Chapter 2 Lesions

Lu Ning's voice was very soft, but the three of them heard it clearly.

They paused, then exchanged a glance.

Colin asked uncertainly, "...He just said he wanted water?"

Lin Xiao chuckled: "The examination report shows that his body is in a state of extreme malnutrition and urgently needs to replenish water and energy, which is consistent with the report."

Li Mu sneered, "That also fits the profile of an ordinary person."

Lin Xiao and Colin smiled helplessly.

Colin took out a thin plastic tube, which was more than three meters long, and dipped one end into the water bottle.

Colin flicked his wrist, and the originally soft thin tube snapped straight as if it were steel.

He stood three meters away, inserted the thin tube into Lu Ning's mouth, and then pointed his finger at the water bottle. Unusually, the water in the bottle flowed from the ground down the thin tube into Lu Ning's mouth.

…………

Lu Ning's first feeling upon regaining consciousness was: dry mouth and extreme hunger.

But he was overjoyed.

He walked for a long time in the endless fog, never feeling hungry, thirsty, or tired.

He didn't even feel the reality of being alive.

Now, he felt thirsty and hungry again.

This made him clearly feel that he was alive!

Thirst made him instinctively seek water.

Soon, a cool sensation entered my mouth.

It's water!

He swallowed it greedily, and gradually, he felt his spirits recover a little.

He opened his eyes with some difficulty.

The first thing you see is the glaring incandescent light and the gray-black metal ceiling.

Lu Ning stared blankly at the incandescent light bulb for a while, then slowly turned his head to look at the other side.

There were three people standing there.

A middle-aged man with short black hair, a full beard, and a scar on his left cheek.

A young foreign man with short blond hair, wearing glasses, looked somewhat shy and refined.

A young woman with long, black, wavy hair was very beautiful, almost as good-looking as a celebrity.

The three of them seemed somewhat wary of him at that moment.

Lu Ning didn't think about the reason; he didn't even care that his body was unable to move.

His lips gradually curled into a smile, which grew wider and wider, his voice becoming somewhat manic: "Hehe...hehehehehe...hahahahahahahahaha!! It's a human! It's a human!! I've finally seen humans! I'm back! I'm really back!!"

Lu Ning's maniacal smile startled Lin Xiao and the other two, putting them on high alert.

Lin Xiao's right hand twisted and turned into a pale bone knife made of flesh and bone.

With a thought, Colin sent steel needles flying out of his pocket and hovering in the air.

Li Mu's brow was twisted and turned into a cold and ruthless eye, with white light flowing within it.

Lu Ning's smile froze upon seeing the changes in the three people, and then gradually disappeared.

He looked at the three of them, and they looked back at him; the air became very quiet.

After a moment of staring at each other, Lu Ning, with obvious confusion on his face, asked, "...Are you...human?"

Lin Xiao slowly took a drag of his cigarette with his left hand, squinting as he looked at the bewildered Lu Ning: "That's the question I should be asking you! Are you human? Or... what are you?"

"Of course I am human. As far as I know, humans don't have the ability to turn their hands into knives, nor the ability to control things with their thoughts, nor do they have eyes on their foreheads... Huh?"

Lu Ning stared straight at Li Mu, and in his vision, a cloud of white mist swirled around Li Mu's body.

There were countless eyes in the fog.

It seemed that her body contained no flesh and blood, but was entirely composed of eyes.

Lu Ning's brain, which had been dormant for a long time, slowly began to function again.

Is the human body... made up of eyes?

These eyes were scanning their surroundings, seemingly aware of the gaze directed at them.

They paused, then all looked at Lu Ning with cold, indifferent eyes.

Lu Ning met those eyes for a moment, then tilted her head slightly: "What are you looking at?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the white mist inside Li Mu's body surged violently, and all his eyes projected a ferocious and twisted look.

The next moment, Li Mu's expression changed drastically, and he suddenly bent over and began to retch.

Lin Xiao and Colin were startled and turned to look at Li Mu.

"Mu Mu?!"

Lin Xiao was about to step forward when he saw a crack suddenly appear on the back of Li Mu's bare hand, and one eye slowly opened.

Upon seeing this, Lin Xiao's pupils contracted.

He suddenly pulled Colin, who was standing next to him.

laugh!

A beam of white light shot from his eyes, piercing through the spot where Colin had been standing.

The next moment, beams of white light shot out from Li Mu's trench coat, like laser beams.

Colin's eyes widened in shock: "A lesion?!"

He lifted his feet off the ground, soaring into the air and moving rapidly through the laser beams, dodging the attacks.

Lin Xiao's body, hidden beneath his trench coat, seemed to swell slightly, his speed leaving afterimages as he swiftly dodged the attacks.

"Mu Mu! Control yourself!" he roared at Li Mu.

Li Mu let out a low growl, like a trapped beast.

The next moment, a round object coughed out of her cherry-like mouth.

That was an eyeball.

As the first eyeball appeared, more and more eyeballs were coughed out by her.

After being coughed up, these eyeballs scattered on the ground, their vision erratic, shooting out beams of white laser light.

The entire room seemed to be enveloped by these lasers.

Lu Ning lay on the hospital bed, staring blankly at Li Mu.

Her trench coat was riddled with holes, and inside the holes, instead of snow-white skin, were eyes.
