Chapter 299 Strategizing

She untied the yarn on his clothes with her fingers: "Where did you get this? Where are your parents?"

Duan Yuxiao looked around and whispered, "Shh, they're over there. I sneaked over here to play." He raised his hand to show Luo Shimiao the diamond ring he was holding, which was decorated with crocheted yarn.

"I crawled out from under the table, and the ring my mom gave me to play with accidentally got caught on an aunt's skirt. Why did it follow me?"

Luo Shimiao paused, looked behind him, and saw a piece of yarn lying on the ground. She picked up the yarn and pulled it back with both hands.

The yarn hanging on the ground taut. Luo Shimiao looked in the direction it was pointing and saw a woman sitting at the dining table ahead, wearing a short fur coat. Her long sweater and skirt underneath had become high-slit, and if pulled up further...

"Oh no, little bald guy, you've gotten yourself into trouble."

"Oh ho!" He followed the gaze and covered his mouth with his little hand.

The lady finally realized something was wrong, looked down, and exclaimed, "My dress!"

Luo Shimiao quickly let go, and the light yarn drifted down like snowflakes.

Upon seeing her pull up the yarn and look over, Luo Shimiao hugged Duan Yuxiao and lay under the table. After a few seconds, she opened the camera and extended the webcam. The image showed the woman holding the yarn in her hand, following her direction.

"Little bald guy, she's here, hurry up and go!"

The two crouched down and used the sofa next to them to walk in another direction.

Luo Shimiao pointed to a rectangular dining table not far ahead.

"Mmm." Duan Yuxiao crawled under the table like a little gecko, using both hands and feet.

She patted her head as she looked at the unfinished yarn, then followed Duan Yuxiao's posture and crawled inside.

Only the front half of the long table was occupied by people eating; the back seats were empty.

Everyone's attention was on the table, and no one noticed their subtle actions.

Squatting in high heels was too uncomfortable, so Luo Shimiao simply took them off. Looking at Duan Yuxiao lying in front of her, she picked up her shoes and walked over. Before he came looking for her, she quickly untied the rest of the yarn.

Duan Yuxiao tugged at her sleeve with his little finger and said in a voice only the two of them could hear, "What are they doing?"

Luo Shimiao turned her head and saw a slender, white leg rubbing against the man's calf.

"It must be... itchy feet." He crumpled the yarn he had taken off into a ball, crawled to the end of the table, and threw it away.

A moment later, a woman's displeased voice came from outside.

"Which bastard tore my skirt?!"

"Mrs. Fang, perhaps that person didn't mean it. Let's go change our clothes first."

"Um."

Luo Shimiao lay on the floor mat, watching the two pairs of legs gradually walk away before she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Little bald guy, I got my cheongsam all dirty trying to help you."

"I'll compensate you."

She looked at her furrowed brows and asked, "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

"Sister, I need to pee."

"You're such a nuisance, let me take you to the toilet."

"Ugh... I can't hold it in anymore."

Luo Shimiao lifted the tablecloth to make sure no one was nearby, then crawled out with her shoes in her hand and squatted down, saying, "Hurry up and come out."

Duan Yuxiao crawled out and sat on the ground, saying helplessly, "I don't want to wet my pants."

She put on her shoes, looked left and right, and realized that it might be a bit far to get to the toilet from here. Judging from the little guy's expression, he really couldn't hold it in any longer.

With a sigh, I realized that was the only way.
