Chapter 47 Starry Sky

Chapter 47 Starry Sky

He took a bottle of warm water from his backpack, unscrewed the cap, and held it to her lips.

Gentle and considerate actions

Su Jiaojiao took a sip of water, calmed herself down, and shook her head with a smile:

"I'm fine, thank you, Xingche."

"Don't be so polite with me!"

Lin Xingche chuckled, then took out a pack of tissues from his backpack and carefully wiped the sweat from her forehead. His fingertips occasionally touched her skin, causing her to recoil as if electrocuted, then blush and lower her head.

Su Jiaojiao couldn't help but laugh when she saw his expression.

In the next few hours

Lin Xingche dragged her to try all the rides in the amusement park.

They went to the haunted house. Lin Xingche was terrified himself, but he still protected her tightly and made the staff dressed as ghosts too fierce to approach.

They went to the Ice and Snow World. Lin Xingche, worried she was cold, took off his thick coat and gave it to her, even putting her hands in his pockets to warm them. They went on the bumper cars, and Lin Xingche deliberately let her win, getting bumped around and staggered, but he laughed like a fool.

As noon approached, the sun grew stronger and stronger.

Su Jiaojiao's stomach also started rumbling.

Lin Xingche immediately pulled her towards the food stall:

"Sister! I'll take you to eat cotton candy! The cotton candy at that place is huge and super sweet! I already pre-ordered it from the owner!"

They walked up to a cotton candy stall. The stall owner was a kind old man who immediately greeted Lin Xingche with a smile when he saw him.

"Xiao Che is here! The strawberry marshmallows you ordered are ready!"

The old man took out a huge cotton candy, as big as Su Jiaojiao's face, pink and tender, with a sweet strawberry scent.

Lin Xingche paid and carefully accepted the cotton candy.

It was brought to Su Jiaojiao's lips:

"Sister, try some! It's super sweet!"

Su Jiaojiao took a bite, and the sweetness of the cotton candy melted in her mouth. It was sweet but not cloying, so delicious that she squinted her eyes.

Lin Xingche looked at her satisfied expression

His amber eyes were filled with tiny sparkles. Without thinking, he leaned in and took a big bite of the spot where Su Jiaojiao had bitten him.

The sweetness of the cotton candy exploded on his tongue, and Lin Xingche's eyes lit up. He subconsciously exclaimed:

Wow, this is really delicious!

Only after he finished speaking did he belatedly realize what he had done.

The boy's cheeks flushed bright red in an instant.

A blush spread from his ears all the way down his neck, even tingling the tips with an alluring pink. He still clutched the cotton candy they had shared, his fingers stiff, his eyes darting away, avoiding Su Jiaojiao's gaze, mumbling an explanation:

"I...I didn't mean to, I just suddenly wanted to try it..."

And Su Jiaojiao when Lin Xingche took that bite

He froze completely.

The warmth seemed to linger on the surface of the marshmallow, and the sensation of the boy's lips accidentally brushing against it still lingered. She could clearly feel her cheeks rapidly warming up, her heart pounding wildly in her chest, and even her ears burning hot.

She instinctively turned her head.

She dared not look at Lin Xingche's embarrassed and helpless appearance, her gaze darting nervously to the slowly turning Ferris wheel not far away, her voice trembling almost imperceptibly:

"Xingche, shall we go ride the Ferris wheel?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Xingche nodded immediately, as if grasping at a lifeline, his voice still a little unsteady:

"OK!"

He hurriedly handed the cotton candy back to Su Jiaojiao, then, as if afraid she might change her mind, carefully took her wrist and ran quickly towards the Ferris wheel.

The boy's steps were hurried, and the warmth of his palms seeped through the thin fabric of her clothes, carrying a hint of burning heat. Su Jiaojiao was pulled along by him, her skirt fluttering slightly in the wind. The slight panic in her heart slowly subsided into a soft feeling amidst the boy's slightly clumsy movements.

[Host! Lin Xingche almost exploded on the spot just now!]

Tuanzi was trying really hard to hold back her laughter.

[Before leaving home, he even looked up "100 things to keep in mind when dating a girl you like," one of which was "Never eat the same food as a girl," but he broke that rule himself!]

Su Jiaojiao's cheeks flushed even more.

She stole a glance at the boy beside her; his ears were still bright red, but his eyes were fixed on the Ferris wheel ahead. He slowed his pace, as if afraid that walking too fast would tire her out.

That idiot

Su Jiaojiao's lips couldn't help but curve into a slight smile.

The line for the Ferris wheel wasn't long, and they didn't have to wait long before it was their turn.

Lin Xingche stepped into the sedan chair first, then helped Su Jiaojiao in, carefully dusting off the dust inside before letting her sit down.

The gondola slowly rose, gradually moving upwards, and the scenery of the amusement park unfolded little by little in the process.

Looking down from above, the carousel appears as a colorful disc.

The roller coaster track resembled a giant silver dragon, while wisps of smoke rose from the food stalls, and the bustling crowds all became tiny, adorable shadows.

A breeze blew in through the open window, carrying a faint scent of grass, brushing against Su Jiaojiao's hair and Lin Xingche's cheek.

The boy leaned against the window, his gaze fixed on the scenery outside. His long eyelashes cast a soft shadow beneath his eyelids, and the lines of his profile were gentle and clean.

Looking at his profile, Su Jiaojiao suddenly felt an extraordinary sense of peace.

The elevator car rose higher and higher, farther and farther from the ground, and sunlight streamed through the glass, bathing the two of them in a warm golden glow.

Lin Xingche's gaze, however, unconsciously...

The view outside the window shifted to Su Jiaojiao's face.

He gazed at her slightly upturned profile, at the golden tips of her hair bathed in sunlight, at the faint smile on her lips, and his heart felt as if it had been gently struck by something, a soft and tingling sensation.

The feeling of liking is like a wildly growing vine.

It instantly occupied his entire heart.
