Chapter 118 Spying

A man stood on a stool, cleared his throat, and pretended to be serious, holding up two fingers: "First, I am the king of the alien city; second, I hate nonsense."

No sooner had he finished speaking than he received a heavy blow to the back of his head, and a thick book on alien anatomy and physiology fell to the ground with a thud.

Just moments ago, Saide was standing on the chair smugly, but now he crouched down, clutching his head. The culprit gradually approached from behind, her black uniform perfectly covering her body, with silver chains hanging from her shoulders.

Gu Li stood there, clenching her teeth, feeling a pang of shame, barely suppressing the urge to throw that idiot Saide out the window, and forced a twitch at her lips.

"What are you doing?" She knelt down beside Saide and asked, feigning confusion, "Why didn't you call me if it was so fun?"

Alfoseni, who had failed to stop him, ignored his pleading look and turned to leave: "I'm leaving. By the way, the cafeteria has natural ingredients available today, so you'd better hurry."

Gu Li twitched her ears, her snow-white teeth flashing a cold light in the sunlight, and waved her hand: "No problem, I guess someone will give me his share today anyway."

Today marks one month since the press conference. The person who caused such a stir in the outside world is now being carefully protected at the Federal University. Countless people are traveling outside, hoping to see her one last time, but they are all stopped by the school.

Gu Li and Saide walked out side by side, playfully bickering, their backs looking relaxed and carefree.

Before Gu Li could look over, the person standing in the shadows retreated into the darkness and returned to a certain activity room. This activity room did not belong to any club; it was one of the privileges of the federal nobles.

Most of those waiting there were noblemen, and when they saw the man return, they all crowded around him: "How was it, Hall?"

Is that person really as powerful as the rumors say?

They saw the screen recording of Gu Li's entrance exam on the campus forum. To be honest, although his performance was outstanding, it didn't have a groundbreaking effect.

In the individual combat category, there have been geniuses like this before, especially recently with the emergence of potions. Commoners have no way of knowing about such things because most of the users are nobles in the safe zone!

Some of them had strange expressions on their faces, and Hall glanced at them and could roughly tell what they were thinking.

Most of these people have used drugs to reach their current strength and status.

Hall: "It's impossible to be sure until we actually fight, but I can sense that the top freshman is no joke. If you guys go looking for trouble, I won't be cleaning up your mess."

Ya'en raised an eyebrow and put his hand on Hall's shoulder: "Hey, isn't saying this boosting their morale while diminishing our own? The first-year students have been a bit too arrogant lately, how about we go check them out?"

Hall slightly turned to avoid his hand, calmly found his seat, relaxed and leaned back in the red velvet chair, and picked up the wine glass on the table and swirled it.

I ignored him.

"Here's a piece of advice for you."

Hall's voice was unusually serious: "That is the king of the alien city. Whether he was temporarily put forward or there is a real reason, he is different from the people you have provoked before."

Yann approached with a frown, his expression darkening. He stood in front of Hall's desk, looking down at him condescendingly: "What do you mean by this? Are you trying to distance yourself now?!"

Half of Hall's face was hidden in darkness, while the other half reflected the light of the wine in his glass. His voice was languid: "That's how it is."

"Don't you understand? She's not someone we can mess with, at least not now."

A person in the corner trembled, their voice barely audible: "But, but someone has already gone!"

Hall slowly raised his head and looked at the boy cowering in the corner.

"Smack!"

The wine glass, along with the bright red liquid, crashed to the ground. He smirked, stood up, and walked out: "A bunch of idiots."

Gu Li withdrew her gaze and continued walking to the cafeteria with Sai De.

Saide turned his head slightly to look at the corner where they had just been: "Aren't you going to do anything about it? Have there been too many irrelevant people showing up at school lately? Do you need me to clean it up for you?"

To be honest, when they learned that Gu Li was the king of that alien city, he and Alfoseni were indeed surprised for a long time, but after the surprise, they had a feeling that "so that's how it is".

To be honest, I really felt relieved.

It's not that they're too weak, it's that the opponent doesn't play by the rules!

Gu Li, bewildered by his strange gaze, slowly stepped into the cafeteria and shook her head: "Don't worry about it, they should be school staff."

Levy said Eric had already set off and would probably arrive soon. Everyone had been bored in the city for so many years, so let them have their fun.

As Saide searched for Alfoseny in the canteen, a chill suddenly ran down his spine, and he shivered.

When a whooshing sound came from behind, he reflexively spun around, grabbed the hand, and delivered a knee strike to the man.

A scream came from the man's mouth, and his companion behind him immediately changed his expression and gripped the long sword at his waist.

At that moment, a cold hand seemingly gently pressed down on his hand that was drawing his sword, and the blade that was halfway out was irresistibly pushed back in.

When Hall and the others arrived, this was the scene they saw. Yann frowned imperceptibly: "Rick is a natural warrior. When he's serious, he's practically the best in the academy."

Even so, Rick's hand, which had been drawing his sword, was seemingly easily pressed back down by a slender, fair hand. Veins bulged on Rick's forehead, but his suppressed hand remained completely immobile.
