No one can resist a kitten
On the day Gu Pei came back, Lin Xunye got up early for the first time and moved his night work to daytime.
When the car drove near the villa, Lin Xunye's ears were even more sensitive than a cat's ears. When he heard the sound, he immediately ran out to wait for Gu Pei.
The car door opened, and the kitten that Lin Xunye had seen got out with Gu Pei.
The kitten was snow-white all over and meowed when it saw Lin Xunye, making him feel so cute that his heart melted.
No one can refuse a kitten, not even Lin Xunye.
Lin Xunye's pace, which was already fast, became even faster.
He walked over and did not take the cat from Gu Pei directly. Instead, he asked first: "Are you back from your business trip?"
Although it was just nonsense, Gu Pei had a subtle feeling that Lin Xunye had been waiting for him.
For a moment, the vague outline of Lin Xunye and the person in his dream overlapped.
Now Gu Pei is more and more certain that Lin Xunye is that person.
But he didn't understand why they in the dream ended up in that situation. He couldn't figure it out.
Gu Pei suddenly wanted to grab Lin Xunye's shoulders and ask all the questions.
Not getting an answer, Lin Xunye looked at him strangely.
Gu Pei came back to his senses and put the cat into Lin Xunye's arms, looking at him with deep eyes: "Well, it went well."
"I heard from the assistant that you wanted to see me?"
Lin Xunye paused in nodding, then thought, they are a legal couple, so it seems okay to say this.
"Yeah, about right."
He held the cat gently, and then, as if deliberately concealing something, he said, "Kittens are very troublesome. I'll hold them for you for a while and return them to you later."
Gu Pei saw the joy in Lin Xunye's eyes after he carried him to the cat. He didn't spoil the fun, but asked with a smile, "Do you want to go buy cat food together?"
Lin Xunye stroked his fur twice and said, "No, just call someone to send it over."
Gu Pei, who was trying to ask someone out: "......"
"Okay." He patted the cat hair on his body and smiled helplessly.
The answer was expected.

Gu Pei came back at a very coincidental time. The food had just been served on the table and was still steaming.
When the aunt saw someone coming in, she was in a very good mood: "Mr. Gu is back, the meal is just ready, come and eat."
"The young master has been waiting for you since he heard you were coming back. I've never seen him get up so early."
My aunt has worked in Gu Pei's family for seven years. Her relationship with Gu Pei is no longer just an employment relationship, but more like a half-relative.
Hearing this, Gu Pei's eyes turned and he looked at Lin Xunye intently.
Lin Xunye's back stiffened, and his hand stroking the cat sped up a few times. He wanted to refute, but Gu Pei knew what he was talking about was true.
But why does it sound so wrong coming from my aunt?
Lin Xunye laughed dryly, petting the cat non-stop as if to divert his attention. He wanted to just brush it off, but Gu Pei's gaze was glued to him, not moving away.
There was no other way, so Lin Xunye turned his head away, the blush on the tips of his ears spreading to his cheeks, and he said awkwardly: "I guess so."
Anyway, it is correct in theory.
He wasn't lying.
Lin Xunye walked very quickly with the kitten in his arms, sat down at the table, picked up his chopsticks and started eating directly, with no intention of waiting for Gu Pei.
Gu Pei took off his coat, handed it to his aunt, and sat opposite Lin Xunye.
Looking at the person opposite him who was about to bury his face in the bowl, he filled a bowl of soup and placed it in front of Lin Xunye.
"I heard from the assistant that you have something to talk to me about?"
Lin Xunye swallowed the remaining food in his mouth and said seriously: "I want to ask you to do me a favor. If you have time, forget it if you don't."
Lin Xunye put down his chopsticks, stroked the cat's back and waited for Gu Pei's reply.
It would be best if Gu Pei had time, otherwise I would have to find other ways myself.
Gu Pei did not answer immediately, but asked: "Is it something important?"
Lin Xunye: "Very important."
Gu Pei understood and made up his mind.
"Okay," he said, "I can help you, but you have to promise me something of equal benefit."
There is no free pie in the sky, Lin Xunye knows this truth.
So he was not averse to the request made by Gu Pei.
The negotiations moved from the dining table to the study, and Lin Xunye held the cat, stroking it from time to time.
Gu Pei hadn't spoken since he came in. He sat quietly on the chair, looking serious yet gentle.
Lin Xunye frowned and thought for a while, and suddenly a term that he had accidentally seen on a short video before popped up in his mind - the feeling of being a husband.
Lin Xunye's face flushed red and the corners of his mouth twitched.
The kitten seemed to be infected by his emotions. It struggled to jump out of his arms and hid behind Gu Pei's legs.
Gu Pei also noticed something strange about Lin Xunye.
Only then did his gaze move from the contract on the table to Lin Xunye's face. His azure eyes moved slightly, like a deep pool of water, unfathomable.
After the kitten jumped down, Lin Xunye leaned back on the sofa and played with his phone, without noticing the look in Gu Pei's eyes.
He was a little concerned about what Gu Pei had just said at the dinner table.
Ten minutes ago, the two finished their meal.
Lin Xunye was about to leave with the cat when Gu Pei suddenly said, "Kittens eat a lot of different things, so it's best to buy them offline."
Lin Xunye likes online shopping and rarely buys things in physical stores.
He disagreed with Gu Pei's statement: "Xiao Mou has a full set of recommendations in his book. Can't I just choose one online based on the suggestions?"
Hearing this, Gu Pei's tone became a little stiff, but he didn't want to be rejected: "My suggestion is to go to a physical store. After all, cats are different from people and can't be simply described with words."
Lin Xunye had never raised a cat, so he was skeptical about this.
But when he actually browsed the shopping app, he realized how complicated it was. As a novice cat owner, he was completely in the dark.
But he couldn't bring himself to tell Gu Pei that he had changed his mind.
He had no choice but to open the comment section with his mobile phone and read carefully, hoping to find a cat food that met his expectations.
But he didn't even know how old the kitten was. He only knew that it was a snow-white kitten.

After a period of busy work, Lin Xunye supported his head with one hand and stared at his phone in a daze.
Gu Pei stopped in front of him, took his phone and glanced at it.

How to choose food for kittens
"An essential piece of equipment for cat owners"
"What are you doing?" Lin Xunye pulled the phone back forcefully, whispered "Damn it", then turned off the screen and picked up a handful of cat hair.
Gu Pei shouldn’t be allergic to cat hair, right?
Then why does he look so bad? Is the company going to go bankrupt?
He put the cat hair into his pocket and looked at Gu Pei leisurely.
He wanted to see what this person was up to.
Two seconds later, Gu Pei picked up the cat hair stuck to Lin Xunye's neck and put it in his pocket. "Have you made up your mind?"
"What?" Lin Xunye asked subconsciously.
Gu Pei: "I need your help, and I also need food for the cat."
Lin Xunye frowned, as if he was dissatisfied with Gu Pei's way of speaking. He stood up suddenly and left Gu Pei's absolute possession area.
"casual."
In a large supermarket closest to the villa, Lin Xunye carried the cat and walked to the pet area.
Lin Xunye's silver hair was so dazzling that the moment he walked in, a shopping guide noticed him.
"Sir, are you looking for daily necessities for your cat?"
Lin Xunye looked at her in surprise, then nodded, "What should such a big cat eat?"
He picked up the kitten in his hands and showed it to the shopping guide. The shopping guide understood and recommended several types of cat food to Lin Xunye.
Some of them were ones that Lin Xunye had seen in online stores. One of them had high reviews, but Lin Xunye hadn't made up his mind.
He was afraid that the kitten would get sick from eating it.
The shopping guide's enthusiasm remained undiminished and continued to sell products to Lin Xunye.
After listening for a while, Lin Xunye turned around with the cat in his arms and bumped into Gu Pei's shoulder.
The kitten meowed, and Lin Xunye reflexively made a "tsk" sound, and his outstretched fist almost hit Gu Pei in the face.
"Why are you standing so close?"
As he spoke, he checked to see if the kitten was injured.
Gu Pei took a step back, his eyes fixed on Lin Xunye's hand stroking the fur, and some nonsense popped into his mind.
Such a beautiful pair of hands, everything they do should be beautiful.
"Gu Pei? Speak." Lin Xunye frowned, a little impatient.
He suspected that Gu Pei attacked him on purpose.
Gu Pei quickly came back to his senses. He said "sorry", then asked the shopping guide for the cat food that the kitten usually ate, and took Lin Xunye to check out.
Lin Xunye didn't say a word the whole time.
The only sense of participation he had was what the shopping guide said at first, and he had forgotten everything.
Coming out of the supermarket, Lin Xunye looked unhappy.
Gu Pei was just playing with him.
Otherwise, if he were holding the cat now, he would definitely rush up and punch Gu Pei twice to make Gu Pei realize the consequences of teasing him.
Before the idea was implemented, Gu Pei suddenly took out a very exquisite cat box from the trunk, with a lavender painted on it.
"If you're tired, you can take the cat..."
Gu Pei's words stopped abruptly. Lin Xunye glared at him, stuffed the cat into his arms, and turned away.
Gu Pei and the cat in his arms stared at each other with wide eyes.
Lin Xunye was walking on the road with an unlit cigarette in his mouth. When he passed an alley, he suddenly stopped.
He stood at the entrance of the alley and listened for a while. A mixture of tiny noises and women's screams came out. The sound became louder and louder. He could faintly hear his name from inside, as if it was called deliberately for him to hear.
Lin Xunye was not unfamiliar with the woman's voice. It was Lin Youjia's female omega, the one he had kindly reminded him of.
The alley is very deep and you can't see the end at a glance.
Lin Xunye paused for a while, but ultimately did not go in.
He dialed the police number, said a few simple words, gave the address, and emphasized that he was a passerby and asked the other party not to call him back.
Perhaps feeling that this was a bit deliberate, Lin Xunye added, "Call me if you need anything, and I'll go to the police station to assist."
There were constant screams in the alley. Lin Xunye could no longer bear it. After hanging up, he picked up a stone and threw it inside.
The stone rolled all the way into the depths of the alley and stopped moving.
The screams died down and footsteps were heard.
Lin Xunye dodged sideways into a blind spot, looking coldly at the black-clad bodyguards who rushed out.
The one in the lead was the bodyguard who had forcibly taken Lin Xunye from the apartment to the Lin family.
Also coming out together were the woman and Yoga Lin.
The woman had delicate makeup on her face and fresh pinch marks on her arms. She looked timid, but after taking Lin Youjia's arm, she raised her head high, as if she had received a blessing.
Sure enough, all this was a conspiracy.
