That day, Zhao Xiaofei clarified some legal questions and met his company's accountant, a woman nearing retirement. She seemed shrewd and dedicated. Regarding HR, he called to say he was looking for someone and planned to meet at a cafe. So Zhao Xiaofei didn't see him.

A local man came up to Zhao Xiaofei. He looked dark and thin, with a fierce look in his eyes. He said in broken Chinese, "Are you Jiang Di's brother-in-law?"
