Chapter 161 Green Fairy

The whole house is surrounded by green vegetation!

The wooden fence is completely unrecognizable from its original state, with green, thorny vines densely entwining it, demonstrating its vigorous reproductive ability.

As soon as Zhao Xiaoxiu appeared, all the tender green leaves trembled in unison, making a rustling sound, which startled the Meng family mother and her two children so much that their faces turned pale. They thought that these mutated plants were about to launch an attack.

Zhao Xiaoxiu took a deep breath and stepped forward.

The leaves became even more excited. Although they couldn't speak, Zhao Xiaoxiu heard a childlike "wa-la-wa-la" cheer.

"Xiaoxiu, don't move!" Meng Da reminded her anxiously, afraid that Zhao Xiaoxiu would attract the attention of the mutated plants in front of them.

Zhao Gang calmly walked out and said to the three of them, "It's nothing."

Under the astonished and uncertain gazes of the Meng family mother and her two children, Zhao Xiaoxiu walked step by step to the dense green wall.

This used to be the entrance to the courtyard, but now the gate is completely covered by green vines and leaves.

Zhao Xiaoxiu reached out and touched it, and a branch reached out first, touching her palm.

The tender leaves rubbed against her palm, all the thorns on them retracting, affectionately wrapping around her fingertips and wrists, and playfully twining around her body.

It was showing off its achievements of the past two days; it had built a safe wall and told her she could sleep peacefully inside.

Two leaves extended to Zhao Xiaoxiu's eyes, swaying left and right, seeking praise.

Zhao Xiaoxiu stepped over the vines blocking her way and walked towards the spot where she had planted it the day before yesterday.

Zhao Xiaoxiu easily found the main body, which was hidden deep within the vines and branches.

In just two days, it grew wildly, covering the entire wall, with its main root system deeply embedded in the ground and its branches growing as thick as her forearm.

Zhao Xiaoxiu knew that her blood played a large part in this, but she still stood there in shock for a full three seconds.

"What species are you?" Zhao Xiaoxiu asked in a low voice, full of curiosity.

Unfortunately, all I could hear in my mind was excited cheers and shouts. How could a plant possibly know what humans call them?

"I need to give you a name... What should I call you?" Zhao Xiaoxiu pondered for a moment, then had an idea!

"How about I call you Green Fairy?" Zhao Xiaoxiu asked expectantly.

The fluttering branches circled her in confusion, not understanding the meaning of her name.

Zhao Xiaoxiu kept pointing at it and calling it over and over again. It finally responded. Every time she called Green Fairy, it would flutter its branches.

Zhao Xiaoxiu guessed that it probably didn't understand that Green Fairy was its name, and might just have taken it as a slogan, responding to her commands in a certain way.

But it doesn't matter, Zhao Xiaoxiu knows that once she calls it more often, it will definitely know that she is calling her name.

"Green Fairy, open all the doors! Don't block Granny Meng, Uncle Meng, or Second Uncle Meng," Zhao Xiaoxiu commanded as she returned to the main gate.

Thus, under the shocked gazes of the Meng family mother and her two children, the unknown mutated vines covered in sharp thorns quickly detached from the front and back doors at Zhao Xiaoxiu's command.

"You can go out now." Zhao Xiaoxiu turned around and smiled at the Meng family mother and her two children.

She felt she should explain, but as soon as she opened her mouth, the three members of the Meng family, mother and sons, who had sensed her intention, all raised their hands to stop her.

The three of them said in unison, "Don't say anything, we don't know anything, and we don't want to ask anything!"

After saying this, the mother and her two children picked up their weapons and rushed out the door as if fleeing to go hunting.

Although they were clearly frightened when they saw the thorny vines extending from both sides as they passed through the gate.

But the mother and her two children quickly pretended nothing had happened, and you said, "This is normal."

He said, "It's alright, it's alright. Gangzi and Xiaoxiu both said it's nothing, so they definitely won't eat people." Then he walked away.

The patrol car drove past Territory 13 as usual... Suddenly, a screeching sound of brakes rang out!

An hour later.

Mo Shigui led the soldiers of the B-sector patrol station, fully armed, with flamethrowers set up, and appeared at the entrance of Territory 13, lined up in a row, facing the green wall not far away.

No one knows who leaked the news, but all the lords of District B, who were supposed to be at work, came and stood far behind the training soldiers, looking at each other in disbelief and apprehension.

Mo Shigui raised the megaphone and shouted, "Zhao Gang, come out and give everyone a reasonable explanation! What exactly is going on with this Grade A mutated plant?!"

"What?"

"Level A?"

The lords stared in astonishment at the green wall in the distance; it was actually a Grade A mutated plant!

The lords who have lived in the Cataclysmic World for fourteen years know all too well what Grade A means.

Grade A indicates a high degree of mutation, classifying it as an extremely dangerous species.

Sheng Qingyang didn't know what others were thinking at that moment, but she was really startled. She took out her phone and, away from the crowd, quickly called her little apprentice.

"Dad, the phone." Zhao Xiaoxiu, who was perched on Monkey Sister's shoulders and peering out from behind the door, heard the phone ring and reminded her father inside to answer it.

The Green Fairy was very hostile to Mo Shigui and the others outside the door. The branches on the green wall were bared and clawed, and all the sharp thorns were exposed. A tiny bit of poison that could paralyze someone and cause sudden death was brewing.

But before it could even form, Zhao Xiaoxiu slapped it to the ground, saying, "You better behave yourself."

The main branch, which had been hit on the red brick and lost a lot of leaves, shrunk back against the wall in a sorry state, becoming much more well-behaved.

Inside the house, Zhao Gang glanced at the mutant that his cub had completely subdued, smiled proudly, and answered the phone.

Hearing Sheng Qingyang's anxious question, Zhao Gang was not surprised at all and replied, "Xiao Xiu is fine, you don't need to worry about her."

He hung up the phone immediately.

Even the good-natured Sheng Qingyang couldn't help but secretly roll his eyes.

However, Zhao Gang's statement suggests he has a solution. It's unclear what this father and daughter are up to; are they addicted to raising mutants? Raising a monkey and a fish isn't enough, now they're interested in mutant plants?

Sheng Qingyang exhaled a breath of stale air, keenly aware of the gossipy and inquisitive gazes of Bai Cailing and the others. Afraid that they would come to ask him questions, he quickly slipped away.

No sooner had Sheng Qingyang left than Zhao Gang emerged from inside the green wall.

He stood by the door and waved as if nothing had happened: "Come in."

A moment of astonishment flashed across Mo Shigui and the others' faces. Go in? Go in and become nourishment for the mutated species?

Mo Shigui raised the megaphone and shouted, "Zhao Gang, I advise you not to go too far!"

Zhao Gang remained unmoved and continued to invite them in: "You are welcome to come in. These are the plants my daughter Xiaoxiu keeps to help guard the house. As long as you don't cause any damage, they won't bite."

Still guarding the house?

Are they really treating Grade A mutant plants like watchdogs?

Mo Shigui raised his hand to his forehead, then put it down and put one hand on his hip, raising the megaphone: "I don't care if you're raising it or what, this mutated plant is extremely dangerous. For the safety of all the lords in the district, I order you to eliminate it immediately!"

"no!"

Zhao Xiaoxiu, who had just rushed out the door, looked up in confusion. Who had stolen her lines?
