Chapter 348 Returning Home (103)

Lin Feng couldn't help but frown.

"What's wrong, Mr. Lin Feng?"

"It's nothing, let's go, let me lead the way."

"Oh," Elizabeth replied.

The two walked along a street, and soon they saw an old-fashioned house in front of them.

Lin Feng stopped and pointed to the old house ahead: "Miss Elizabeth, that's it."

Elizabeth looked in the direction Lin Feng was pointing and saw a four-story attic building in front of her.

"What a beautiful building!" Elizabeth couldn't help but exclaim, then said, "Mr. Lin Feng, this place is probably not suitable for us to live in, so I advise you to leave as soon as possible."

"Why?" Lin Feng asked.

"Our job is only to apprehend the fugitives; we don't need to live here."

"So where are we staying now?"

"Come with me." Elizabeth gestured for him to come.

The two walked along the alley.

After walking for a while, Lin Feng suddenly saw a house ahead with its courtyard in the middle of the street. A thought flashed through his mind, and with a light tap of his foot, he instantly flew over.

Almost simultaneously, several men rushed out of the house and opened fire on Lin Feng with guns.

Lin Feng snorted coldly, and with a wave of his right hand, a gust of wind swept out. The wind transformed into invisible blades, slashing towards the men who had attacked him.

The men screamed and flew backward.

Lin Feng landed, looking indifferently at the injured men: "Who are you? Why did you attack me?"

The men clutched their chests, staring at Lin Feng in utter horror: "You...you're actually...you're a master of the Innate Realm...who exactly are you?"

"A master of the Innate Realm?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Feng was taken aback, then his expression changed slightly: "How do you know I'm a Xiantian Realm expert?"

"Because...we've seen your picture," a man said.

"What? You've seen my picture?" Lin Feng frowned slightly. "Whose side are you on? Why are you trying to assassinate me?"

"This..." The group looked at each other.

"Speak," Lin Feng said.

The group exchanged wry smiles, then said, "We are members of the Blood Wolf Mercenary Group."

"What? The Blood Wolf Mercenary Group?" Lin Feng was shocked upon hearing this.

"Mr. Lin Feng, do you know the Blood Wolf Mercenary Group?" The group looked at Lin Feng with suspicion.

"Are you from the Blood Wolf Mercenary Group?" Lin Feng pondered.

"That's right, our leader is Blood Fiend, and we are his subordinates," a man said.

"Blood Fiend? That scumbag?"

"Mr. Lin Feng, please don't insult Mr. Blood Fiend. He is the pride of our entire Blood Wolf Mercenary Group!!" A young man angrily rebuked Lin Feng.

"Heh." Lin Feng chuckled dismissively, then looked at the group of men and said, "Since you're from the Blood Wolf Mercenary Group, then you shouldn't have come looking for trouble with me."

"Mr. Lin Feng, we had no choice but to do this."

Lin Feng snorted coldly: "I think you're playing tricks."

"Mr. Lin Feng, we really had no choice. If you want to know if we're playing any tricks, you can investigate the Blood Wolf Mercenary Group. I'm sure you know as well," a young man said.

Lin Feng raised an eyebrow, a thoughtful look in his eyes, then said, "Since you said I'd investigate the Blood Wolf Mercenary Group, then tell me what happened that night. If what I find is true, I'll consider letting you go."

"This...this..." the young man hesitated.

"Are you worried that I'll find out that someone on your team has betrayed the organization?" Lin Feng asked.

"No, no, that's not it. We absolutely did not betray the organization, we absolutely did not betray the organization... Mr. Lin Feng, you must believe us, we absolutely did not betray the organization, we were just hired by someone." Another woman hurriedly explained.

Lin Feng looked at these people and, for some reason, felt that they weren't lying.

"Alright, I can give you a chance," Lin Feng said.

Those people were overjoyed.

"But you must promise that if I find out it's a lie, I will wipe you all out. Do you understand?" Lin Feng said.

"Understood, there's absolutely no lie," one of the men said.

"Very well, then you can tell me," Lin Feng said.

"That night, Mr. Blood Fiend asked us to kidnap someone, drug her, and take her to a hotel," a young man said.

"When did you begin your operation?"

"Just last night, we entered the hotel as planned, took her to her room, and then quickly returned to the base to prepare for the operation," the young man said.

"Which room is that person in?" Lin Feng asked.

"In...in room number three." As soon as the young man finished speaking, Lin Feng's figure flashed like lightning.

"Bang bang bang bang..."

Several muffled thuds sounded.

Lin Feng repeatedly knocked several people to the ground, their blood splattering everywhere, a shocking scene.

"We...we really didn't lie to you...we...we were forced...it was...it was Mr. Blood Fiend who ordered us...to...kill you..." one of the men said haltingly, before he died stiffly.

The remaining people were so frightened by what they saw that they trembled all over and didn't dare to breathe.
