Chapter 299 Strategizing

After the person blocking the way left, Luo Shimiao walked towards that corner.

She gently sat down, her skirt fluttering, and less than a minute later, a woman's voice rang out above her.

Would you mind if I sat next to you?

Luo Shimiao looked up and saw a woman with a mature charm, smiling at her.

"Do as you please."

"Thank you." She sat down and took her phone out of her bag.

Luo Shimiao assumed that women were just like her, finding a quiet corner to play on their phones.

The two sat on the double sofa, each holding their phone, silent and engrossed in their own activities.

Six minutes passed in this way, and Luo Shimiao's casual glance startled her so much that she almost dropped Gu Nian's phone.

I took a deep breath. Goodness, watching a movie in this kind of setting.

The wall behind them is so big that if they want to know what you're looking at, they have to go around to the back. And if someone walks by, they'll know immediately. No wonder they chose to look from here.

Luo Shimiao glanced down at the sweet romance novels on her phone; they were all too innocent. It wouldn't be bad to read something risqué once in a while.

He lifted his hips and moved closer to the woman, a radiant smile on his face that could melt ice and snow: "Pretty sister, may I watch with you?"

The woman turned and looked at her for a moment, then said, "Okay."

Luo Shimiao swiped over immediately, staring at the screen with shining eyes, her fingers rubbing her chin, and said, "Oh my, it's not a Mac, it's a thermos, that's something."

The woman took out a cigarette from her bag, lit it, and white smoke drifted into the air.

Luo Shimiao glanced at the woman's profile indifferently. Smoking wasn't allowed indoors, but he didn't want to meddle.

She suddenly asked, "How's the female lead?"

"So-so, looks a bit old."

"I'm 40 years old, it's normal to get old."

She asked in surprise, "How do you know her age? Does the video title say so?"

The woman took a deep breath, a mocking smile playing on her lips: "This is my home security camera."

"Huh?" Luo Shimiao was completely dumbfounded, and her eyes involuntarily looked up at the top of her head, as if she saw a lush green Christmas tree.

After learning the truth, she was too embarrassed to continue reading, but at the same time she was curious as to why she could remain so calm knowing that her husband was cheating on her.

After hesitating for a moment, she finally voiced her question: "Aren't you angry?"

"I'm angry, very angry," the woman stubbed out her cigarette, gazing through the smoke into Luo Shimiao's bright eyes, "but I must remain rational and make him leave with nothing!"

Luo Shimiao's gaze fell on the screen: "Installing cameras in a room to secretly film and collect evidence infringes on the legitimate rights and interests of others, and this cannot be used as evidence."

"If you file for divorce, your spouse is very likely to turn around and accuse you."

The woman placed her phone on the cushion, leaned back, and a look of pain slowly welled up in her eyes: "Yes, so when I found out he was cheating on me, I didn't dare to do anything rash."

“That bastard is very cautious. The housekeeper is his man. If I go back to catch them in the act, the two inside will know as soon as I get to the door.”

"Therefore, once you make a move, you must strike decisively and ensure he can't recover."

Luo Shimiao stood up, walked a short distance away, brought back two glasses of champagne, and handed one of them to her.

"Seeing such a beautiful woman being bullied by a scumbag makes me indignant. Actually, it's not that difficult."

"Oh?" The woman took the champagne, lightly touched Luo Shimiao's glass, and stared at her intently: "Little sister, do you have any suggestions?"

"Suppose you go home now and successfully catch your partner cheating, will you be able to calm down?"

"No, I wish I could take scissors and cut it off so that people can't do that!" She clenched her fists tightly.

"He left just minutes after the dinner started, citing an emergency meeting. Does he think I'm stupid?"

Luo Shimiao curled her red lips into a smile, the little devil on her head swaying, and tapped the table in the video with her finger, asking, "What is this bottle?"

"I bought lubricant, you shameless bastards!"

"Since they like being together so much, why don't you just grant them their wish and make them inseparable?"

The woman pressed on, "How can we make them inseparable?"

Luo Shimiao blinked: "Can't we just use a different kind of water?"

"Change the water?" The woman lowered her head and thought for a moment, then suddenly looked up and gave her a hug, excitedly saying, "I understand."

The wine in their glasses almost spilled because of the embrace.

After the woman released her, she calmed down and said, "Thank you."

Luo Shimiao raised his glass: "I wish you success."

With a crisp clinking sound, the two men downed their drinks in one gulp.

Luo Shimiao watched the woman's departing figure, then leaned lazily against the sofa. He knew there would be a good show to watch soon.

She leaned against Gu Nian's phone, continuing to read a sweet romance novel. As she read, drowsiness overcame her, so she turned the phone face down on her lap, propped her head up, and dozed off.

Suddenly, a soft, sweet voice entered my ears.

"Sister, please help me."

Luo Shimiao slowly opened her eyes and looked at the little boy, who was about three years old, standing three steps away.

The miniature suit paired with a head shaped like a hard-boiled egg is exceptionally comical.

He was covered in black and gold yarn.

"Little bald guy, how can I help you if you don't come closer?"

The little boy lifted his leg, walked forward, and said as he walked, "I'm not called Little Baldy, I have a name."

"So what's your name?" Luo Shimiao sat up straight and reached out to pat her round little head.

"Duan Yuxiao, what about you, sister?"

Luo Shimiao raised an eyebrow and chuckled: "Want to know? I'm not going to tell you."

He pouted his little mouth, tilted his head and thought for a while, then said, "Then I'll just have to call you Sister Wuming."
