Chapter 8: Going up the mountain

In the evening, Su Qingmeng could use her own pot. She simply cooked some corn porridge and fried some eggplant.

She is a good cook, but she lives alone in modern times and cannot eat takeout every day, so she cooks occasionally and makes a big meal to reward herself on her days off.

But a good cook cannot cook without rice. She only had salt and soy sauce, so the dishes she made were average. Fortunately, she ate indoors. Su Qingmeng took out a portion of spicy diced chicken, a portion of steamed cabbage with vermicelli, and a pumpkin bun for her main course. These were all made directly from the farm kitchen recipes, and they were delicious.

After eating, Su Qingmeng went into the farm to wash the bowls. The dishes on the farm all came in porcelain bowls. She poured her own dinner into the porcelain bowls and put them in the warehouse. Now that food is precious, she would do the same for the meals she didn't like.

The water in the water tank was used up, so Su Qingmeng went to the well to fetch water. It took her four buckets to fill the water tank. She then poured two buckets of water into the pot, boiled it, and poured it into the thermos and kettle to save for tomorrow's drinking.

The remaining water was used to soak her feet. Although she was going to take a shower in the space later, she had to pretend to do so outside, otherwise Zhou Wenxi might notice and think she was unhygienic.

If she brought in a basin of water every day, Zhou Wenxi would not find it strange, as soaking your feet is good for your health.

While soaking her feet, Su Qingmeng put the wheat she harvested into the workshop to produce flour. She could produce one pound of flour every two hours, which meant she could get 12 pounds of flour a day (because of the magical workshop, losses were negligible). She harvested a total of 280 pounds of wheat today and continued to plant sugarcane.
