Fu Junheng's hot, moist breath fell on Mu Chenshuang's ear like countless thorns pricking her skin, making her shiver all over.
"Shuang'er, are you shy?"
Mu Chenshuang's eyes were deep and serious. "You intend to talk to me like this, completely naked?"
Fu Junheng smiled and said, "That's not impossible."
Mu Chenshuang said in a deep voice, "Go and put your clothes on quickly."
Fu Junheng did not continue to tease her.
Two servants then entered and helped Fu Junheng get dressed. Mu Chenshuang sat on a chair by the hot spring pool, picked up a teacup, and took a sip of the hot water.
Fu Junheng, impeccably dressed, strode in. Mu Chenshuang looked up at him; he wore a tea-white robe, possessing an ethereal and divine bearing, with bright, clear eyes, delicate eyebrows, and a high, straight nose. Beneath his thin, rosy lips were slightly pursed; his face seemed meticulously sculpted.
At this moment, there was no trace of the thuggishness he had shown just moments before.
Fu Junheng met Mu Chenshuang's direct gaze, stopped and stood in front of her, bent down, one hand on the back of the chair and the other on the edge of the coffee table, completely enveloping Mu Chenshuang, his silver hair hanging down, his gaze fixed on her with deep intensity.
"Shuang'er, when you stare at me like that, I feel like you like me even more."
Mu Chenshuang met his gaze without any hesitation, her eyes clear and bright. "Handsome and handsome, with such rare beauty as Crown Prince Junheng, how could I not take another look?"
Fu Junheng smiled slightly, withdrew one hand, lifted the woman's chin, and kissed her directly.
A lingering, deep kiss, an air of ambiguity filling the air.
After releasing Mu Chenshuang, Fu Junheng lifted her up and placed her on his lap, looking at her. "It's rare for Shuang'er to come to me today. What do you want to tell me?"
Mu Chenshuang looked at him. "There is indeed something I want to ask you."
Fu Junheng, "Ask away!"
"Has His Majesty discussed the Xiling mines with you so far?"
Fu Junheng's expression changed slightly. "We haven't received any news from the palace yet. Why does Shuang'er suddenly want to ask about this?"
"I'm actually quite curious to know how long you plan to drag this out?" Mu Chenshuang's tone was unusually serious, and the question "how long to drag this out" seemed to be asking a question with another layer of meaning.
Fu Junheng lowered his eyes slightly and asked in return, "Then, Shuang'er, are you willing to come with me?"
"I'm sure you've seen through the Marquis's affairs. Do you think I'd go with you at this time?"
"So I will wait until everything is settled for you before I take you away."
The words were spoken.
Silence fell over the surroundings.
Their eyes met, their gazes locked in a deep, unfathomable exchange.
a long time.
Mu Chenshuang parted her thin lips and slowly spoke, "I only ask you one question: Do you have people in the imperial court?"
Fu Junheng stated directly, "No!"
There seemed to be no hesitation in his eyes, direct and sincere. He added self-deprecatingly, "I don't have that much ability yet."
Mu Chenshuang was unsure whether to believe him or not, but judging from the current situation, it seemed that someone else was in control of the entire court.
"I know you're worried about the Marquis's affairs right now, Shuang'er. Retiring after achieving your goals is the best choice for the Marquis. It's best not to be swayed by those who are trying to suppress others. You need to see who is actually supporting him. The court is in chaos. The two factions you see may be the same people, just trying to confuse the emperor and disrupt his judgment. Only the Marquis himself is clear-headed and understands what he truly wants."
Fu Junheng's words instantly brought Mu Chenshuang to her senses.
"You know about the Xishuangying incident?"
"Know."
"The newly dispatched commander is from the Chengtian Guardian Army. He wants to redefine the rules, which has caused a conflict. What can you deduce from this?"
