Chapter 35 Return to Beijing
Jiang Di's hands were shaking. Zhao Xiaofei knew his brother-in-law wanted to rush over, but where was this? This was someone else's territory. He gave Lao Wang a look, and Lao Wang understood. The two of them, one on each side, walked out. Jiang Di wanted to shout, but Zhao Xiaofei covered his mouth with his hand.
The two men took him into the car as if he were kidnapping. After the car started, Lao Wang let go. Jiang Di yelled, "Why don't you let me settle the score with her?"
"You bastard! This is someone else's territory! If you want to die, I won't stop you. If you have the guts, don't drag me down with you! This money is for my wedding with your sister. Go back and explain to your sister!" Zhao Xiaofei scolded while driving.
When Zhao Xiaofei mentioned her sister, Jiang Di immediately lost interest. They left northern Myanmar overnight. Arriving in Tengchong, Zhao Xiaofei and Lao Wang said goodbye and took Jiang Di on the plane.
Four hours later, the plane landed. Zhao Xiaofei immediately found a deserted place and called Jiang Xiaomei.
"Hey! Honey, I'm back!"
"Okay! Then come to the company quickly! The property certificate has been obtained, and I've also found a shop I'd like. We can sell jewelry and Ming Dynasty furniture there in the future, which is perfect."
"You're the one who decides everything about the store! I'm going to go home and see my mom first. Hey! Guess who I met on the plane?"
"Who is it? I can't guess!"
"Your brother! He got dumped! I think he'll behave himself this time, but he squandered all the money you lent him."
"You're right, this is like throwing meat buns at a dog and there's no turning back."
"It's okay! Let him learn this lesson! I'll be back soon! Hang up!"
After hanging up the phone, Zhao Xiaofei came out, and Jiang Di immediately leaned over and asked, "Brother-in-law! What did you say to my sister?"
"I told you you were dumped and you spent all her money. She said you should learn this lesson!" Zhao Xiaofei said as he walked. Jiang Di followed behind.
"Thank you, brother-in-law! I will work hard in the future and try to return the money to you as soon as possible!" said Jiang Di.
Zhao Xiaofei ignored him and went to the parking lot and got into the Warrior car. Jiang Di followed him in, and Zhao Xiaofei said coldly, "Get out!"
"No, brother-in-law! How can I get down?" Jiang Di asked in confusion.
"I told you to get off!" Zhao Xiaofei shouted loudly.
"Brother-in-law! What's wrong with you?" Before Jiang Di could finish his words, Zhao Xiaofei kicked him out of the car. Then he closed the door and drove away. Jiang Di chased after him, and he shouted, "Don't go! I don't have any money in my pocket!"
He kept walking until he could no longer hear Jiang Di's voice. He slowed down and drove home. He was really annoyed with Jiang Di. When they played together before, he didn't think there was anything wrong with him. The two of them had a good time together, but this time he really saw what a brainless person was.
Or maybe that woman was just too deceptive. How could a gaming geek like Jiang Di resist the allure of her beauty and sweet talk? But no matter how pretty she was, you'd know her true colours once she took you to the casino. Just sleeping with you a few times, and you've lost your way? The more I think about it, the angrier I get! I'm just going to give it up.
When I got home, my mother Liu Aiping was cleaning the house and mopping the floor. When she heard the door lock click, she hurried out to check.
As soon as Zhao Xiaofei entered the door, he shouted, "Mom! I'm back!"
"You kid still remember to come back?" Liu Aiping said.
Zhao Xiaofei smiled and said, "Aren't you back now that you're done? Where's my brother?"
"Your brother said he has nothing to do today and he will be back early. Let's have dinner together tonight!" Liu Aiping said.
"Okay! Let's eat together tonight. Mom! Don't clean up! I'll take you somewhere." Zhao Xiaofei said.
"Where?" Liu Aiping asked.
"I just bought a villa! The property certificate came down today. I'll take you to see it," Zhao Xiaofei said. He hoped his achievements would make his mother proud.
"Alright! Let's see how big a business my son, a big boss, can build!" Liu Aiping said with a smile. She hoped her son would have a bright future, but it all happened so suddenly. The son who used to need her care and concern was gone. She felt a sense of discomfort.
After leaving home with his mother, Zhao Xiaofei started the car and drove straight to his villa. Liu Aiping sniffed the car and said, "What's that smell in the car?"
"It smells like medicinal herbs! We started using this car to deliver medicine to the pet hospital! That's why there's a bit of a smell!" Zhao Xiaofei said nonsense.
"Your company sells veterinary drugs? How much money can you make? You should cooperate with a pig farm or a chicken farm." Liu Aiping gave her son some advice.
"That was in the past. My company has now switched to furniture, jewelry, and antique calligraphy and paintings," said Zhao Xiaofei.
"This has nothing to do with your previous job!" said Liu Aiping.
Zhao Xiaofei didn't answer. He was concentrating on finding his own villa. He was not familiar with his neighborhood, and the villas around him were all similar.
Liu Aiping asked, "Why are you moving around like this?"
"Did you forget which building? Wait a minute!" Zhao Xiaofei said and then called Jiang Xiaomei.
"Hello! Xiaomei, I forgot which building our home is in. I couldn't find it after searching for a long time." Zhao Xiaofei asked.
"Building 15! Auntie's here?" Jiang Xiaomei knew that when Zhao Xiaofei called her "Xiaomei," it was usually when someone was around. And she figured, since buying a house was such a big deal, Zhao Xiaofei must have brought his mother to check it out. Maybe his older brother would come back too.
"Here I come! Come here quickly! I'm hanging up!" said Zhao Xiaofei.
"Mom! We are number 15!" Zhao Xiaofei said happily.
Zhao Xiaofei finally found his house. Liu Aiping got out of the car and was very excited to see the villa with a garden in front of her. She also felt a sense of accomplishment that her son could live in such a big house.
