The guardian monster's gaze grew increasingly intense, and its aura surged forth like waves, suddenly reaching out at an incredible speed.
The oppressive aura was so strong it seemed to tear the air apart, and the entire space trembled slightly.
Lin Yi felt a chill run down his spine. He quickly focused his mind and flicked his finger, causing a spatial rift to open in his palm.
"Attention everyone, prepare to defend! It's about to unleash a powerful attack!" Lin Yi's shout echoed through the air, his voice carrying an undeniable sense of urgency.
Before the words were finished, a strange smile appeared on the monster's lips, and a chilling laugh rang in my ears, like a sob in the night wind.
"Welcome to my world..." Before the monster could finish speaking, the surrounding space suddenly distorted, as if pulled by an invisible force, and ripples spread across the void.
Whitebeard, Long Wu, Chu Yao, and even Lin Yi himself felt a dizzying sensation, as if they had been sucked into a completely unfamiliar dimension.
Lin Yi's heart stirred, and the power of spacetime within his body surged forth like a spring. He quickly used spacetime teleportation, and his body instantly disappeared from the spot, appearing behind the monster.
The monster's attack missed and did not hit anyone, but the terrifying shockwave continued to rage in the air, shattering the surrounding walls.
"This monster's defense is too strong. We must find its weakness!" Lin Yi quickly analyzed the situation, his eyes scanning the monster back and forth.
Suddenly, he noticed an unusual area on the monster's abdomen. Although it was small, its color was darker than the other parts.
This must be the monster's weakness.
"Long Wu, focus your attacks on the monster's abdomen!" Lin Yi immediately commanded.
Upon hearing this, Long Wu roared, clenched his fists, and exuded a suffocating dragon aura as he punched the monster in the abdomen.
"Take this, Dragon's Regret!" Long Wu's fist struck the monster's weak point instantly, like a shooting star.
The monster's body was jolted back several steps, roaring and writhing in pain.
Upon seeing this, Lin Yi immediately unleashed the Space-Time Slash, a radiant sword aura shooting out from his hand and striking the monster's abdomen like lightning.
"Time-Space Slash!" The sword energy struck the target, tearing a deep wound in the monster's abdomen, from which blood gushed out like a fountain.
Chu Yao wasn't idle either. She quickly analyzed the monster's attack patterns, and commands were rapidly transmitted into Lin Yi and Long Wu's minds.
"Target locked, energy injection, fire!" Chu Yao's voice was calm and firm. Beams of energy shot out from her hands, like the scythe of death, constantly reaping the monster's life points.
The monster's defenses gradually crumbled, and its movements became increasingly sluggish, clearly indicating that it had reached its limit.
Whitebeard didn't miss the opportunity either. Holding a heavy sword and surrounded by fighting spirit, he rushed forward and swung his sword fiercely at the monster's vital parts.
Wherever the sword passed, the air was torn apart. The monster was struck by the sword and let out a shrill scream, its body swaying precariously.
"One more strike!" Whitebeard roared, swinging his sword again. This time, the blade carried a powerful armor-piercing ability, piercing through the monster's defenses and embedding itself in its body.
The monster's struggles grew increasingly feeble. Finally, it let out a desperate howl, its body exploding into countless fragments and vanishing into nothingness.
"Well done!" Lin Yi smiled and patted Long Wu on the shoulder.
Long Wu's face was somewhat pale, but his eyes were filled with the excitement and satisfaction of the battle.
Chu Yao smiled slightly, patted her rapidly beating chest, and the white-bearded man also breathed a sigh of relief as his fighting spirit gradually subsided.
The four of them exchanged a smile and then continued deeper into the "Forgotten City".
Passing through layers of mist, they arrived at a room that appeared ordinary yet was filled with a mysterious atmosphere.
In the center of the room, on an ancient stone table, lay several scrolls of documents emitting a faint glow and an old map.
Lin Yi stepped forward and carefully opened one of the scrolls. It was covered with ancient runes, and although some of the characters were blurred, the information was still legible.
The document details the specifics and key locations of the "Ragnarok" plan, which appears to be a selection mechanism of an advanced civilization, with the "Forgotten City" being a crucial node in it.
"The information on this document is absolutely crucial!" Lin Yi said with a hint of excitement as he quickly reviewed the contents of the document in his mind.
"It seems we're getting closer to the truth." Chu Yao's voice was gentle yet firm as she carefully studied the documents and maps.
"It seems we're really about to uncover the hidden truth of this world," Long Wu said confidently, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Whitebeard nodded and said in a deep voice, "I hope so. However, we are certainly not at the end yet, and the road ahead will probably be even more difficult."
"Let's take it one step at a time. As long as we work together, there's nothing we can't overcome," Lin Yi said firmly, looking at everyone.
Just then, a slight sound came from the corner of the room, and several dark figures moved around in the corner.
Lin Yi became alert and immediately gripped his sword tightly, his gaze sharp as an eagle's.
“You’ve come…” A deep, cold voice echoed in the room, as if from another world.
Lin Yi gripped the hilt of his sword and said in a deep voice, "We expected you to come, Night Owl."
At the same time, dozens of black figures emerged from the shadows and surrounded them.
(Continued from the previous article)
As Lin Yi pondered what exactly this "Ragnarok" plan was, and whether it involved some kind of shady "secret deal" with those old guys from Norse mythology, Long Wu was already rubbing his hands together, his face flushed with excitement, practically ready to announce on the spot, "The truth is right before my eyes, I'm about to take off!"
Miss Chu Yao gently ran her fingertips over the ancient map, while the data stream in her eyes flashed rapidly, as if it were running at eight times the speed. She was clearly frantically backing up and analyzing the data on the spot, practically a walking supercomputer.
The old man with the white beard remained the most composed. stroking his signature beard, he earnestly reminded everyone: "Hey, you young folks, don't just get carried away with the fun. As the old saying goes, fortune may bring misfortune..."
His words were like a flag, barely raised before a tiny, yet incredibly jarring, crackle sound, like someone scratching a blackboard with their fingernails, suddenly exploded in the corner of the room without warning!
The sound was faint, but to Lin Yi and his companions, who had just experienced a fierce battle and whose nerves were still taut like strings, it was more frightening than firecrackers going off right next to their ears!
"Who?!" Lin Yi turned his head around almost instinctively, his eyes widening and his pupils shrinking to pinpoints!
In that corner where there was nothing before, the space was now bubbling and violently twisting and boiling like a boiling pot. Several strange shadows, black as if splashed with ink and of indescribable shape, burst out of the distorted void like fish that had escaped the net.
A chilling, nauseating stench, tinged with a hint of rust, instantly enveloped me, making me feel utterly disgusted.
"Holy crap! What the hell?! Is it haunted?!" Long Wu jumped three feet high in fright. His previous excitement of "I have the world at my feet" vanished instantly. His true dragon bloodline almost automatically protected him on the spot, and the hairs on his body stood on end.
In the blink of an eye, almost at the same time as Long Wu's strange cry, similar dark cracks began to appear on all sides of the room, whether it was the walls, the ceiling or the broken stone slabs under their feet!
The sizzling sounds blended together, like a death knell, making people's hearts race with unease.
Immediately afterwards, figures flashing with an ominous purplish-black aura emerged from the cracks like dumplings being dropped into a pot.
These things look incredibly abstract and postmodern. Some resemble mantises that have come to life standing up, their two large scythe-like forearms gleaming with a sly, cold metallic light. Others are simply wriggling, deformed black shadows with two red dots flashing around, presumably their eyes. Still others are even more outrageous, being nothing more than a distorted mass of energy, emitting intense spatial fluctuations that clearly indicate they are no pushovers.
In the blink of an eye, at least dozens of these strangely shaped "uninvited guests" had filled the entire room to the brim, forming a dense, dark mass that completely surrounded Lin Yi and his three companions. It was so dense that not even a mosquito could possibly escape.
That chaotic and malicious aura from another dimension surged in like a tide, so thick and sticky that it felt like falling into an ice-cold swamp, making it difficult to even breathe.
"Tsk, good heavens, this spectacle, anyone who didn't know better would think some deity descended to earth to walk the red carpet." Lin Yi's lips twitched, revealing a playful sneer, but his hand subconsciously tightened its grip on the cool [Time-Space Blade].
He keenly sensed that the energy fluctuations emanating from these suddenly appearing guys were far stronger than those of the giant, dumb guardian monster from before, and... their numbers were just too overwhelming!
It's obvious they're planning a group fight!
"Looks like that bastard Night Owl really isn't going to let us have a moment's peace." Lin Yi lowered his voice, his eyes sharp as knives, and the spacetime power within his body was already boiling like water, ready to give these guys a "surprise" at any moment.
"Cheer up, everyone! Stop slacking off, this is a real team fight, get ready for the storm!"
The air seemed to freeze, filled with a suffocating feeling of impending storm.
Swords clashed, and a fight was imminent.
Faced with this sudden and desperate situation, can they fight their way out?
