"I'll take this." Li Yi actually ordered the weird drink that Sheng Wenzhi had chosen.
Shang Yechu could tell that Sheng Wenzhi didn't like Li Yi, so she thought of using food to shut Sheng Wenzhi up. "What do you want to eat? It'll be faster if we order together now."
Sheng Wenzhi only ordered a glass of unsweetened lemonade.
The lemonade was served quickly, and Sheng Wenzhi poked at the glass straw, taking a small sip.
Shang Yechu had something important to ask Li Yi, so she started by asking, "Don't you have any scenes to film today?"
“No.” Li Yi rested her chin on her hand. “Most of my scenes are with Teacher Yang. She didn’t have time today, so I was free.”
"Oh..." Shang Yechu trailed off softly, a concerned expression on her face. "By the way, does your arm still hurt?"
"Huh?" Li Yi asked, puzzled. "What arm?"
Sheng Wenzhi stopped sipping her lemonade and looked at Shang Yechu: "What arm?"
Shang Yechu gently patted her elbow. "I saw you filming an action scene the day before yesterday, and you bumped into a tree trunk here. The skin on your elbow is very thin, are you hurt?"
"So that's what it is." Li Yi smiled, revealing her teeth. "It's just a minor scrape, it doesn't hurt at all."
Sheng Wenzhi interjected, "What role does he play in the movie? A thug? A bodyguard?"
“No, not at all. He’s an assassin.” Li Yi’s smile was bright and undisguised. “The kind who can kill four skinny, weak men with a single punch—”
Sheng Wenzhi's straw slipped, and she looked up at Li Yi.
Not wanting to waste time on useless things, Shang Yechu took advantage of the moment when the two were bickering to tap her phone twice.
Sheng Wenzhi's phone screen lit up. She unlocked it and saw only five words in the message bar: "[If you have something to say, don't interrupt.]"
Sender: Xiaoyezi
"..."
Sheng Wenzhi glanced at Li Yi, then lowered her head and remained silent.
Shang Yechu continued to inquire about Li Yi's health: "Your leg seemed uncomfortable when we were filming the action scene yesterday? Your gait seemed a bit strange."
"Huh?" Li Yi was stunned for a moment before she realized, "No—that's a kind of leg technique, uh, how should I put it, a prelude to a footwork technique."
"Leg techniques? Footwork?" Shang Yechu asked with interest. "Did you practice martial arts when you were a child?"
Li Yi didn't know how to explain this to Shang Yechu, so he vaguely said, "Yes, I've practiced for many years."
"No wonder your action scenes are so crisp," Shang Yechu praised. "They're a feast for the eyes. Don't laugh at me, but I even tried to imitate a couple of moves."
"What did you imitate?" Li Yi asked with a curious expression.
“This is it.” Shang Yechu said, stretching out a hand and mimicking a kicking motion with his fingers, “Whoosh—it flew out in an instant.”
Li Yi actually figured out which finger dance move Shang Yechu was doing, and shook his head upon seeing this: "I advise you not to imitate this move."
"Oh? Why?" Shang Yechu asked mischievously, "A unique skill?"
“No, not at all.” Li Yi’s eyes and tone were very frank. “It took me five years to master this move.”
Shang Yechu choked on her bread after taking a bite, almost choking to death.
Sheng Wenzhi scoffed.
"You think it's ridiculous?" Li Yi raised an eyebrow.
Sheng Wenzhi was about to speak when Shang Yechu gave her a warning look, so she shut her mouth again.
Li Yihun said dismissively, "I've already noticed that your health isn't very good. This movement, if not done by a virgin, is very harmful to your body. You'd better not do it anymore."
Shang Yechu swallowed the bread in her mouth with difficulty. Just then, the toast and tea that Li Yi had ordered finally arrived.
Li Yi picked up a knife and began cutting bread, her expression very focused.
Shang Yechu suddenly noticed a detail.
Li Yi's hands, used for cutting bread, were very rough, quite unlike her delicate face. Each finger had calluses of varying sizes, shapes, and thicknesses. The palms of her hands, exposed when she forked the bread, also had thin calluses.
Li Yi was undoubtedly a playboy; his usual behavior and speech proved it. These hands…
Shang Yechu's eyelids twitched.
Shang Yechu asked Li Yi out today, intending to subtly ask him for tips on martial arts scenes.
Li Yi's action scenes were very different from those that Shang Yechu had studied or watched. They were clean, crisp, and powerful, without any unnecessary flourishes. Every punch, every palm strike, every move carried a chilling killing intent.
