Chapter 50: It's really hard not to like Lin Xingche like this.

As the sun gradually set, the evening glow painted half the sky crimson, turning it a vibrant orange-red, and bathing everything in the amusement park in a warm, gentle glow.

The amusement park was emptying out; most of the rides had closed, staff were packing up, and the faint sounds of farewells drifted from afar.

Lu Jinyuan answered a phone call. Before leaving, he gave Su Jiaojiao a deep look, his possessiveness almost overflowing, but he forcefully suppressed it when their eyes met, then turned and strode away.

Without Lu Jinyuan's disturbance, the surrounding air became quiet and gentle.

Lin Xingche held Su Jiaojiao's hand and walked slowly along the path in the amusement park.

The boy's hands were warm and dry, the calluses on his palms brushing against the back of her hand, causing a slightly ticklish sensation. Their shadows, stretched long by the setting sun, overlapped, seemingly inseparable.

"Sister, are you happy today?"

Lin Xingche couldn't help but tilt his head and ask, his voice carrying a hint of barely perceptible anticipation, despite the many mishaps that had occurred during the day on the roller coaster and slide.

Su Jiaojiao turned her head and looked into his bright eyes, eyes that held the light of the sunset and also reflected her image.

She nodded earnestly, her voice so gentle it could melt your heart:

"I'm so happy, today is the happiest day of my life!"

Upon hearing this, Lin Xingche's eyes instantly lit up as if they were studded with stars. He grinned, revealing two sharp little tiger teeth, looking both cute and endearing.

"As long as you're happy!"

He chuckled, as if he had remembered some treasure, and quickly let go of Su Jiaojiao's hand. He took out a beautifully packaged little box from his backpack and carefully handed it to her.

"Sister, this is for you."

Su Jiaojiao took the box, her fingertips touching the cool surface. She gently lifted the lid, and inside lay a bracelet.

The chain is a delicate silver color, with a strawberry-shaped pendant strung on it. Its soft pink hue and fine engravings make it look exceptionally exquisite and adorable.

On the back of the pendant, a small character "澈" is engraved. The handwriting is crooked, but it conveys a deep sense of sincerity.

"I made this myself."

Lin Xingche's cheeks flushed instantly. He scratched his head somewhat embarrassedly, and his voice lowered a few decibels.

"It took me a long time to learn, and I wore out several molds before I finally made this one. I don't know if you'll like it."

Su Jiaojiao picked up the bracelet and gently put it on her wrist.

The size was just right, as if it had been tailor-made for her.

The pink strawberry pendant shimmered softly in the afterglow of the setting sun, making her wrist appear even whiter and more slender.

"I love so much"

Su Jiaojiao raised her hand, looked at the bracelet on her wrist, and smiled, her eyes crinkling with laughter.

"Thank you, Xingche."

"If you like it, that's good!"

Lin Xingche's eyes lit up even more. He looked at the bracelet on Su Jiaojiao's wrist, and his heart felt as sweet as if it were filled with honey.

Unbeknownst to anyone, he had secretly added a tiny locator to the bracelet, so small it was almost invisible, cleverly hidden inside the strawberry pendant.

That way, he can know immediately wherever his sister goes.

That way, he can better protect his sister.

Lin Xingche thought to himself, a barely perceptible hint of obsession flashing in his eyes—a burning yet hidden protective instinct unique to young people.

But he dared not let Su Jiaojiao know.

He was afraid that Su Jiaojiao would be angry and feel that he didn't trust her.

He could only protect her silently in this clumsy way.

As the sun gradually sets and night slowly falls...

One by one, the streetlights in the amusement park lit up, their warm yellow glow spreading out and illuminating the entire path, stretching the two shadows even longer.

Lin Xingche took Su Jiaojiao's hand again and slowly walked towards the entrance of the amusement park.

A gentle evening breeze, carrying the faint scents of flowers and grass, caressed their cheeks, as soft and tender as a handful of cotton.

Su Jiaojiao looked down at the strawberry bracelet on her wrist, feeling a warm glow in her heart.

This boy, though a bit naive and stubborn, always treated her kindly in the purest way possible.

It's really hard not to like Lin Xingche like this.

The car slowly drove away from the amusement park and headed towards the city center.
