A delicious meal was turned into a simple meal of porridge and side dishes, and Zhang Youyou couldn't even complain. It was truly frustrating.
Li Donghao didn't eat; he just had a pot of tea in front of him, taking small sips occasionally, but spending most of the time watching her.
Although the two were familiar with each other, no one would be comfortable being stared at like that, so Zhang Youyou asked sullenly while picking up food with her head down, "Why are you staring at me?"
Li Donghao smiled slightly and said honestly, "I feel like he's not quite the same person as last night."
Zhang Youyou's face flushed red instantly. She gently poked at the food in her bowl with her chopsticks, and said stiffly, "I was just confused last night!"
"And today? Are you sober?"
“I…” Zhang Youyou hated herself for being so tongue-tied.
"Just kidding, eat up!" Li Donghao didn't dare to anger her, otherwise he would be in deep trouble if the little princess got angry.
To avoid an awkward atmosphere, Li Donghao took the initiative to change the subject, asking her why she asked about the house, which improved Zhang Youyou's mood.
"It's nothing, I just want to see if there are any good apartment layouts so I can buy one."
"So what kind of apartment do you want? A flat or a large single-level apartment?" Li Donghao poured himself a cup of tea. "Where do you want to buy it?"
Zhang Youyou originally only wanted to buy a small two-bedroom apartment for herself, but after hearing what he said, she suddenly made an outrageous demand, "It would be best if we could buy a villa, but it's still a bit short!" Zhang Youyou raised her left hand and made a money-counting gesture.

"No?"
"Okay! Then tell me why you want to buy a house?"
Finally getting down to business, Zhang Youyou, holding her chopsticks, looked at him seriously and said, "I don't want to live with my parents."
I didn't expect this answer, but thinking about it, it makes sense. She spends most of her time at the Li family's house, so how could she possibly get used to living with her parents? But is it a bit frivolous to buy a house just because of this?
He wanted to correct her, but seeing her expression, Li Donghao knew that she had thought this through carefully, so he didn't dare to refute her. Instead, he asked her where she wanted to buy it? Here or in F City?
"Here it is," Zhang Youyou said. "I don't know where I will stay in the future, but my parents and grandfather are here, so I will probably come back here a lot of time, so this is my first choice."

"So if you stay in F city or go to another city after graduation, what do you plan to do? Will you buy a house or rent one there?"
Zhang Youyou shook her head.
"I haven't thought about it yet. I don't know where I'll be developing my career in the future, but no matter where I go, I'll still be coming back here most of the time, so I definitely need to have a house here. As for the future, I can save up and buy a house after I decide where to settle down."
He really is an idealist and a pragmatist.
Li Donghao knew she was determined, so he didn't stop her. Instead, he talked to her about things to note when buying a house. He thought she would take it seriously, but she got annoyed after hearing the second point and waved her hand to continue eating her egg.
Li Donghao could understand Zhang Youyou's thoughts, but he dared not support her in the current situation. However, since she did not want to live with her parents, he had a house here that she could live in. But could she live alone?
She has been taken care of by someone since she was a child. Even when she went to university, he was there to look after her. If she were to live alone, not only would Grandpa Li and Zhang's parents be worried, but even he wouldn't feel at ease. So, she either has to stay with the Li family or live with the Zhang family. If she goes to his place, he will have to go with her.
