Chapter 195 The fighting has started again (2/2)

Ji Juntao paced back and forth in his office, like an athlete who had just taken performance-enhancing drugs, his teeth grinding together.

"You idiot! You're just a stupid donkey! A self-righteous stupid donkey!"

Ji Juntao suddenly turned around and shouted, "Do you think what you posted on Gu Wenhua's account was too funny? Are you still regretting that you couldn't post it yourself? You—you you you..."

Ji Juntao extended a finger, its tip trembling, almost touching Shang Yechu's forehead.

Even a clay figure has some earthy spirit, let alone Shang Yechu, who was never exactly a kind soul. She had hoped to have a proper chat with Ji Juntao, but the other party flew into a rage the moment they met, making any conversation pointless.

Shang Yechu sneered and brushed away Ji Juntao's finger: "If I'm a stupid donkey, then what are you? A coward! A coward who dares to do but not to say it! A rat! A rat that does dirty tricks in the gutter!"

"—!" Ji Juntao looked like he was about to faint from anger. He pointed at Shang Yechu with one hand and patted his chest with the other, unable to speak for a long time.

Ji Juntao was trembling with anger. Shang Yechu stood three feet away from her and saw that her face was ashen and even her lips were trembling. She felt a little sorry for her, but she couldn't bring herself to comfort her, so she could only turn her face away and refuse to look at her anymore.

"Fine...fine!" Ji Juntao suddenly said hatefully, "I'm a rat—I'm a rat! I ran around doing all this, and this is the end result—look at this!"

Ji Juntao tore open his handbag, snatched something out, and threw it at Shang Yechu's face with a "smack"!

Shang Yechu was caught off guard by the other party's move and was unable to dodge in time, getting hit squarely. Just as she was about to get angry, she was stunned when she saw the words on the object.

Halfway through the sky.

A stack of thick white paper, white background, large black characters. Below that, a line of smaller print reads: [For Internal Use Only, Do Not Distribute.]

What Ji Juntao threw over was actually a script for "Half of the Sky"!

Shang Yechu was speechless for a long time before finally saying, "How could you—"

Ji Juntao sneered: "You're too proud to lower yourself to ask Zheng Bohan for the script. You're afraid of ruining your spotless white lotus image. I'm a rat, and rats can steal anything."

Suppressing her anger, Shang Yechu said, "Can't you speak properly? How long are we going to keep arguing about this pointless nonsense?"

Ji Juntao glanced at Shang Yechu, then turned around and poured herself a cup of tea, gulping it down in one big gulp. The way she did it made Shang Yechu wonder if she would choke.

After finishing his drink, Ji Juntao slammed the cup down and sat down on the sofa with an air of nonchalance.

Shang Yechu walked to the window and closed it. Now, the room was completely quiet.

Ji Juntao barely suppressed his anger and said coldly, "There's a department secretary at Ruguan TV who's an old classmate of mine. Of course, she's only been there for two years; she's a newcomer. She wouldn't dare to make any big moves."

“I went to great lengths to get in touch with her and had dinner with the leaders of Ruguan TV.”

A few words, few phrases, yet each word carries immense weight.

Shang Yechu was taken aback. So this was what Ji Juntao's assistant meant by "eating for the newcomers"!

Ji Juntao picked up her teacup, intending to pour herself another cup of tea, but the teapot was already empty. Shang Yechu glanced at her, then picked up the leftover fruit tea from her takeout order and handed it to her.

Ji Juntao disgustedly wiped the straw stuck in the cup—the straw tip—and then started gulping it down.

“Although Zheng Bohan agreed to buy you a month, his promise is not foolproof. Or rather, it only guarantees half the damage.” Ji Juntao threw the empty cup into the trash can. “Only when the higher-ups make the final decision can the other half be covered.”

Shang Yechu's heart leaped into her throat: "Could it be..."

"The producers of 'Half the Sky' have agreed that you should audition in a month." Ji Juntao lowered his eyes.
