The next day, the weather was fine.
After breakfast, Jiang Shuyun busied herself moving things to her new home.
Mu Yi'an's entire dowry, except for the bed which she still needs to sleep in, will be moved over first.
Leave behind the things you'll need on moving day: a rice bucket, a new pillow, and red envelopes...
Jiang's mother had already explained these customs and etiquette, and Mu Yi'an and Jiang Shuyun listened attentively; this was their weakness. In their previous lives, they bought houses, renovated them, let the smell dissipate, and moved in directly—there were no such fusses involved.
"Second Brother, the truck is full. Let's send it over first. You come over and see how to put the things."
In the courtyard, Jiang Shuwen and Jiang Shuqi filled a truck with their belongings.
"Coming, coming..." Jiang Shuyun came out of the house. He had just been called over by Yi'an to help him get some things.
Besides Jiang Shuqi and his brothers who often came and went, there was also Wang Lei, the eldest cousin from the maternal uncle's family, and Wang Shi, the son of the paternal uncle's family, in the courtyard.
Wang Lei is already in his thirties and is a man of few words. Wang Shi and Jiang Shuyun are about the same age, but they are not familiar with each other; they were probably sent by their fathers to help out.

Wang Lei remained silent, while Wang Shi continued, saying that they didn't have much contact with Jiang Shuyun. Neither of them had received formal education, only knowing a few characters, and had very little interaction with Jiang Shuyun, who was always engrossed in her studies.
The group stopped being polite and got to work quickly, as moving involved a lot of things and many small tasks.
"We've arrived, Second Brother, open the door."
Jiang Shuqi drove the carriage, with Jiang Shuwen following beside him. Along the way, some relatives from the same clan came along, hoping to lend a hand.
Jiang Shuyun opened the gate, and the mule cart entered the yard. Everyone helped, and the cartload of things was quickly unloaded.
The neighbor next door, Uncle Zhongshi, also came over to help with his son.
Jiang Shuyun wasn't familiar with them, so Jiang Shuqi and Jiang Shuwen helped to greet them.
It took them most of the day to move most of their things; all that's left is to move tomorrow.
"Shao Ming, Shao Yun, we'll sleep in one bed tonight. Tomorrow, when we move to the new house, you can sleep in your own small beds."
"Ah? Okay, Mother." Jiang Shaoming's face showed a hint of joy. After all, he was only four years old. In his previous life, he was still his parents' precious baby. Now, he had to learn to be an older brother.
Mu Yi'an and Jiang Shuyun exchanged a glance. From now on, they would have to be even more attentive to their two older children. As first-time parents, they were still learning and figuring things out.

Behind her followed Shao Ming and Shao Yun, who were carrying new pillows. Mu Yi'an carried Chu Yue and a red envelope, while Jiang Qi carried a new quilt. The family of six entered the new house neatly.
Jiang Shuqi drove the cart behind, pulling the bed and the last few things.
Only at this moment did Jiang Shuyun and her family move into their new home.
Jiang Shuwen went back to work in the county town early yesterday morning, and Li Qiuniang brought Shao Kun to help. Jiang's sister-in-law and Jiang Lan also came; if they didn't show up, the people in the clan would start to criticize them.
The Jiang family's school is closed today; they were notified yesterday.
Jiang's parents, also dressed neatly, came over to help greet them.
Moving house requires at least two tables of food. Even if we don't invite others, we should still invite those who have been busy with the family division these past few days. "Yi'an, come out quickly, your parents, brother and sister-in-law are here."
In the courtyard, Jiang's mother called out to Mu Yi'an, who had just gone inside to look for something.
"Second sister-in-law, hurry up, your family has arrived."
Li Qiuniang was afraid that her second sister-in-law hadn't heard, so she quickly ran in to find her.
"I'll go out now. Take these scissors to your aunt."
Mu Yi'an strode out and saw her parents, elder brother, and sister-in-law in the courtyard. Jiang Shuyun was already there, and her father came out to greet her.
"Father, Mother, Eldest Brother, and Sister-in-law."
"Yi'an, congratulations on your housewarming!"
Brother Mu handed Mu Yi'an a red envelope. Since the Mu family hadn't split up, there was no need to send gifts separately.
"Thank you, Father, Mother, Elder Brother, and Elder Sister-in-law."
"Alright, let's move the things inside. There's no need for formalities among family. Your second sister-in-law is heavily pregnant, so we couldn't let her come. Your second brother is on duty, and your third brother's teacher at school didn't give him leave, so neither of them can come."
"I know, come inside quickly."
Mu Yi'an tugged at her mother's sleeve, and at that moment, she felt that she was Mu Yi'an.
Jiang's father and Shuyun invited Mu's father and elder brother to the living room, while Mu Yi'an led her mother and sister-in-law into the inner room.
