Will Chapter 4 expose us?

Perhaps it was because Jiang Shuyun was a man and older that he wasn't as flustered in the face of adversity. Or perhaps it was because he had experienced the fear of death and the excruciating pain of being shattered to pieces, and felt that he had gotten the better end of the world, that he was able to accept it so quickly and even take care of the emotionally distraught Mu Yi'an. He also understood that compared to his previous life, this era was truly unfriendly to women.

"Are you calmer now?"

"Hmm, much better, but my head is still a bit foggy. Where did the original two go? What kind of fate awaits them? In any case, I hope they can have a different destiny and not disappear into the vast universe."

Although Mu Yi'an complained to God, she still hoped that the original two people could live, even if they were unwilling to live.

"Yes, although it's hard to explain, I think we were swept away by a mysterious force and taken to different time tunnels. Perhaps, at that moment, different people were forced into the gears of fate."

"I hope so. You hold on for now, I'll try my best to stay alert. I suspect I might have a concussion, I feel really dizzy."

"It's alright. We'll fight side by side from now on. We can't let ourselves starve to death."

Jiang Shuyun's words lacked confidence, as he didn't know many things, especially in terms of life skills.

He grew up in a wealthy family, never experiencing hardship, and always had everything done for him. Although his parents were often absent from his life, he never lacked material things. He had his grandparents with him when he was young, and later, as he grew up and became wealthy, he lived a truly carefree life.

"Let's go, Jiangjia Village is not far ahead. Don't say anything for a while, I'll handle it."

Jiang Shuyun felt uneasy. Although he hadn't reached the level of being autistic before, he was indeed socially anxious and really bad at interpersonal relationships.

"Well, let's play it by ear."

As Mu Yi'an recovered somewhat, her indomitable spirit reawakened. For so many years, she had been working hard on her own and had never developed a habit of relying on others.

"Young Scholar Jiang, what's wrong?"

As soon as they reached the village entrance, villagers spotted the young scholar and his wife.

"My wife accidentally slipped down the slope and got a minor injury; she hit her head."

Jiang Shuyun couldn't recall any information about this person in her mind, so she didn't address him, but instead replied in the original owner's tone. In her memory, the original owner was also introverted, didn't talk much, and had basically no social life except for reading, which matched his personality.

"Then hurry back. Do you need to see a doctor? Doctor Wu just came down from the mountain."

"Then I'll trouble you to make the trip. I'll take my wife back first; she's feeling very dizzy."

Jiang Shuyun was also worried that Mu Yi'an might have really hit his head, so it would be safer to have a doctor take a look.

Traditional Chinese medicine is profound and reliable.

The Jiang family's house is located in the eastern part of the village. It occupies a considerable area and was inherited from their ancestors, having been renovated several times since.

The main house has five rooms, with three wing rooms on each side. The front yard is quite large, and there is also a back yard. The adjacent yard is Jiang's father's school, which is also quite spacious.

The side rooms on either side of the main gate were added later and look newer.

Jiang Shuyun helped Mu Yi'an slowly push open the door and enter the courtyard, feeling uneasy, wondering who they would run into.

"Shuyun, what's wrong? Why does your second daughter-in-law look so pale? Are you injured?"

Jiang Shuyun and Mu Yi'an looked at the anxious woman, and the corresponding scene automatically played in their minds. This was the original owner's mother, Jiang Wangshi.

"Mom, we accidentally slipped down the slope. Yi'an probably hit his head and is very dizzy. He also cut his arm."

Jiang Shuyun spent a long time mentally preparing herself before finally uttering the word "mother."

Mu Yi'an was feeling really dizzy, so she kept quiet and waited for a while; she was a patient.

"Go back to your room and lie down. We'll go and get a doctor to take a look. We can't be careless."

Although Jiang's mother was a mother-in-law, she was not a bad one and had a good relationship with her daughters-in-law.

“Mother, don’t worry. Someone went to fetch a doctor when we entered the village. He’ll be here soon. Let me help Yi’an back to the house first.”

"Go, go quickly."

Hearing the baby crying inside, Jiang's mother couldn't care less about the two of them anymore. The baby had just learned to roll over; she was worried he might fall to the ground.

Jiang Shuyun and her husband lived in the east wing room. After pushing open the door, they went back to the inner room first.

"Mu Yi'an, change your clothes first. This one is covered in mud and grass."

"Okay, you can go out first. I can manage on my own."

Mu Yi'an waved her hand, telling him to go out first, since they weren't familiar with each other.

Jiang Shuyun left, and Mu Yi'an had neither the mood nor the energy to look around the room. Following her memory, she found a change of clothes and changed into them. She almost made a mistake several times because it was too troublesome.

"Young Scholar Jiang, how is your wife? Is she alright? What symptoms does she have?"

"Dr. Wu, my wife is dizzy and has a cut on her arm. Could you please take a look?"

Jiang Shuyun has Wu Langzhong in her memory bank; she knows him.

Jiang Shuyun confirmed that Mu Yi'an had changed his clothes and led Physician Wu into the inner room.

Looking at the pale-faced young scholar's wife on the bed, Physician Wu took out a pulse pillow and began to take her pulse.

"Young Scholar Jiang, the patient is not seriously ill, but he may have some discomfort in his head. I will write a prescription, and you can come with me to pick up some medicine in a while. He will be fine after a few days of rest."

"Thank you, Dr. Wu. I'll go with you now."

Jiang Shuyun went out with Physician Wu, while Mu Yi'an drifted off to sleep.

"Shuyun, what did Physician Wu say?"

"Yes, how is Yi'an?"

Jiang Shuyun recognized the younger woman as Lin Wanru, the original owner's sister-in-law, also known as Jiang Linshi.

"Doctor Wu said that after taking a few doses of medicine and resting in bed for a few days, once the dizziness subsides, everything should be fine."
