Jiang Shuyun could tell that, more than the matter of time travel, the fact that she had three children was devastating to this woman; she was completely stunned.
"Oh, mother-in-law? What mother-in-law? You're married?"
"Wake up, Mu Yi'an! Cheer up! At this rate, we won't even last one episode. You'll be dead after three minutes on screen!"
Jiang Shuyun was about to explode. He never imagined that in his lifetime, a child would call him "Dad"—no, "father."
"How can I stay calm? You don't need to take care of the children; it's all my responsibility. Can you imagine having two little ones following behind me, one in my arms, and something happening all the time, plus breastfeeding!"
"Okay, okay, I know, I know. I'll help you. I'll help you take care of the kids and do housework. If I don't know how, I'll learn. If I can't do it openly, I'll do it secretly. I won't let you fight this battle alone."
Jiang Shuyun was about to raise his hand and swear that he felt he had spoken more in less than half a day than he had in the previous year. Of course, this excludes the time he spent lecturing to students in class.
"Let's go back first. My chest hurts, my head hurts, my hands hurt, my whole body hurts. When we get there, you can cover for me. I'm not thinking straight right now, I'm completely dazed."
"Okay, be careful how you address people. You should call them 'father' and 'mother,' but don't call them 'Mom and Dad.'"
Jiang Shuyun felt like he might have hit his head, otherwise, how could he have accepted it so quickly and said so much? He really couldn't understand it.
Forget it, if I can't figure it out, I won't think about it. His motto has always been to take it one step at a time and not worry about tomorrow.
Having gathered everything and placed it in a basket, Jiang Shuyun carried the basket and headed back along the route she remembered. Mu Yi'an followed behind like a puppet, her head throbbing and her mind completely blank.
"Hopefully we can get through this. We can figure out the rest later. We can't let ourselves be held back by our own desires."
The scenery along the way has been beautiful, the weather has been pleasant, and my mood has gradually improved. The challenge is about to begin.
