Chapter 274 Returning Birds (2/2)

"What trick are you trying to pull this time?"

"Don't you believe me? Here's what we'll do: I'll write down a list of my missions over the years, consider it a confession. How about that? Hand it over, and I guarantee you'll rise to the top." Li Yiming smiled like an old fox luring people into hell. "Then, Qian Zhao won't be able to do anything to you."

The guard asked suspiciously, "Do you intend to commit suicide with a pen while writing?"

"Suicide with a pen?" Li Yiming laughed loudly. "You really have a vivid imagination. Do you think my pen tip is faster, or your bullet? If you're really worried, I'll dictate, and you hold the gun in one hand and write it down with the pen in the other, how about that?"

The guard hesitated. Such a move would undoubtedly greatly reduce safety and was absolutely not feasible.

"This won't work, that won't work. Here's what we'll do: if you're worried about hidden weapons or guns in my desk, bring the paper and pen from my desk to the sofa. I'll write here. You keep a close eye on me, and if you see me trying to kill myself with the nib of a pen, shoot and break my arm—is that alright?"

After hesitating for a moment, the guard finally succumbed to the temptation to climb up, walked to the table, picked up paper and pen, and handed them to Li Yiming.

Li Yiming stood up and unfolded the paper. After pressing the paper against the wall, he picked up a fountain pen and began to write on it. However, after only a few strokes, the pen suddenly stopped writing.

Li Yiming impatiently picked up his pen and flicked it. A large string of ink dots flew out.

The guard instinctively stepped back.

Suddenly, Li Yiming's eyes sharpened, and he turned around and pressed the pen twice with lightning speed!

This pen is actually a pen-gun!

Two sharp, needle-shaped bullets were fired, and before the guard could even utter a sound, he crashed to the ground. Li Yiming reacted quickly, catching him to prevent his body from making a suspicious thud as he fell.

There were many guards outside, making it impossible to break through. Holding the body of the guard, Li Yiming glanced at the clock on the wall: 11:58—too late.

Li Yiming dragged the body of the guard onto the sofa, first removing the guard's sidearm, and then checking the pulse on the guard's neck.

After confirming that the person was completely dead, I locked the door from the inside. Then, without wasting any more time, I quickly went to my desk, picked up the phone, and dialed a number.

“Tell Qian Zhao,” Li Yiming quickly whispered into the phone, “the code word is ‘four ounces of deep-fried parrot tongue, two jin of West Lake aged wine.’ If the other party still refuses to go with him, say ‘Bluebird, Bluebird!’ Got it?”

Before the call could be answered, the sound of a doorknob turning could be heard from the office door. The door opened in an instant!

Li Yiming suddenly turned around, a resolute glint in her eyes. She quickly walked to the window and opened it.

The clicking of the doorknob had stopped. Li Yiming knew that in a dozen seconds, the person outside would pull out their sidearm, fire a few shots to break the lock, and burst in!

Li Yiming moistened his fingers by putting them in his mouth, then stuck the damp fingertip out the window. A cool, evaporating sensation came from the tip of his finger, and Li Yiming quickly determined the wind direction.

Bang bang bang bang!

The uninvited guest at the door opened fire.

Bang bang bang bang!

At the same time, Li Yiming stuck the muzzle of his gun out the window and fired four shots in the direction of the wind!

The office door was kicked open, and Li Yiming, with his back to the visitor, pointed the gun at his temple without hesitation.

Bang.

A shot rang out.

Facing the direction of the sun, Li Yiming's body fell like a bird returning home.
