Chapter 13 Shopping-Departure (1/2)

Wang Li thought to herself that she had no idea, so she might as well take a rest tonight and go shopping. She would buy a backpack and a small clay pot, find a small alley, go into the space and get a few pairs of chopsticks. As she was thinking, she fell asleep.

When I woke up the next day, Han Ya woke up early and said she was afraid that she didn’t sleep at night, probably because there were so many people at the train station yesterday.

"Girl, just rest in your room. I'll ask the waiter to bring you food. I'll go out and buy two backpacks. We'll follow the railway track. We'll buy cooking supplies and sell the carriage. (Actually, the carriage has been put away.)

"Aunt, I'm scared to be alone."

"After eating, go to sleep. You won't be afraid when you sleep. We can't walk without a backpack. We will starve to death if we don't have food on the road. You should take a rest."

"Yeah, damn."

After settling her child, Wang Li hailed a rickshaw at the hotel entrance, asked the driver where she could buy a backpack, and asked the driver to take her there.

Next to the market, there is a stall selling meatball soup, which smells delicious.

Wang Li got off the car and ordered a bowl, "Oh, it's really delicious."

I haven't had it since I came here. I took a bite of the meatball and slurped a mouthful of vermicelli. It was too much.

Let me talk about two things...

Liu and his son were sitting on the train, and they looked left and right but didn't recognize anyone.

"Son, what should we do? It was so crowded that we just kept moving forward and forgot about our wife. We don't know where the Sanniu family went. Without our wife, we would starve to death. When we are away from home, we don't know anything!"

Her son had already fallen asleep soundly.

The same thing happened to Zhao Sanniu. He couldn't squeeze onto the train, so he dragged his family to the top of the train. His wife was reluctant to spend the train tickets, as there were only eight silver dollars for four people.

Her daughter saw her mother like this and said, "Mom, stop nagging me. What? We have to live a hard life without my wife. I am so upset. You kept talking about going back to the village. I was afraid that my wife would not take care of us, so I didn't tell her that if you went back, you would have been killed by bandits. My wife was not here that day, and you kept talking about going back to find bandits."

"Dad, it's so cold sitting here. Please go and see where my wife is. We'll have to wait and see her after we get off the train. Without her, what will we eat and drink? The money we have is not enough to go to a big city." Sanniu's son thought he was starving to death and wanted to find his wife for a meal.

………………

Wang Li had a bowl of meatball soup and drank it, and a fried cake and ate it too. In this era, people would eat anything that was authentic.

After eating, I asked the boss for the address of the grocery store, strolled to the grocery store, and asked at the door: "Boss, do you have anything for the road?"

"Come in and take a look. Buy whatever you like."

Wang Li bought two backpacks, put them together and took them apart when she got home. The backpacks were deep and could hold a lot of things. The clay pot was good for cooking porridge, and the small iron pot was also good for cooking. She also bought chopsticks, bowls, some charcoal, which she could use when she couldn't find firewood, and two bamboo tubes to hold water.

Most of the food in the past was carried away by Sanniu. I also wanted to buy a kitchen knife for Han Ya, which could be used to cut vegetables on the road, scare off bad guys, and chop firewood. I also had to buy a small chopping board and matches. I bought two pounds of white flour. It’s better to use the salt in your own space. Now she still eats coarse-grained salt, which she doesn’t eat.

Looking back, I realized I had bought so many things that I didn't know if I could carry them all. If not, I'd better buy a donkey and follow the railway track. I definitely couldn't take a horse-drawn carriage.

"Boss, do you know where to sell donkeys?

"Ah, the livestock sellers are in the suburbs, there are fewer in the city."

"Forget it, just tell me how much it is."

It costs a lot of money, but it's really hard to spend.

I feel so bad. I have spent a lot of money recently, buying clothes, hotels, train tickets for those folks. Money is everywhere.
