Chapter 206 Descending the Mountain Alone

But judging from his posture, he seemed to be showing intense curiosity about me lying on the ground. Any foodie should be able to understand that look in his eyes.

Watching the little guy pacing closer and closer to Li Sisui, pretending to be dead would probably just mean he'd die anyway.

Li Sisui sat up with a jolt, shrank into the corner, and pretended to be calm as he looked at the creature in front of him. His right hand was hidden behind his back, and the chain had already been silently summoned, just waiting for the little guy to take another step closer.

The little guy didn't react much when Li Sisui turned over and sat up, but he kept probing forward with his nose, as if he had smelled something that interested him.

With a "whoosh," Li Sisui suddenly swung the chain at the little guy in front of him with his right hand hidden behind his back.

Faced with the approaching beast, Li Sisui clearly wouldn't sit idly by and wait to be killed; he had no choice but to strike first.

Imagining the slightly cute little beast in front of me being pierced by chains, I felt a little reluctant, but I had no choice but to live.

He silently comforted himself, saying, "This isn't a cute cat. Although it looks similar, how could a cat possibly exist in this world?"

The next second, Li Sisui's head seemed to be electrocuted, and it short-circuited.

The scene before him was completely beyond Li Sisui's comprehension and even beyond his imagination!

The chains, like a dragon emerging from the sea, were as imposing and swift as lightning, flying to the creature's front in the blink of an eye.

The little beast, seeing the glowing chains flying towards it, not only didn't dodge, but became extremely excited, rushed towards the chains, and bit them.

Immediately afterwards.

With a "crunch," the photon chains that Li Sisui had just condensed were eaten by the cute creature in front of him, losing several links.

Li Sisui was completely stunned as he looked at the adorable creature enjoying its food!

"This is edible? This is okay?" He was completely bewildered and had no idea what to do next.

Only after the adorable creature finished eating, still wanting more, and ran towards the remaining chains, did Li Sisui remember. She immediately retrieved the chains, clutching her right hand like a child protecting their snack from being snatched away.

Li Sisui glared angrily at the furry, unknown little beast in front of him.

My heart is bleeding: "What can I do? I'm desperate too. My strongest weapon has been eaten like cat food!"

Judging from this situation, if Li Sisui hadn't reacted quickly and retrieved most of the remaining chain, he would probably have been completely devoured.

Looking at the little animal up close, you can see that it looks quite different from a cat.

Aside from being similar in size to a cat, what I initially thought were cat ears turned out to be two protruding fleshy lumps, somewhat resembling deer antlers, but only just peeking out.

On its round head were a pair of large, round eyes. Its head was tilted, and it stared at Li Sisui with a slightly puzzled look.

Two long, white beards drooped to the ground, giving him a hint of old age.

With short, thick limbs, it looks like it's lying on the ground from a distance.

Its entire body is covered in white down, without a single blemish, pure white and translucent.

Against the backdrop of white down, his eyes appeared even darker and more expressive, as if they could speak.

Li Sisui sized up the harmless little beast in front of him, wondering how to escape.

The man and the beast stared at each other for a long time, both seeing confusion in each other's eyes.

Li Sisui noticed that the little beast hadn't moved for a long time, just staring at him without moving, as if it was waiting for something.

Thinking of the "masters" of the previous world, whose expressions usually meant they were waiting for food, a flash of inspiration struck him.

He summoned a link from the light chain and threw it far away into a corner.

After the little beast appeared from the chain, its puzzled look vanished instantly. It stared intently at the chain, watching it fly towards the corner, then turned and rushed over.

Taking advantage of the gap, Li Sisui darted out of the tree hole without looking back or caring which direction he was going, and ran as fast as he could, as if a plague god was following him.

Running at breakneck speed, pushing its limits like a headless fly.

Li Sisui didn't know how long he had been running, but he was already out of breath, so he stopped to rest by a tree.

He remained focused on observing what was behind him, holding his breath, until a long while passed and nothing seemed amiss, before finally relaxing.

It was just dawn. Li Sisui rested briefly, not daring to waste any more time, for fear of being overtaken by the little beast behind him again. He looked up at the sun's position and began to head towards the mission location.

I just want to get to the mission location as soon as possible, complete the mission, and return to the sect immediately. I don't want to linger outside for even a moment longer.

Li Sisui, who had just become somewhat confident in his cultivation, vanished instantly upon encountering the little beast.

Seeing such a small creature silently approaching, it was fortunate that it had no appetite for it, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable.

The outside world is ultimately too crazy, with too many unknowns. Even if you have extraordinary cultivation, you still have to be cautious and timid.

We've only been away from the sect for a short time, and such an unimaginable thing has already happened. What other unknown things exist on this land?

Li Si followed the road forward, and it took him another hour to reach the vicinity of the mission location.

As they rushed along, the light screen around Li Sixui's hands and feet dimmed considerably, making it unlikely that he could return to the clan in one go.

If he hadn't been frightened by the small animal, Li Sisui wouldn't have been in such a hurry to complete the mission.

Hiding in the tree, eating the dry rations in his hand, he pondered the route back. After finishing his meal, he decided to quickly pick the flowers of the Wei Gui grass.

After that, they need to find a secluded place to recover their cultivation, and return to the sect the next day.

After finishing his meal, Li Sisui lay down on a tree to take a short nap. Before he could fall asleep for long, he heard several cries for help accompanied by barking dogs not far away.
