Chapter 87 Starlight

Isaac's lips were soft, and Yun Wei's eyes darkened as he suddenly realized this.

He said in a hoarse voice, "Good morning."

Instead, he seized the opportunity to wrap his arms around the servant's tight waist, flipping him over and pinning him beneath him. The loyal knight, quite considerately, offered no resistance, and could even be described as extremely cooperative.

Simple kisses and hugs were no longer enough to satisfy Yun Wei's longing for Isaac. As his feelings for Isaac grew stronger each day, he craved and clamored to completely possess Isaac.

But when he looked over, he saw Isaac lying obediently on the grass mat below, raising an eyebrow and looking at him with some surprise.

The other person's eyes were so clear, like a lake in the high sky, that Yun Wei suddenly felt ashamed of himself.

If love is tainted by desire, is it no longer pure? Yun Wei thought with immense contradiction.

Although he had lived for nearly thirty years, it was only a few months after meeting Isaac that he began to think about and understand love.

He was constantly gaining new understanding of this unfamiliar feeling. He had no reference and didn't know who to ask. The only thing he could do was to secretly flip through "Alch's Love Stories" in his spare time.

He admired the other person's unrestrained and bold use of language, but he was also bound by the past and hesitated to move forward.

If love is about sacrifice and dedication, then for Isaac, he was willing to give up everything.

If love is about fulfillment and understanding, then for Isaac, he was willing to reveal his entire self to him.

But why, even though Isaac would kiss him fiercely, was he always unwilling to go any further? He could feel the other's overwhelming desire and be burned by the darkness in the other's eyes, but he didn't dare to ask.

In Yunwei's past life experiences, everything about love seemed to be shameful.

His parents never used the word "love." In his memory, they never did. It was as if the word was tainted with a dirty original sin, and saying it would be vulgar.

In families where parents did not marry for love, it seems that love is inherently placed on the judgment seat.

One of the few truly heartwarming family experiences he had was when he was still in kindergarten, when the whole family sat around the coffee table watching TV.

Back then, TV programs loved to show foreign movies. Whenever a scene of the male and female protagonists kissing appeared on TV, my father would raise his teacup heavily and drink water, while my mother would click her tongue in disdain and then immediately change the channel.

"This is wrong." This was his most basic impression of love.

Even at his grandmother's house, where he felt most relaxed, Yun Wei received the same feedback.

He still remembers that during summer vacation in elementary school, the most popular cartoon was about a group of young people who loved music and their campus life. He couldn't remember the details of the plot, but he could recall some vague and budding emotions.

Yun Wei didn't realize anything was wrong, but her usually kind grandmother put on a stern face, muttering "shame on you" and "shame on our ancestors," before quickly turning off the TV.

Then, it's after moving up to the fourth grade of elementary school—

As if overnight, families and schools reached some kind of tacit understanding, and the Don Quixotes began to guard the windmill in the Fool's hand with utmost vigilance.

Early romantic relationships are an undeniable serious crime.

The homeroom teacher and the dean of students seemed to have the saying "men and women should not touch each other" firmly in mind, and from the moment the seating arrangement began, the invisible ruler was already raised high.

In the classroom, if there is any inappropriate interaction between male and female students, countless eyes will immediately be fixed on them, and teasing and jokes will follow.

In this grim situation, an even more terrifying fact is that Yun Wei is gay.

Then came junior high school, where love was widely recognized as a stumbling block to academic progress.

The new homeroom teacher was very straightforward and once proudly declared that he was most enthusiastic about "breaking up couples".

This was Yun Wei's entire impression of love before the apocalypse. After that, he struggled to survive every day, and all his extra emotions were shelved, as if everything about them was sealed in Pandora's box.

Life unleashed a devastating storm; the floodwaters receded, but the scars remained, seemingly indelible. His emotions, nipped in the bud, were shattered and torn apart, leaving him deeply wounded.

But he still longed for love.

The moment he met Isaac, an instinctive longing welled up within him. But alongside that innate emotion, the long-standing wounds etched into his soul constantly gave rise to denial.

That's why it seems that expressing his love verbally is Yun Wei's limit. Even though he desperately desires the other person's body right now, he doesn't dare to bring it up.

He knew Isaac wouldn't refuse, but he was also afraid that the other would look down on him.

He was like a moth scorched by flames, fluttering his already tattered wings, constantly trying to get closer to the bright candle flame, yet fearing the silence that followed the burning.

Rising desires are like the tide; after a momentary impulse, they suddenly recede.

So Yun Wei lay down again, snuggling into Isaac's arms with practiced ease, and explained, "Sleep with me a little longer."

Yun Wei didn't usually like to stay in bed, but at this moment, he wanted to spend a little longer with Isaac. The autumn morning sun was very languid, and nestled against the other's broad chest, he felt incredibly happy.

Perhaps this is enough; he shouldn't be greedy. Yun Wei thought calmly.

Fortunately, Isaac did not refuse. After a moment of stunned silence, he reached out and obediently embraced his master who was nestled in his arms.

After the two of them made some minor adjustments and found a more comfortable position for each other, Isaac rested his chin on the top of Yunwei's head and lowered his eyes.

Yun Wei grasped Isaac's large hand and closed his eyes contentedly in the other's presence.

He failed to notice the turbulent energy gradually rising in the other person's eyes.

...

Then the two of them cuddled and whispered sweet nothings until almost noon.

"Lust blinds the mind." Yun Wei said of himself.

His face was flushed, his chest heaving; he hadn't completely calmed down yet.

At this moment, he was tearing a piece of black cloth into strips and wrapping them around his left palm.

The wounds caused by the power of the dead cannot be completely healed by the magic of light. Even if the wounds heal, they leave behind crisscrossing scars, and the lines on the palm that indicate fate are no longer clearly visible.

Yun Wei himself didn't seem to care much.

But Isaac was heartbroken, holding it in his hands and kneading it again and again, kissing it repeatedly.

She even secretly licked it when he wasn't looking.

Yun Wei couldn't bear to see the heartbroken look in the other person's eyes, and since the scars might really be quite gruesome, he decided to cover them up a little with a strip of cloth.

To be honest, he thought it looked pretty cool, like a martial arts hero in a wuxia drama.

Of course, Isaac also bore a scar on his shoulder. After waking up, Yun Wei boldly pulled open the other man's shirt and saw the comet-like scar…

And around that scar, there were particularly shameful bluish-purple teeth marks.

He pretended to be trying to count the comet's jagged edges, secretly intending to cast a "light therapy" spell on it, but was discovered by the cool and handsome knight.

For reasons unknown, Isaac insisted on keeping the ring of teeth marks, and in response to his protests, he was punished with a "fierce" kiss.

In that suffocating kiss, through his once again soaked eyelashes, he finally counted the number of serrations on the scar.

It was a seventeen-pointed star.

After skillfully tying a knot, Yun Wei silently thought that he would probably remember this seventeen-pointed star for the rest of his life.
