Li also carried a bag with about a dozen rice dumplings, and a pound of millet and corn cakes. Everyone packed the rest separately, and there was also space for boiling water.

In this way, we rushed to the train station with big and small packages.

I looked up and my god! There were so many people, how could we have room on the train?

Wang Li said to herself: "There are so many people, can we sit down here?"

Sanniu looked ahead and said, "If there's no room to sit, you can just climb onto the roof."

Wang Li thought to herself, I don’t think I can climb up.

As Wang Li and her friends walked forward, they saw soldiers checking, as if they were looking for someone. They looked at each man for a long time and searched bags for a long time.

They were comparing the photos for a long time. The people behind didn't know what the people in front had posted, and they were just squeezing together.

Some people were pushing and shouting, "Hurry up, the money will fall, don't push."

Some people even shouted, "Hurry up, hurry up, why are you so slow?"

Suddenly, a lot of people rushed over and squeezed Wang Li so hard that she almost fell down. Han Ya grabbed Wang Li's arm anxiously.

"Aunt, I'm scared, I'm scared."

Wang Li was also scared. She couldn't see the people behind her. They were like sheep in the village. Some climbed onto the roof of the car, some grabbed the doors. Wang Li and Han Ya were pushed around and were squeezed out.

Just as I was about to take a break and walked inside, before I could recover from the swaying, the train started.

Frame block...bang, the train left. After the train left, there were still many people climbing to the top. Even Silly Girl started crying.

"Auntie, auntie, auntie, what should we do? What should we do? We have been left behind." Everyone cried.

They weren't the only two who didn't get on the bed. There were many other people nearby who hadn't gotten on the bed either. They were hanging around everywhere. One was shouting, "Hey, where are you?" and another was shouting, "Sandan, come down quickly."

Wang Li and Han Ya also went to look for people to see if the Sanniu family and the Liu family mother and son were downstairs, but they couldn't find them after searching for a long time.

Wang Li was so tired that she found a place to sit down. She thought that after all, they were all villagers and they had the strength to grow crops and climb the train. Only she and Han Ya were sitting down and were squeezed by others. On the way from Wutai to Taiyuan, it was Han Ya who drove the carriage and Wang Li was sitting, so she didn't suffer much.

I decided to go back to the hotel first. There was only one room left when I got there, so I booked it first. I also had to buy tickets. After booking the room, I took a hot shower, rested for a while, and had lunch.

I found the man who helped me buy the tickets in the afternoon.

"Wang Jizi, I didn't get on the train today. Can you change my ticket to tomorrow's?"

"It's useless if you don't get on it, ma'am. If you want to buy tomorrow's ticket, I'll ask first. The trains in Taiyuan are all requisitioned by the military, and there are very few civilian trains. There is only one train every week. I'll ask for you and tell you after I find out."

"Okay, okay, thank you. I'll give you two dollars for your errands. Thank you so much for your help." Wang Xizi turned around and smiled, then left.

In the evening, Wang Xizi knocked on the door and sat down in the room. "Madam, you haven't had any tickets in the past five days. I don't have any connections in the military. How about you try to find some connections?"
