A human face but a dog's heart

A human face but a dog's heart

Just like ten years ago.

Ten years ago, when Lin Xunye was seventeen, he signed up for the arts exam in the first semester of his senior year of high school without telling his family. No one knew about it until a week before the exam.

But on the day before the exam, Lin Xunye's negligence made this matter known to Lin Youjia.

At that time, Yoga Lin took the admission ticket he found in Lin Xunye's room and threatened him that if he didn't do as he said, he would tear up the admission ticket.

Lin Xunye didn't save the original copy of his admission ticket. To save money, he only printed this one.

Lin Xunye was too young at the time, and all his time was spent studying. The excessive pressure squeezed him, and the tension in his heart was plucked, making him panic in an instant. He couldn't think of any other way except to ask Lin Youjia for help.

So Lin Xunye agreed.

Lin Youjia took him to the entrance of an alley near the school and lied to him that he had a puppy that accidentally ran into the depths of the alley.

If he could go in and get the puppy out, he would return his admission ticket to him.

The alley is deep and dark.

Lin Xunye actually didn't believe what Lin Youjia said at first.

But when the sound of dogs barking really came from the alley, Lin Xunye gritted his teeth and went in.

However, there was no puppy in the alley as Yoga Lin mentioned. There were only three of the school's most famous hooligans and a cell phone playing the sound of a puppy barking.

That day, Lin Xunye fought against three people alone.

When he walked out of the alley, Lin Xunye's face and clothes were stained with blood, and there was a long cut on his hand, which scared Lin Youjia so much that he stood there in shock.

The barking cell phone was thrown at Yoga Lin, followed by a fist from Lin Xunye.

It was also on that day that Lin Xunye realized that it was useless to just endure it, and that only fists could really intimidate the evildoers.

When the unlit cigarette was thrown into the trash can, Lin Xunye witnessed the whole process of Yoga Lin being taken away by the police.

The female omega spoke a few words for Yoga Lin at first, but the injuries on her body were real, and they were eventually taken to the police station together.

One of the bodyguards was standing at the back talking on the phone. Lin Xunye was hidden in the crowd and saw everything clearly.

He could already foresee Lin Gaoyuan's furious look, and he might even call him and ask him why he treated Yoga Lin like this.

But Lin Xunye didn't care about these.

Sure enough, that night, Lin Xunye received a call from Lin Gaoyuan.

Lin Gaoyuan's voice on the phone rose, and he said a lot of random things. There were only a few questions he mentioned over and over again, and Lin Xunye could recite them all.

He didn't turn on the hands-free mode, but considerately connected the phone to Bluetooth so that Lin Gaoyuan could talk as much as he wanted.

And he is studying how to bathe the kitten.

Gu Pei was sitting next to him wearing a low-necked shirt, his eyes occasionally falling on him, then looking away when Lin Xunye looked over inquiringly.

After repeating this several times, Lin Xunye stopped.

He clapped his hands, stood up and walked over. He pinched two fingers together and took the document from Gu Pei's hand. "If you have something to say, can you just say it directly? Don't be so awkward like a little girl."

Gu Pei took advantage of the situation and put his arm around Lin Xunye's waist. "You haven't explained clearly what you were busy with this afternoon."

Gu Peiyi reminded Lin Xunye and he remembered.

His eyelids twitched, and he forced himself to recall the characteristics of the blue-haired man. Then he said, "Help me find someone."

Gu Pei's heart jumped suddenly, he had a bad feeling.

The next second, Lin Xunye said, "Blue hair, a mole on the side of the nose, and regular facial features. Oh, by the way, an Apha with citrus pheromones."

After saying that, he glanced at Gu Pei and added: "About the same height as you."

Seeing that he didn't respond, Lin Xunye stretched out his hand and waved it in front of him: "Is it okay?"

Gu Pei's eyes were much darker than when he first looked at Lin Xunye. Lin Xunye looked at his reflection in Gu Pei's eyes and raised his eyebrows.

Kind of handsome.

After a long while, Gu Pei asked in a hoarse voice: "Reason."

Lin Xunye: "What?"

Gu Pei: "The reason for looking for someone."

Lin Xunye gave him a puzzled look, as if he didn't understand why Gu Pei was so talkative today. He rubbed his hair and turned around: "If I can help, I will help. If I can't, forget it."

Sure enough, Gu Pei is not a good guy either.

A human face but a dog's heart.

Back in the room, Lin Xunye threw himself into the warm and comfortable big bed.

It was summer, but Lin Xunye was covered with a thick quilt.

Just like he likes to bury his face in the pool to tell himself that he is still alive, the heavy quilt pressing on his body gives him a sense of reality.

But sweating is also an essential issue.

However, since Lin Xunye takes two baths a day, this problem can be said to be minimal.

Lin Xunye did not take his cell phone with him when he went upstairs, so when the door was knocked, Lin Xunye's first reaction was to look for his cell phone.

But he didn't find it.

So Lin Xunye had no choice but to open the door with his hair messy from sleeping.

Gu Pei was dressed neatly, holding his cell phone in his hand.

Lin Xunye yawned, his eyes half-closed, and his voice was filled with dissatisfaction from not waking up: "Something happened?"

Lin Xunye didn't even open his eyes.

Gu Pei handed over the phone.

The cold phone screen was pressed against his face. Lin Xunye shivered and opened his eyes to stare at Gu Pei.

Gu Pei: "I will help you find the person you mentioned last night."

Lin Xunye's brain froze, and he asked in a daze, "Who?"

The answer to Lin Xunye was the sound of Gu Pei coming down the stairs.

After a few seconds, Lin Xunye's memory came back and he remembered what he discussed with Gu Pei last night.

He felt better, closed the door, lay back on the bed, and forced himself to close his eyes and continue dreaming.

When the sound of even and long breathing began, Lin Xunye fell into dream again.

This time, Lin Xunye returned to the lavender field.

Smelling the familiar scent, Lin Xunye felt like he was home.

Lin Xunye stood there and waited for a long time, but the boy did not show up.

It was not until the sun set that the boy came running from a distance.

He ran to Lin Xunye with a bouquet of sunflowers, his pinky finger gently hooked around Lin Xunye's ring finger. A deep blue ribbon tied the three sunflowers together, creating what looked like a bouquet at first glance.

Lin Xunye looked at the boy, and the boy was looking back at him.

Suddenly, the boy said: "Brother, let's get married."

A breeze blew into the room through the small window that was never closed, blowing a few strands of silver hair on the bed, and then a furry head popped out from under the quilt.

Lin Xunye covered his head and dawdled over to the sink to squeeze toothpaste.

"Brother, let's get married" was like a spell, circling in his mind.

After brushing his teeth with trembling hands, Lin Xunye buried his head in the sink as usual, but this time he felt a slight pain in his head and a little discomfort in his throat.

But Lin Xunye didn't take it seriously. He simply packed up and went out.

He got up very late, and now it's time to get off work, so the traffic is very congested.

The taxi stopped and started, and Lin Xunye stared out the window in a daze.

The phone rang twice, one from Gu Pei and the other from Li Ye. Lin Xunye didn't click on either.

He felt very complicated.

The dream he could never remember, the confession he could never forget, struck his nerves again and again. It was like a treasure that had been buried long ago. Lin Xunye didn't know the password, but he could vaguely guess it.

Everything is blurred.

Only confession is the clearest.

So annoying.

Suddenly, Lin Xunye remembered Gu Pei standing beside him outside the banquet hall, saying in a firm tone, every word seriously: "You are my omega."

Lin Xunye rubbed his eyebrows and felt even more confused.

The road ahead became increasingly congested, until it finally came to a complete stop.

The taxi driver glanced at the silver-haired Lin Xunye in the rearview mirror, hesitated for two seconds, and said, "Young man, don't worry. There seems to be a car accident ahead. There's a traffic jam."

Lin Xunye shook his head lightly, pressed his fingertips on the solar plexus, and rubbed it slowly.

The driver said "oh" twice, turned around and continued looking ahead.

The car was quiet again.

Half an hour later, Lin Xunye lowered the car window and stuck his head out to look at a blurry figure in the distance, who looked very much like Gu Pei.

But Gu Pei was not wearing this outfit in the morning. Lin Xunye shrank back, flipping through his phone boredly, occasionally sending a few messages to Li Ye to tell him where he was.

The driver was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat, thinking he was going to jump out of the window, and immediately said: "Young man, you are still young, don't let your mind wander."

Lin Xunye looked up blankly, his brows knitted tightly. He wanted to say that he was open-minded, but considering that it would be awkward to say so, he changed his words: "No, I just saw someone I know."

Lin Xunye did not lie, he really thought he saw someone he knew.

Perhaps frightened by Lin Xunye, the driver would say some inspirational words intermittently on the rest of the journey.

After hearing this more often, Lin Xunye gradually understood, having gone from initially trying to persuade him. The driver was delighted to see his transformation.

Even after Lin Xunye got out of the car, he could still hear the driver shouting "Come on!" at him.

Very embarrassing.

When Lin Xunye arrived at the agency, Li Ye was still eating.

Lin Xunye sat on the corner of the sofa and clicked on the game icon. Just as he was about to start a round, Li Ye pushed a box lunch over to him: "Come and try our new box lunch. We saved it especially for you."

Lin Xunye glanced at the dense water droplets in the lunch box and lost his appetite: "No, you eat it."

Li Ye ignored him and continued eating his portion.

Lin Xunye finished playing the game and Li Ye finished eating.

He wiped his mouth and asked Lin Xunye: "Are you sure you want to come to the agency to help?"

Lin Xunye hummed, opened the lid of his lunch box and started eating. As soon as the food entered his mouth, his stomach twitched.

Seeing him like this, Li Ye couldn't help but sigh.

The decadent air from Lin Xunye was almost drifting onto him.

"Then you better think about it. Even though you are the boss, I won't pay you a very high salary."

Lin Xunye finished his meal in two or three bites, unscrewed a bottle of mineral water and took a sip to suppress the nausea. Then he stood up from the sofa, walked around in front of Li Ye twice, and stopped at the door: "Then I'm leaving."

Li Ye was so embarrassed that he didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He walked up to him, pinched his arm and pushed him back to the sofa.

"Come to work tomorrow, remember not to be too aggressive, or someone might complain about you."

When Lin Xunye first started teaching at the institution, parents complained about him because of his red hair and exaggerated earrings.

They say he is corrupting public morals, has no artistic talent but has an artistic disease.

The scolding was harsh, but Lin Xunye didn't say a word in reply. After the other parent finished venting, he only said: "Turn left and get a refund."

The parent did not get a refund in the end because Lin Xunye promised to give him a month to help her child win the award. If he did not win the award, he was willing to pay a full refund out of his own pocket.

With Lin Xunye's guarantee, the parents gave him a one-month deadline.

A month later, the student did win the award.

But Li Ye did not agree with Lin Xunye's approach.

Competitions are full of luck and subjectivity. If the judges don't like your style, your work, no matter how good, might still be rejected. And achieving this level of skill requires a tremendous amount of dedication and pressure.

Lin Xunye is very clear about this, but he will still gamble.
