If there's no way to disembark from the pirate ship, then the only option is to take action against the captain.
Shang Yechu decided to reveal her true thoughts.
"Okay, okay, okay." Shang Yechu made a "stop" gesture.
"It's all clearly written in the contract terms. If you can't remember it, just read it yourself." Shang Yechu didn't mince words. "You regretted it after you put your fingerprint on it? You're really enjoying being Yang Bailao!"
Ji Juntao chuckled twice: "Does the contract say that if I post the copy at six o'clock, you have to rush to post it at five?"
Shang Yechu frowned and said, "You were clearly in the wrong first, weren't you? 'The Mute Woman' isn't just yours. Why did you make such a big decision behind my back?"
Before Ji Juntao could speak, Shang Yechu rattled off a string of words: "Do you know how scared I was when I first saw that piece of crap that Dong Hongtao posted? Do you know how long I spent reading 'The Mute Woman' to find arguments to refute Dong Hongtao, until my eyes almost popped out? Do you know how anxious I was when I couldn't contact you?"
Seeing the growing sense of guilt on Ji Juntao's face, Shang Yechu leaned closer, her gaze intensely fixed on Ji Juntao: "You know, but you don't care. Because you only care about the 'Yechu' name, not about the real Shang Yechu!"
Shang Yechu's intention in saying this was to evoke Ji Juntao's guilt, and then to urge him to "repent." While it's easier to change mountains and rivers than to change one's nature, even a small change is a small victory.
Unexpectedly, Ji Juntao, who was already showing signs of weakness, suddenly lost all guilt after hearing the last sentence, and his eyes blazed with fury!
"I don't care?" Ji Juntao laughed, his laughter tinged with disappointment and gritted teeth in anger.
Ji Juntao stood up, physically occupying the higher ground and surpassing Shang Yechu's height.
Ji Juntao also stared down at Shang Yechu, speaking slowly and deliberately:
"The self-respect you are unwilling to give up, I will give up for you."
"I'll attend the social events you don't want to attend in your place."
"The pride you were unwilling to let go of, I stepped up and let go of;"
"The connections you're unwilling to use, I'll use mine to make up for it—"
With each sentence Ji Juntao spoke, Shang Yechu's expression froze a little more.
"To get this script, I drank with everyone from my old classmates to my former boss, drinking for three days straight with a bunch of pot-bellied old men until my stomach lining was almost burned through. To give you an audition opportunity, I went straight to the hotel as soon as I got off the bus and drank! drank! drank!"
Ji Juntao was very close to Shang Yechu, so close that his breath was on Shang Yechu's face:
"After drinking for so many days, I was hoping to eat something soft to replenish myself, but that damned friend of yours, who's either a mosquito or an insect, insisted on eating some vegetarian feast. I ended up with a mouthful of bird food!"
"He even complained that I smelled of alcohol, and when we sat down, he was eighty feet away from me!"
Ji Juntao pointed to the corner of his mouth and said softly:
"Before coming to see you, I was afraid you'd smell the stench of alcohol, so I crunched a whole box of mints on the plane—"
"And you say I don't care about you?"
