"You brat, how many times have I told you not to bother Xiao Gu? Are you deaf?"
Liu Yan, with one hand on her hip and the other grabbing Liu Ming's ear, said with exasperation, "Don't you even take a piss and look at yourself? I'm warning you, stay away from him."
"Hey, sis, let go, let go, my ear's going to fall off..."
Liu Ming screamed and begged for mercy, muttering under his breath in dissatisfaction, "How can you talk about your own brother like that?"
"Heh, it's precisely because I'm your younger brother that I know what kind of person you are. Don't try to mess with other girls."
After Liu Yan finished scolding Liu Ming, she looked at Gu Baiwei with a smile: "Little Gu, don't pay any attention to him. If this brat dares to bother you again, just tell me, and I'll definitely break his legs."
Gu Baiwei's forehead twitched: "Sister Yan, it's not actually that serious..."
"What are you standing there for? Get back to your room!"
After Liu Yan finished speaking, she kicked Liu Ming in the buttocks, cursing and dragging him inside. Even from a distance, Liu Ming's wails could be heard.
"Sis, am I really your biological brother? How can you be such a bad sister?"
Watching the person he longed for disappear before his eyes, Liu Ming spoke up indignantly.
"You brat, I'm saving you. Do you know who Xiao Gu's boyfriend is? He's that legendary Boss Shen."
The day after the crew arrived, Liu Yan was taken to see Shen Yanqing by a tall, burly bodyguard in black.
Just thinking about that man's icy, chilling gaze still sends shivers down her spine. He was someone they could never afford to offend in their lifetime.
"In short, you better stay away from Xiao Gu from now on, or you won't even know how you died, you hear me?"
Before Liu Yan could finish speaking, a rough male voice came from behind her: "Yan Yan, Ming Ming, I've finally found you."
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Liu Yan immediately turned around.
Then I saw a man wearing a black baseball cap and a black mask, standing there with his back hunched over.
He was wearing a worn-out sailor shirt and faded jeans. His eyes, visible beneath a mask, were loose and droopy, revealing fatigue, but the fierceness in them was undeniable.
"What are you doing here? Get out!"
Liu Yan's face immediately turned cold, and Liu Ming leaned forward in confusion: "Sister, who is he?"
Before she could answer, Liu Jin spoke up first: "Mingming, I'm your father. When you were little, I often took you out to play, remember?"
He immediately pulled his mask down a little and quickly covered himself up again.
"Ha, you think you're worthy? Back then, you made a fortune and then abandoned your wife and children to get involved with that vixen. Now that vixen doesn't care about you anymore, you've suddenly remembered us siblings?"
Liu Yan stared coldly at her former father, her eyes surging with hatred like a tidal wave.
She still can't forget how heartlessly this man abandoned her seriously ill mother and her siblings.
He had money back then, but he was unwilling to give even a penny to treat his mother. If he had just been willing to help his mother with her treatment, she wouldn't have died so young.
"Yan Yan, I..."
Liu Jin stood there awkwardly, and when he caught sight of two figures walking in, he immediately knelt down and began slapping himself repeatedly: "Yan Yan, I am still your biological father, how can you be so cruel to me? I know you resent and hate me, and I know I was wrong. Please forgive me this time."
This was exactly what Gu Baiwei and Du Qingyan saw when they entered the room.
The hunched man, dressed in tattered clothes, knelt shakily on the ground, his face obscured by a black baseball cap.
As more members of the film crew returned, Liu Jin cried even louder: "Even if I'm not the best, I gave you my life and raised you for several years. How could you treat me like this?"
He knelt on the ground with his back hunched over, his body trembling slightly, and he looked truly pitiful.
Liu Yan stood still, coldly watching the scene before her.
Gu Baiwei and Du Qingyan were unaware of what had happened, so they didn't get involved. They believed that there was always a reason why someone was pitiful, and besides, it was someone else's family matter, which had nothing to do with them.
Just then, Su Peipei entered the room and saw the scene. She immediately rushed forward to help the man up, saying, "Uncle, get up. They are the ones who are unfilial. What kind of father kneels before his children?"
She spoke with conviction, and noticing someone was secretly recording her, she subtly adjusted her hair and tilted her head, trying to present her best self in front of the camera.
“You’ve gone too far. Even if Uncle was wrong, he knelt down before you. How can you children be so heartless? You’re unworthy of being called children.”
Su Peipei noticed the gazes of those around her, and instantly straightened her back, looking righteous.
"Liu Jin, let me tell you, from the moment you abandoned your wife and children, we siblings have nothing to do with you. If you cause trouble again, don't blame me for being impolite!"
Liu Yan left after uttering those words.
"Hey, what kind of daughter are you? How can you treat your father like this?"
Su Peipei persisted from behind, her gaze sweeping over Gu Baiwei, who was watching the scene unfold: "This uncle is so pitiful, don't you have any sympathy? You're all actors, how can you be so indifferent?"
She spoke these words to everyone, but her eyes remained fixed on Gu Baiwei, and it was obvious who she was referring to with that coldness.
Gu Baiwei was too lazy to argue with someone as mentally unstable as her, and pulled Du Qingyan upstairs.
Su Peipei, however, didn't want her to have her way: "Gu Baiwei, this uncle is so pitiful, don't you have any ideas?"
This condescending, questioning tone left Gu Baiwei speechless.
